1.1 Overview

2.1 On Analog Sets

On analog sets, a call can be distinguished as being:
- Internal (local or ABC network)
- External
- Appointment reminder
- Attendant or priority
- Following call forwarding
- Following a reminder

2.2 On Reflexes and Alcatel 8 and 9 Series Sets

On Reflexes sets, a user can choose the melody and volume of the ringer (see user guides of
concerned sets). The manager can assign particular rings (melody and cadence) for particular
types of calls:
- Internal (local or ABC network)
- External
- Manager type (in a manager/assistant (assistant) configuration: see module
Manager/assistant sets - Overview )
- Priority (for local internal calls only)
Note 1: A call's priority is based on the hierarchical level of the set, as defined by the PCX manager.

Note 2: On Alcatel 8 and 9 series sets, a specific parameter validates this configuration.

between call types (higher or lower priority). The ring
type is defined by the Executive Type Ringing
Cadence No. attribute (shown above).

• Calls from users of a same priority (different from 0) are indicated by a “manager”
cadence.
• Calls from users of a same priority, when this priority is 0, are indicated by a standard
cadence.
• When the called user is of a lower priority, the set rings with a “manager” cadence
type.
• When the called user is of a higher priority, the set rings with a standard cadence type.
