Prerequisite Geodesy (SUG132)

Course Objectives On completion of this course, the student should be able to:
rdevelop an understanding on the basic concepts of
physicalgeodesy and extend the knowledge into
surveying and mapping.
.have sufficient theoretical and practical background of
space positioning techniques.

Course Description This course consists of two sections:

e PhysicalGeodesy
Satellite Geodesy
=
The first section covers the study of the physical properties of
the gravity field and its geodetic applications. The second
section of the course focuses on positioning from artificial
Earth's satellite.
