Installation Procedure

SW 4.6.2 Update 2

IMPORTANT:
The installation procedure must be carried out only by B-K service personnel or their
authorised representatives, who are aware of the hazards involved.

Necessary tools for the installation:

 USB Flash Key / empty CD


 Download the update from the service web site and UNZIP IT to a USB Flash Key
or burn this file to an empty CD. The following link can be used:

In unzipped form the patch consists of this file:


0330_266_120_Update_2.exe
NOTE:
This procedure is only valid if software 4.6.2 is already installed on the scanner.

Update #1 is already installed in all scanners with sw 4.6.2.

1 Installing the software


1. Start up the scanner and wait for complete boot-up.

2. Press ALT + X

3. Enter password: viking and click


OK, the scanner will then turn OFF.

4. Turn on the scanner and wait for it to boot up in service mode. The monitor will then
show this image

5. Connect the USB Flash Key or insert the CD containing the update files

6. Double click on explorer

7. Locate 0330_266_120_Update_2.exe file on your USB flash key / CD

8. Double click on 0330_266_120_Update_2.exe and wait for the dialogue to appear

9. Click Next >

10. Click OK

11. Remove USB flash key.

12. Double click on “Start in Console Mode”

13. Choose YES and OK.

14. Double click on "Reboot scanner"

2 Verification
Finally verify that software update examining the version number.

Click on Image tab, Advanced button, Customize button, System tab, Version tab:

You should now see the lines
