Of Choices and Will: Influence of Media and Historical Linkage As A Voting Reference in The Philippine Election 2022
Of Choices and Will: Influence of Media and Historical Linkage As A Voting Reference in The Philippine Election 2022
January 2022
I. Introduction
According to De Leon (2022), the Philippine election 2022 season began on Sunday, January 9,
bringing in a slew of new policies, including a ban on carrying guns unless a certificate of authorization
from the Commission on Elections has been secured (Comelec). At midnight on Sunday, Comelec
checkpoints were set up in every town and city in the Philippines, staffed by police or military, to verify
whether vehicles were complying with the weapons prohibition. It's worth noting that, while the election
season has begun, the campaign season has yet to begin. Candidates for national elective positions in the
2022 elections will be reviewed exclusively on February 8; candidates for local elective positions will be
assessed on March 25. According to Philippine National Police as of December 2021, they found and
identified over 500 election hotspots with this matter, Comelec issued the Comelec Resolution No. 10695
last February 10, 2021, indicating the illegal actions during the election period.
According to Wikipedia authors (2022), the official candidates for Philippine election 2022 are
Ernesto Abella (independent) for presidential candidate with no vice presidential candidate. Leody de
Guzman from PLM partylist along with him is his vice president Walden Bello from PLM partylist. Third
candidate for President is Noberto Gonzales from PDSP with no vice president candidate. Next
presidential candidate is Panfilo Lacson from Reporma partylist and Tito Sotto from NPC Partylist for
vice president. Faisal Mangondato and Carlos Serapio from Katipunan partylist are running for president
and vice president positions. BongBong Marcos from PFP partylist is running for president and Sarah
Duterte from LAKAS partylist for vice president. Isko Moreno and Willie Ong from Aksyon Partylist are
running for president and vice president positions. Manny Pacquiao and Lito Atienza from PROMDI
partylist are running also for president and vice president positions and lastly Leni Robredo (independent)
and Francis Pangilinan from Liberal partylist are running for president and vice president positions. These
are the official candidates for Philippine Election 2022.
Furthermore, the objective of this paper is to determine the factors that influence the voting
reference of Filipino citizens for this coming 2022 election.
II. Related Literature and Articles
Influence of the Family History and Professional Background of the Candidates on their Preference
on Whom to Vote
According to Batara et.al (2021), based on the previous Philippine elections, the said election
periods were characterized by having the presence of a weak party system, histories of dynamic rule, as
well as the importance of media celebrities in elected political offices. Thus, it was highlighted in the
article the importance of knowing the candidates’ background. With this upcoming election 2022, all of
the candidates, may it be for Presidential or Vice Presidential positions possess different backgrounds or
histories. Example past professions of the candidates was being a boxing legend, former actor, as well as a
dictator’s son. Hence, knowing the former profession of the candidates gives an impact on the perspective
of the voters regarding the candidates' effectiveness.
Moreover, Robert Denning of Southern New Hampshire University quoted that knowing the past,
as well as how past events affect people differently, can create empathy for other people in the present that
have different opinions regarding their social and financial classes or groups. It is said that each one of
them might have a history that may differ from the mainstream. Denning is also convinced that historians
believe that knowing the past can tell us what to do and avoid in the present, although they say having the
exact circumstances rarely happens that is why these circumstances are most likely to have different
analogies from the past.
In addition to this, there is a term called ‘political dynasty’ where it is being referred to a situation
where members of a certain family are occupying different government positions which can be with the
same position but different eras, or all at the same era and time but in different government positions.
According to Beda Jr., et.al (2013), the political dynasty in the Philippines are common within areas with
cases of severe poverty. Thus, some citizens are not in favor of candidates that are known to have
connections with former leaders that have negative reviews from the people. On the other hand, if the
relatives of the candidate made some great things during their administration before, those citizens that
are originally not in favor might change their stand and opinions to being in favor.
Hence, the significance of knowing the family linkage and professional background of every
candidate was proven to be very crucial to the process of choosing which are the preferred candidates of
every voter.
Illustration 1. Comments of citizens about the candidates after knowing their
Family History and Professional Background
Based on the gathered information of the Al Jazeera English digital news channel, with the now
infamous partnership that is being made between Davao Mayor Sara Duterte and Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,
we can now catch up to the latest installment of a long-running political saga between their families. The
two families swung between opposing and supporting each other for decades. This can be traced back to
the 1980s when the mother of President Rodrigo Duterte was one of the leading figures that got rid of
Ferdinand Marcos Sr. in service. According to Alindogan (2021), if we are to talk about Philippine
politics, there is no such thing as permanent allies or friends, only permanent political ambitions.
Moreover, according to Reyes (2020), there is sufficient evidence that shows how the political
fortunes of Dutertes have been closely tied with Marcoses, but not sufficient enough to prove that the
former was loyal to Ferdinand Marcos just before he became the president. With President Duterte’s
October 2016 address, he mentioned that his father was a Cabinet member of the former President
Ferdinand Marcos Sr. during his first term and claimed that his father is one of the two-member who
stood by Marcos when everybody was shifting to the Liberal party, which is to Diosdado Macapagal.
Hence, those claims were confusing, given the facts about the country’s political history.
Opinions of the Citizens with the Candidacy of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in regards to their family
Political History
In one of the interviews from the Al Jazeera English episode, one Filipino citizen was interviewed
and has been asked about his thoughts regarding Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s candidacy for the presidential
position. For the interviewee, if Marcos Jr. is to follow in his father’s footsteps, it is fine with him since
the father, Ferdinand Marcos Sr., also built and accomplished many things while he was in the position
before.
Furthermore, ‘BongBong’ Marcos is emphasizing the fact that at the time that his father was in
power, was a type of golden era that he wanted to reinstate. He is proud to say that he is the son of the
longest president who brought the Philippines into what we call the ‘modern world’. He also took
significance to the success that his father made during his reign such as the improvements he made
regarding the educational system in his time. It is in Bong Bong Marcos’s plan to restore the
achievements his father made.
However, the documentary also made sure to remind people that the time of Marcos Sr. was a
time of military dictatorship and martial law marked by brutality, corruption, hardship and the foolishness
of the Marcos family. Imelda Marcos’s collection of 3000 pairs of shoes was also mentioned, pointing out
how their family was living an extravagant life while others were suffering at that time. Moreover, the
electoral commission still has the power to interdict Bong Bong Marcos for running for the Presidential
position because of his old conviction regarding tax evasion.
It was also emphasized in the video how winning the Presidential popularity contest is one thing,
while the other was really about doing the job.
Illustration 2. Some comments of Filipino voters regarding the Candidates for Election 2022
Impact of social media on 2022 elections
Due to the high rate and cases of COVID-19 in the whole world, Filipino politicians will be
expected to tap into the social media world due to the limited movements because of COVID-19
according to CNN (2021). Candidates for the Philippine election 2022 will influence and impact the
voters through social media. According to Allan Herman (2021), A political strategy, social media will be
the new go-to platform for campaigning. Allan Herman also mentioned that there is a technique in any
elections and it is called ATC or “Awareness To Choice”, this will establish awareness to all residents in
the Philippines and especially to the voters. Herman also raised that social media allows voters and
residents to obtain better insights regarding their chosen candidates.
In addition, social media can help candidates to campaign for themselves, for their party list but
voters are prone to disinformation and fake news about their chosen candidates or the other candidates.
Due to misinformation about the candidates, voters or netizens start to have healthy or unhealthy insights
and political views on social media. With this kind of matter, the admins of all social media such as
Twitter, labeled tweets as misleading and misinformation content of tweets and posts. While on Facebook
and Instagram, the admins of these social media platforms favored removing and banning accounts that
contain misleading information about the candidates for the Philippine election 2022.
According to Quitzon (2021), the battle for the presidency of the Philippines in 2022 is gaining
traction. There are five front-runners among the dozens of candidates who have submitted paperwork:
Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domgaoso,
Christopher "Bong" Go, and Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo. Meanwhile, the Philippines is still battling
the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. With just roughly a third of the population completely vaccinated, a
presidential campaign's ability to successfully use social media and control digital arenas will be critical
in influencing public opinion. Traditional in-person campaign gatherings are also impossible to organize
due to government lockdowns. As a result, candidates will rely on social media to reach out to voters
much more than in prior elections.
In Philippine society, social media is a powerful force. It's a simple and accessible way to
consume material, especially given how sluggish and unpredictable internet connectivity can be. Because
social media is so easily accessible, it is a perfect venue for changing public opinion; as a result,
politicians will go to any length to attract the people's attention. In the Philippines, President Rodrigo
Duterte's campaign was the first to capitalize on social media virality. Duterte's campaign used an army of
internet trolls to "amplify" his message throughout Philippine cyberspace, according to his social media
manager, Nic Gabunada. These trolls promote falsehoods in favor of Duterte's policies and continue to do
so.
The after-effects of Duterte's chaotic social media campaigning will be passed down to the
contenders in next year's elections. Candidates and their followers have either embraced or rejected these
techniques. Isko Moreno, the mayor of Manila, has put his own twist on Duterte's demagoguery,
criticizing "decent" and "moralistic" Liberal Party lawmakers. He used a news conference to malign Vice
President Leni Robredo and her followers in response to the #WithdrawIsko hashtag circulating by her
supporters. Naturally, fans of Robredo retaliated on Twitter, increasing the ugliness of social media.
Furthermore, Bongbong Marcos and his family proceed to work behind the scenes to update the
decades-old disinformation efforts they have been promoting. Facebook sites, YouTube channels, and
influencers reinforce assertions that change the public's perspective of the Marcos family, typically
downplaying or denying the kleptocracy and human rights crimes that occurred during the Martial Law
era. Marcos' campaign has been chastised for "whitewashing" his father's cruel reign as a "golden
moment" for the Philippines, while also spreading myths and exaggerations about the Marcos family
dating back to the 1960s when the older Marcos was president.
Misinformation spread via social media threatens to further polarize Philippine society and
politics. As a result, each contender will have a tough struggle in the 2022 elections. Because just a simple
majority is necessary to win the presidency, the proper mix of fury, virality, disinformation, and trolling
might be enough to shift the scales in any candidate's favor. The stakes for this election are high: Filipino
voters will decide whether the country's democratic institutions are strengthened or weakened.
Most Pinoys on social media say web content has changed their political views
According to Kristine Joy Patag (2018), including the most recent study, 47 percent of Filipinos
use the internet, with 94 percent using their mobile phones to do so. Of those who use the internet, 98
percent use it to check their social media accounts. According to the same poll, 39% of internet users
"browse the web to read, watch, and/or listen to other items of interest to them.” In the meanwhile, 29%
of internet users read, watch, or listen to the news. Another 20% of people use the internet to send,
receive, and read emails.
According to Pulse Asia, 51% of Filipinos who use the internet to check their social media
accounts have "changed their opinions concerning politics and governance at least once" as a result of
anything they saw, read, or listened to on the internet. Luzon (52%) and Visayas (71%) had similar
results, whereas the National Capital Region and Mindanao had 42 percent and 44 percent, respectively.
Six out of ten Filipinos in Class E who check their social media accounts when they go online modify
their political opinions as a result of what they read on their feed. A similar view was expressed by 57
percent of Class ABC students and 49 percent of Class D students. The findings contrasted sharply with
those from June 2017, when "most Filipinos using the internet to access their social media accounts said
they have never changed their political views as a consequence of whatever they discovered on the web,"
according to Pulse Asia.
Only 37% of individuals who use the internet check their social media accounts, according to the
June 2017 study data. According to the data of 2017, 39% of them modify their political beliefs as a result
of what they encounter on the internet. The poll took place from September 1 to 7, with 1,800 people
participating in face-to-face interviews. The poll findings were revealed on October 10, one day before
the Commission on Elections formally opened filing for the midterm elections in May 2019. From June
2016 to May 2017, according to Freedom House, a US-based human rights organization, there was an
uptick in claims of commentators being paid to falsify social media material.
Former Senator Bongbong Marcos turned down GMA News' offer to participate in the
Presidential Interviews, which are moderated by veteran journalist Jessica Soho. Throughout the election
season, several news sources have a tradition of conducting interviews with presidential candidates and
other officials. The Kapuso network will also carry an interview with the presidential contenders for the
2022 elections on January 22, 2022, at 6:15 p.m.
GMA invited five of the most prominent presidential candidates, but one declined. According to
The Philippine Star, Bongbong Marcos declined to participate in GMA News' Presidential Interviews.
Vice President Leni Robredo, Senators Manny Pacquiao and Panfilo Lacson, and Manila Mayor Isko
Moreno, on the other hand, accepted the invitation. According to reports, those who accepted the
challenge would face a series of difficult questions regarding current national issues as well as
controversial themes from the past.
BBM's unwillingness to participate in the presidential interviews drew criticism from his
detractors. Many people used the hashtag "Marcos Duwag," while others speculated that the presidential
candidate would not want to be in the same predicament as Jessica Soho, as happened in a previous
interview.
Illustration 3. Trending tweets about #MarcosDuwag
According to Punay (2022), Instead of having former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
banned from running in the 2019 presidential election, Vice President Leni Robredo chooses to have
another fight with him. "I'm not going to say anything about the disqualification case." But if you ask me,
I'd prefer to beat him in the polls to put a stop to this," Robredo said on CNN Philippines on Thursday
night in a mix of English and Filipino.
When asked what she wants to stop, Vice President Mike Pence noted the false narrative that she
cheated in the 2016 vice-presidential election. "Even though I've previously won in the Supreme Court
multiple times, he continues to peddle this narrative." So it's critical to defeat him in the forthcoming
elections in order to put an end to his efforts to persuade people to believe the story he wants to promote,"
she stated. In 2016, Robredo narrowly beat Marcos. The Supreme Court upheld her victory after a recount
of ballots in the three provinces chosen by the former senator's campaign.
During the discussion, the Vice President identified internet misinformation as one of her
campaign's most challenging difficulties. "We know there are a lot of false accounts right now, and...
social media is working on algorithms, so the distribution channels are saturated, and individuals don't
have enough opportunities to actually recognize what's correct and what's wrong," she added. "We need to
step up our efforts to inform people about what is real and what is not," she said.
When asked about the failed unification negotiations with other candidates, Robredo said she was
disappointed at first, but she has no regrets because she gave it her best. "To a significant degree, I was
successful in combining not the presidential candidates, but the various groups that are now backing our
candidacy," she said. "I said, if I couldn't unite the presidential candidates, at least we're attempting to
unite the people," she said.
Due to this face-off, netizens are sharing their political stands on TikTok, which is one of the most
famous social media nowadays. Below are the sample arguments from the netizens for Halalan 2022.
Specifically between Leni Robredo and Bongbong Marcos.
Illustration 4. Arguments of netizens for Leni Robredo vs Bongbong Marcos.
III. Analysis
Stand of the Future Voters knowing the Family History and Professional Background of the
Candidates
Based on Illustration 1, citizens who are familiar with the family history and professional
background of the candidates have different reactions and opinions about them. Some were convinced
that those candidates that came from a family with political history were really born to lead, while some
are convinced that those contenders were just using their family name to gain popularity when in reality,
they are not as effective as what people would expect them to be by carrying their family history. Others
are also mocking the candidates that have a completely different professional career before, compared to
trying to go for a more authoritative position in the government like the Presidential seat in the present.
The stand between being in favor of the political dynasty in the Philippines is also divided into
two sides. One is the in favor side, believing and focusing on the positive results of the previous
leadership, while the other side is not in favor because they focus on the negative effects and results of the
past relevant administrations.
Despite the numerous past issues regarding these two politically inclined families, the latest
subject matter is on Ferdinand ‘BongBong’ Marcos Jr. and Mayor Sara Dutertes’ partnership for the 2022
Philippine Election. Based on the comments that can also be seen on Illustrations 1 and 2, citizens are
thrilled to see how this partnership will work if ever they win the election. It can be concluded based on
their statements that those who are in favor of the Marcos and Duterte partnership were the ones who
were satisfied with how the father and other family members of those two served before. However, some
citizens are not in favor of these two candidates to win because of the past issues of their fathers such as
the dictatorship of Marcos Sr. and the implementation of martial law, as well as the issues about the
extrajudicial killing campaign during President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.
Reaction of Filipino voters regarding the Presidential Candidacy of Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos
Jr. despite their family’s history
After watching the episode from the Al Jazeera English digital news platform, many people
shared their thoughts and opinions in the comment section. Based on what can be seen in Illustration 1,
the opinions of the spectators were divided. Some were defending Ferdinand Marcos Sr. saying that he
was not a dictator, hence, he only declared martial law to protect the citizens of the country from
communists that were trying to control the Philippines in his era. Others even said that the only real
contenders and people's choice for the Presidential position are Leni Robredo and BongBong Marcos.
They anticipate that younger voters who were against President Duterte will side with Vice President
Robredo, while others will vote for BongBong Marcos since according to one of the commenters, the
former Philippine 2021 era no longer have the strongest sentiments toward the Martial Law. The
commenter gave emphasis on how Filipinos felt betrayed by the ‘Yellow’ government of Aquinos such as
the late Presidents ‘Cory’ and ‘Pnoy’.
Thus, based on the evidence seen in Illustration 2, it can be concluded that despite their family’s
somewhat brutal history, there are many Filipino citizens that are still supporting Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
with his presidential candidacy in this upcoming election in 2022.
Since the current situation of the pandemic, the politicians and candidates for the Philippine
election 2022 took advantage of the usage of the internet and social media to serve as campaigns. With
this kind of campaign, a lot of Filipino netizens and voters have seen and kept on seeing a lot of
advertisements, posts, and different political views from netizens. In that case, many Filipino netizens
and voters are influenced by social media and have open eyes because of the social media environment, as
well as being able to easily get information, news and other things that can help them to choose for their
candidates to vote.
As mentioned in previous related articles, social media is one of the only ways for a candidate to
campaign for his or her name, running position and his or her platforms and plans for the country or the
place he or she will lead in the future. But do voters or netizens think that the information gathered from
social media platforms is a reliable source and legitimate to use in every circumstance?
Fake news peddlers, hackers, trolls, posers, etc. are now active on social media. In this case, there
are times, or most of the time netizens are encountering fake news, trolls posts on social media.
Encountering misinformation on social media has a big impact on a voter’s or netizen’s perspective and
point of view about a candidate unless netizens and voters are not easily fooled and they will start to dig
in some research.
Some of the netizens and voters are easily fooled with fake news, this can lead to bashing and
despising of the Philippine electoral candidates of 2022. This misinformation can lead to brainwashing
and even worse. Netizens and voters must be more vigilant in trusting information because not all of the
context on social media is true and legit.
The majority of Pinoys on social media think digital information has influenced their political
beliefs
In this article, it showed the percentage of people who were using social media, the internet, as
well as cell phones or gadgets all around the Philippines. With the polls that were used, there are Filipinos
who didn’t get affected by social media in order to have changes in their political views and perspectives.
Some Filipinos really changed their political views after being exposed to social media and the internet.
They had options and comments about the candidates they have chosen and they didn’t choose
Moreover, social media and the internet can affect voters and netizens in good, bad or neutral
ways. The effects of social media will still depend on people and their choices. It will depend on their
decisions, beliefs about the candidates and their will to vote.
Recently, all presidential candidates were invited to have an interview with Miss Jessica Soho.
All questions are not related or the same with one another, all presidential candidates were interviewed at
different times and not at the same time. There were people who were assigned to do research for every
candidate in order for Miss Jessica Soho to ask the presidential candidates with questions that made sense.
Candidate Bongbong Marcos refused to participate in this presidential interview because he thought that
every interview was biased.
Due to this statement and side of Bongbong Marcos, the #MarcosDuwag was the top one trending
on Twitter, a social media application. All people in the Twitter world were ranting about it, they were
bashing Marcos. This hashtag was also reached Facebook, a lot of memes were created that are connected
with this hot issue.
Most people say that Marcos is only scared of the truth and answering the questions that can
reveal his secrets, that’s why he kept on using the excuse “biased” to all network channels here in the
Philippines. He doesn’t want to get caught, that is why he refuses to participate in any kind of interviews.
In the 2022 elections, Robredo prefers to compete against Bongbong.
When the official list of candidates for presidents was released, there were rumors and allegations
that were made to Robredo. Those rumors and allegations are related to her campaign's disqualification
case. Since the last election, Robredo and Marcos were fighting against the position of vice president.
Robredo won that time, and this time they were running again for the same position in the government,
the president position.
In this time, Robredo challenged Marcos to compete with her again for the 2022 elections. With
this statement of Robredo, netizens started to share, argue with each other because of their political views.
Most of the arguments are not healthy anymore, there are netizens who argue with the other panel without
concrete or strong references to fight against the other panel. In this case, most of the netizens tend to use
bad words or language, involving the families and even disrespect the other people just to show love,
support and fight for their chosen candidates.
IV. Recommendation
The activities listed below are likely to help mitigate the effects of social media and Philippine
history on Philippine elections:
The researchers recommend this study to future college students who are interested to know
the factors that can affect their political views. This study provides future college students with the
different factors that can affect the political views of individuals. This study can also provide the said
students with a better understanding and fair political stands.
The researchers recommend this study to Filipino Citizens for them to see the different
political opinions, stands and views. This study provides legit articles, news, youtube videos, and polls
about the Philippine election 2022. This study can help Filipino Citizens to be open with different
political views of other Filipino Citizens, this study provides different factors why a person has that
political stand, and this study can provide background history for Philippine election 2022 candidates.
The researchers also recommend this study to Filipino voters for them to have ideas on how
to wisely and properly vote during every election. This study provides relevant information that can
enlighten future Filipino voters on how to handle the information that they can get from social media and
from studying the historical background about the candidates that they need to choose from.
The researchers can also recommend this study to Professors out there since it can help
them get some fresh data and information about the topic, as well as to help them realize how
important is their role with teaching our future voters details that they might need in the future.
One specific example is on how it is important for History professors to make sure that they will not be
biased while discussing the previous significant events of our country. This study might make them
realize that teaching both sides or all of the sides of History gives a more accurate and positive impact to
citizens, especially our voters.
Lastly, this study is recommended for other researchers so that they can continue the study
with slight adjustments and additional information that can also help others such as registered
voters. Other researchers can replicate some parts and objectives of this study so they can help figure out
other factors that can influence the references of future voters, like the candidates’ demographic profiles
and sociological factors such as their incomes, geography and family background.
For the Philippine election of 2022, based on the data gathered from different articles, news,
interviews, polls and YouTube videos, it is safe to assume that the Filipino voters and Filipino citizens or
netizens are really influenced by social media and the history of the Philippine candidates for election
2022. The polls and interviews showed that the Filipino voters will vote for the candidates who have a
better or greater background in politics. Filipino citizens are also doing some background checks of the
candidates regarding their academics, what schools they attended, their achievements and their platforms
for the country.
Furthermore, knowing the family linkage or family history of each candidate is also proven to be
very significant in how voters choose their chosen future leaders. People have different stands on how
those family histories can affect the effectiveness of the said candidates. Some believe that the candidates
with family members that were formerly elected to certain government positions will just continue the
legacy, plans and platforms of their relatives. This is where the debates started since some people were
against how those former leaders implemented things, while some were in favor of how things were done
by previous administrations.
Thus, for the objective of this paper that aims to determine the factors that influence the voting
reference of Filipino citizens for this coming 2022 election, based on the result of this research project,
the researchers can conclude that some of the major factors for the voters’ final preferred candidates are
influenced by the candidates’ family background or history, as well as the influence of everything that is
written and can be seen from different social media platforms.

he knows. He let us (BSY 11) feel that we have a “kuya” in class. He is also active on our group chat just
to send different knowledge, different articles that can help us, his students to learn every day. Sir Jumel
also invites us to several webinars, meetings, or interviews for us to learn from different people.
Sir Jumel always reminds us (BSY 11) ahead of time of the things we need to accomplish, which
is a big edge and helps us as his students because it serves as a reminder without any pressure. Sir Jumel
also inspires us by keeping on sending some knowledgeable links and studies. Whenever we are having
synchronous classes, it feels like we are just hanging out and talking to a friend. Every synchronous class
is very light and peaceful because Sir Jumel and our section always have a responsive and healthy
discussion. Sir Jumel didn’t make us feel that we have wrong insights or perspectives about something but
instead, he used his knowledge to become an eye-opener on every one of us.
With those being said, what do we want to say to him? First, we would like to thank him for being
patient in teaching us the things that are significant for us to learn. We really got so many lessons from
him, not just about history, but some life lessons as well. He made sure that everything that we learned
from him will be essential to our present, as well as for future purposes. We would also like to thank Sir
Jumel for his efforts in teaching us relevant lessons while making sure that we are still having fun while
learning. We also appreciate the fact that he really kept us updated with current events that he knows will
help us understand the real world more.
We wish that sir Jumel also enjoyed teaching our section, just like how we all enjoyed listening to
all of his discussions. We also wish that Sir Jumel will continue his teaching career in order that many
students will be inspired by him and to his knowledge.
Rest assured that we will carry all of the things that we learned from this subject until there will
be a time that we can apply all of our knowledge to solve or accomplish things and issues. We will use the
knowledge that Sir Jumel shared with us for future events, situations and scenarios in life.
Truly we are very grateful to meet you, Sir Jumel. We pray for your guidance, blessing and for
your happiness in life. Till we meet again soon, Sir Stranger.
Sincerely yours,
Sierra, R.A. & Yanuaria, F.A.
