God is not dependent upon anything
or anyone (Ex 3:13-14) for His
thoughts (Rom 11:33-34), His will
(Rom 9:19; Eph 1:5), His power (Ps
115:3), or His counsel (Ps 33:10-11)

B. GOD IS SELF-SUFFICIENT
God has never had in eternity past,
nor can ever have in the ages to
come, a single need for which His
own divine nature has not already
provided (Ps 50:10-12)

C. GOD IS ETERNAL
God is absolutely free from the
tyranny of time; neither conditioned
nor confined by time (Deut 33:27; Ps
102:11-12; 90:2)

D. GOD IS INFINITE
God has no limitations; bounded only
by His own nature and will (1 Kings
8:22-23, 27; Jer 23:24)

E. GOD IS OMNIPRESENT
God is present everywhere with His
whole being at the same time; He is
immanent and transcendent (Ps
139:7-12; Matt 18:20)

F. GOD IS OMNIPOTENT
God is all-powerful; can do anything
that does not contradict his own
nature or character (Gen 18:14; Rev
19:6)

F. GOD IS OMNIPOTENT
God has power over nature (Gen 1:4,
7, 10; Isa 40:12, 15), men (Dan
4:30-32), angels (Ps 103:20), Satan

G. GOD IS OMNISCIENT
God is all-knowing; possesses
complete and universal knowledge of
all things past, present, and future (Ps
147:5; Isa 40:13-14; Heb 4:13; Ps
104:24)

God sees all things (Prov 15:3), knows
all things (Ps 147:4), knows mankind

and future (Acts 15:18), knows what
might or could have been (Mt 11:23)

H. GOD IS WISE
God knows how to use His infinite
knowledge to the best possible end
and applies it to fulfil His own
purposes (Ps 136:5; Prov 3:19; 1 Cor
2:7; 1 Tim 1:17; Jude 1:25)

I. GOD IS IMMUTABLE
God never changes (differs from
Himself); He may on occasion alter
His dealings with men in a
dispensational sense, but His divine
character remains constant (Heb
1:10-12; 13:8; James 1:17; Acts 1:11)

J. GOD IS SOVEREIGN
God is the absolute and sole ruler in
the universe and has total (infinite)
freedom, power, knowledge, wisdom
and determination to carry out a
predetermined course of action (Ps
135:6; Isa 46:9-11)

K. GOD IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE

No one except God Himself can even

L. GOD IS INSCRUTABLE
God’s ways are inexplicable and
mysterious (Rom 11:33; Gen 18:25;

M. GOD IS HOLY
God is perfectly sinless and
absolutely pure (Lev 19:2; Ps 99:9; 1

N. GOD IS RIGHTEOUS AND JUST

In righteousness God reveals His love

N. GOD IS RIGHTEOUS AND JUST

God rewards good (2 Tim 4:8),

God’s being and His knowledge
eternally conform to each other; God
is the ultimate and only source and
standard of truth; God cannot lie

P. GOD IS FAITHFUL
God is loyal to Himself and His entire
creation; He will not (indeed cannot)
change His character nor fail to
perform all He has promised (Deut
7:9; Ps 36:5; 89:1-2; Lam 3:22-23)

God is faithful in nature (Ps 119:90), in
keeping His promises (Gal 4:4; Josh

Q. GOD IS LIGHT
God is both the source and strength
of all illumination (1 Pet 2:9; 1Jn 1:5,
7; 2 Cor 4:6; 1 Tim 6:16; James 1:17)

R. GOD IS GOOD
God is kind, cordial, benevolent, full
of good will, tenderhearted and of
quick sympathy toward men; inclined
to bestow blessedness and takes holy
pleasure in the happiness of His

S. GOD IS MERCIFUL
God withholds punishment and seeks
the temporal good and eternal
salvation of those who have opposed
themselves to His will, even at the
cost of infinite self-sacrifice (Ps 51;

Tim 1:13, 16)

God gives unmerited favour. (Ps
