PRE-INSTALLATION

1 Ensure all material (pipes,fittings & accessories) are as per approved TDS

2 Check for the clearance from civil and other agencies

3 Check the availability of latest revision of GFC/shop drawings

4 Check for PTW before start of activity

PROCESS-INSTALLATION

5 Location, Levels, Pipe size are as per approved shop drawings

6 Check Routing of the pipe are as per approved drawing

Check Hanger & Support (clevis hanger, clamp, threaded rod etc.,) with proper

spacing are provided as per approved drawing.

8 Fasteners & Hanger Rod diameter are as per approved drawings.

9 Check for joint preparation & fit up of pipe, fittings to be welded are proper

10 Check for visual inspection of welded joint

11 Check threads for joining of pipes & fittings are as per requirements.

12 Ensure threaded joints are properly tightened with thread & holdtite

For Underground GI Piping, Bituminastic paint & wrapping of polythene tape of

POST-INSTALLATION

13 Ensure threaded joint pipes are aligned & straight

14 Ensure that installed pipe are aligned properly.
