9.10.21 Welcome Unit, Lesson1 Academy Stars 4 9.10.21 - 31.10.21


 To meet the characters (Pupil’s book, Workbook)
 To describe people’s lives and interests (4 weeks)
Tr tells students that they are going to be introduced with the characters : Peter, Fun for Flyers
Jane, Vicky….. . After meeting the characters ,tr asks Ss to say the names of the
characters by showing and pointing the pictures of one after another.
Tr explains about people’s lives ( living in different types of house..) and their Audio
interests ( about their favourite subject).
By making groups, let the Ss to practice conversation about their lives and
interests.

Lesson 2
10.10.21
 To review vocabulary
Tr creates 5 categories with 5 headings : sea animals, musical instruments, food,
leisure activities and months.
Then let the Ss to think of the words that they have learnt from past and let them
to put under the correct categories.
To play guessing game.
One asks 4 questions those are describing an animal. The name must be hidden.
The other has to guess what that animal would be.

Let the Ss to do workbook exercises. (lesson 1 and 2)


16.10.21 Unit 1, Holiday news
 To identify and use new words: the world around us
Tr reviews the words related to holidays that Ss have known.

Lesson 1 Vocabulary
 To listen and play game “What’s next”
 to write new words in note book
 to sing the song

Tr lets the Ss to listen to the audio and guess what will be the next words. Once
they can say correctly, let them to write down in their note book.
By showing the pictures sequence, tr explains the correct use of prepositions.
After that play the audio to listen the song ‘Flying home’ and Ss have to sing
together in next time.
Let the Ss to do workbook exercise. (lesson 1)

17.10 .21 Lesson 2 Reading


 to identify new words: preposition of place and activities
Tr asks students to listen to the audio before reading the text and to guess what
about they are going to read.
Check their understanding by asking questions.(How many characters are there?
Are they boys or girls?)
Then Ss have to try to describe about the prepositions that they have heard in
listening.
Explain about the different types of prepositions and the ways of using them
accurately .
Lesson 3 Reading comprehension
 to interpret preferences
 to know sounds and spelling
Explain about the meaning of preferences with examples and
have discussion. Ask Ss why do they like their holidays. Let them say the answers
with their own reasons.
Listen and say the chant then check the spelling of the words that are rhyme.

Lesson 5 Language in use


 to use verb + …ing.

Playing the audio and let the Ss to listen and ask what they are talking about.
play again the recording and let the Ss to say together .
Discuss about the holiday activities and let the Ss say their preference activities
one after another. (to use love, enjoy, like, don’t mind, don’t like)
To do workbook exercises. (lesson 4 and 5)

24.10.21 Lesson 6 Listening and speaking


 to play a memory game
 to listen for specific information
 to ask questions about a holiday photo

Tr shows the holiday photos to the Ss and say them to see carefully. Then let the
Ss to close their books and ask questions about those photos.
Tr asks Ss the usage of verb (Ving) when describing about holiday activities.
Ss have to talk about the holiday photos in group work.

To do workbook exercises. (lesson 6)

Lesson 7 Writing
30.10.21  to write text messages
Tr explains about the punctuation marks with examples. Then continue to explain
about the use of exclamation mark (!) in informal writing to show excitement and
enthusiasm.
Let the students to write their own text message and put the correct punctuation marks.
To do workbook exercises. (lesson 7)

Lesson 8 Think about it!


 To do a class survey
 To analyse and evaluate information

Tr explains about doing survey with example. Let the students to try to complete
the missing information in a class survey.
Do a holiday survey.
Let the Ss to think of the holiday questions.
Ss ask and answer the questions in group work.
Then Ss draw a bar graph with their results.
Ss share their conclusions with the class.

Reading time 1
31.10 .21  To develop reading fluency
Before reading the text, tr asks Ss what do they understand about the word
“Blog” and how to call the one who writes blog.
Let the Ss to check the pictures first and to guess what they are going to read in
this blog.
Play the audio and check the Ss’s understanding by asking questions.
Do the activities of reading time 1.
