Let’s promote our Cultural Heritage!

Learning Objectives:
1. Know the cultural masters in the Philippines
2. Inculcate appreciation and love for the Gawad ng Manlilikha ng Bayan awardees and
their art
3. Promote appreciation for GAMABA awardees and their artworks

Instruction:
1. Watch the video: “Past Masters, Cultural Bearers” in our Moodle course page.
2. Choose one Gawad ng Manlilikha ng Bayan Awardee (GAMABA) featured in the video.
Choose the artist and his or her artwork that feel most connected to.
3. Research more about your selected GAMABA awardee and his or her work through
books or online articles. There is no need to interview an actual person.
4. Create an appreciation post about the art of your selected GAMABA awardee. Include a
photo and a caption.
5. Make sure to cite the owner or source of your photo. This should be included in the post.
Give credit to all sources.
6. The caption of the appreciation post must be originally written by you. It must say why
the artist is great. One phrase or line only. You may use hashtags and emojis.
7. Make sure the caption is polite, respectful, and captures the beauty of the work of the
artist.
8. Put the appreciation post in the box below. (Second page of this worksheet).
REMINDER: Do not post this assignment in any social media platform. Put the
#AppreciationPost assignment in the box below. This is for academic purposes
only. You may do so later, but it is understood to be a personal post and not part
of the class.
9. Download this worksheet. Upload this worksheet back in our Moodle course page, in the
assignment tab of this module.
