LESSON PLAN IN HEALTH 3

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to do the following:
a. explain the measure to prevent diseases,
b. practice ways to prevent diseases.
c. demonstrate good decision-making skills to prevent diseases.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Warm-up/Drill
a. Prayer
b. Checking of attendance
 How many boys are present? How many girls?
c. Action song
Title: “Que Bonito Queda na Monte”

2. Recall
 I have here pictures, if the pictures show keeping the environment clean, raise your hands
and shake them. If it is not make two thumps down sign.

3. Motivation
 This time I am going to divide the class into 3 groups. If you will be participating well in
class, your group will be having points. And this will be recorded in our incentive chart
today which is called “COVID-19 PATIENTS”. Patients will be removed from your
hospitals if you will do good.
 Now, let us watch a short video. Are you ready?
 Setting of standards:
But before that, what are the things that we should remember when watching a video?
Possible answers:
Keep quiet.
Understand the video.
Jot down notes.

1. What are the things that the girl does before eating?
(She held her dog and cat, carry the rabbit, fed the horse, and ate slices of apple.)

(She almost forgot that her hands are dirty, but she was able to wash her hands.)

(No/Yes, I do)
4. Why is it important to wash our hands before eating?
(Washing hands can keep us healthy and prevent the spread of diseases.)
5. Now that we are facing the Covid-19 pandemic, how often do you wash your hands?

Each group will be given an envelope that contains a picture puzzle. Once done solving
the puzzle, you will be posting your works on the board and tell what it is all about. Are
you ready?

What are the things we should to keep our body healthy?
1. Cleanliness- Take a bath every day, use clean clothes, brush teeth 3x a
day and keep our surroundings clean.
2. Exercise- Spend 30-60 minutes a day in exercising.
3. Foods- Eat nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables.
4. Sleep- 8- 10 hours of sleep is required to stay strong and healthy.
5. Consultation at the Health Center- Consult a doctor every time you are
not feeling well to avoid diseases.
