“ESSAY COMPETITION IMPORTANCE OF SCIENCE FOR THE FUTURE”

Science Science plays a role in our daily lives and in our collective future;
however, few problems are solved by a single discipline. People with diverse
backgrounds and expertise are needed to translate scientific insights into action.
Science will continue to surprise us with what it discovers and creates; then it will
astound us by devising new methods to surprises us. At the core of science's self-
modification is technology. New tools enable new structures of knowledge and
new ways of discovery. The achievement of science is to know new things; the
evolution of science is to know them in new ways. What evolves is less the body
of what we know and more the nature of our knowing.

There will be more change in the next 50 years of science than in the last 400
years. This will be a century of biology. It is the domain with the most scientists,
the newest results, the most economic value, the most ethical importance, and
the most to learn. Science is a very diverse field with many possible job
opportunities and career paths. Whether you have an interest in working with
computers, the weather, or medicine (just to name a few possibilities), it is highly
likely that there will be a job available in the field of your choice in the future.
Which means, science can help us with our career too in the future.

A faster science would lead to faster innovation in medicine and technology.

Cancer could be cured 2-3 years sooner than it otherwise would be, which would
save millions of lives. Science is essential to solving major problems that affect
millions of people, such as global warming, disease, poverty, and inequality. It is
obvious that science plays such an important role in our daily lives and in our
collective future.
