Disadvantages of being a working


mother
Outline:
* Topic sentence: Beside a lot of benefits like becoming a good example for children,

contributing to household income ,being a working mother bring about some disadvantages.

* Supporting ideas:

- Having traditional roles:( housewives, housekeepers )

+ Staying at home, doing all the housework and looking after their husband and children

+ Women are also the main caregivers for elderly people

- Don’t spend enough time with children and family:

+ Not able to attend their kids parent meeting , children can’t share about their problems in

school or about themselves with their mom

+ Extend the gap between mothers and their children

+ Can’t attend family events due to their busy schedules

- Prone to health issues and tired:

+ Has to manage both house and office at equal level leaving tired at the end of the day.

+Less time for the woman to take care of herself, making her more prone to diseases.

- Not being good workers:

+ Tiring and boring chores at home affect women's tasks in their working place negatively.

+Can't concentrate or work effectively because they have to worry about kids and

housework.

- Meet inequality and in workplace:

+ Women may be paid fewer though they do the same work with men.

Beside a lot of benefits like becoming a good example for children, contributing to

household income ,being a working mother bring about some disadvantages. First, women

have traditional roles as the housewives and housekeepers. They are thought to be staying at

home, doing all the housework and looking after their husband and children.In extended

family, women are also the main caregivers for elderly people. Secondly, working mothers

don’t spend enough time with children and family. Due to office work, most mothers are not

able to attend their kids parent meeting and children can’t share about their problems in

school or about themselves with their mom,which extend the gap between mothers and

their children. At times, women can’t attend family events due to their busy schedules.

Moreover, A working woman has to manage both house and office at equal level leaving her

tired and emaciated at the end of the day. This often leaves very less time for the women to

take care of herself, making her more prone to diseases. In addition, working mothers can
not

be good workers. Tiring and boring chores at home negatively affect women’s tasks in their

working place.They can't concentrate or work effectively because they have to worry about

kids and housework. Finally, working mothers can meet inequality in workplace, they may

be paid fewer though they do the same work with men. Clearly, mothers should consider

choosing working or staying at home.
