Q-1 What are the IT success parameters that one can drawn from the case ?
Ans- Here , are some IT advancement techniques or tools used by Santo Automobiles –
1) The very first step take by Santo in field of IT was to develop the Integrated
Information management solution.
2) Santo Automobile also started using “CAE” Computer Aided Engineering technology
to rapid creation of high – quality design models.
3) They also started with computer “Central System” to save all the blueprints of previous
models for future use.
4) They took the help of Three- dimensional electronic model & (VR) virtual reality
equipment to stimulate the experience of operating the processes in real time.
5) Last but not the least they have also created powerful electronic link with the help of
powerful “EXTRANET”.

Q-2 Does the IT integration offer strategic advantage to companies? Justify using
case examples.
Ans- Yes, IT integration always offers strategic advantage to companies-

Just taking the example of Santo automobiles where launching new models
and upgraded the old one was appeared as a new challenge for them to sustain in
the market.
For them, the very first challenge was to develop a fore runner for the market
segment of CUV (Compact Utility Vehicles). They wanted to put the advantage in
their product with the help of IT resulted they produced younger group segment car
with lower budget within 30 months.
With the help of CAE (Computer – Aided -Technology) company was also able to
create a high quality design models to push the growth of the company.
Three- dimensional electronic models & VR equipment provided the biggest
advantage to the Santo due to which they were able to complete their whole project
in less than 3years.
So, we can say that IT provide a competitive advantage to any firm in most of the
sense if use in a right way .
