The Exposition of Eco-Friendly Education To the Daily Life of the Junior High
School Students

Abstract: Eco-friendliness is now being incorporated to the educational system of some

students for them to be more well-aware of the environmental issues our planet face and what

they can do to mitigate these said problems. This research aims to know the expositions of eco-

friendly education to the daily lives of junior high school students. The phenomenological study

has been used in this research. The samples are from Muntinlupa National high school which is

categorized as eco-friendly school, respondents are from grade 9 to grade 10. The type of

sampling technique used is purposive sampling because of the fact that the students that are

needed must be experiencing eco-friendliness in their school. The results showed that eco-

friendly education makes the student to be aware of environmental-related issues to perform

what learning and practices from an eco-friendly school that they need to apply in their daily

lives and helps them to be organized, promote cleanliness and to conserve resources. It is in this

light that this study intends to know whether being in an eco-friendly school can affect the daily

lives of junior high school students.

The Factors Why Students in SHS are Reluctant to use English: A Narrative
Approach

ABSTRACT: This study aims to find the factors why students are reluctant to use English as their

language orally and to seek the effects of being reluctant to students in classroom that may help to

resolve the problems that reluctant students experience. Participants were the Grade 12 in Saint Louis

College of Valenzuela (SLCV) since they are the one who struggle in English. The sample of the study

was the students of St. Louis College Valenzuela who were reluctant in speaking English because of

various reasons. This study used narrative approach as a research design and the data were gathered

using semi-structured interviews.

Some of them are Language Anxiety and Lack of English knowledge which affects their

academics and behaviour in class such as being quiet during class recitation and reporting but some of

them trying to improve their selves with or without the assistance of their classmates. This will help

students to understand how important English and why they must not take it lightly.

Implication of Compressed Schedule to the Academic Performance of SHS


Students: A Phenomenological Research

ABSTRACT: Compressed schedule is one of the schedules that is a hard thing to handle

because one must know how to manage time properly because having this kind of schedule,

people cannot give time to their families specially to themselves. This research aims to analyze

the effect of compressed schedule to the academic performance of a student. The effect could

be good or bad to their performance. The samples in this study are the Senior High School

students in St. Louis College Valenzuela with the age ranging from 17 - 18 years old, both male

and female. The samples in this research were asked about how compressed schedule impacts

their academic performance as a student and all of them states that compressed schedule did not

have much affect their academic performance. Moreover, despite the fact that compressed

schedule is draining and exhausting, the samples emphasized that compressed schedule does

not affect their grades because they manage their time properly and they prioritize more their

studies rather than other unimportant things. In these cases, they learned how to value and

manage their time properly that caused them to lessen their procrastination. It uses

phenomenological approach since the students have experienced it. The sampling technique

that is used in this study is purposive sampling since it deals with the required demographic

profile of the study.

Learning Styles of SHS students in relation to their Academic Achievements: A


Phenomenological Approach

ABSTRACT: The best personal way to study differs between individuals especially when they enter

Senior High School due to increasing number of complex tasks. The phenomena associated with

learning styles can greatly contribute to student’s academic performance. This study aims to identify

the significance of one’s learning style to his/her academics, particularly the achievements they

attained while following certain study habits. The samples are all Grade 12 students, both male and

female in St. Louis College Valenzuela. The chosen samples said that through determining your

learning style, you can maximize your potential and lessen the amount of time you need to allot to a

specific subject. The methods used in this research are Stratified sampling, Convenience sampling, and

Phenomenological Study, for the samples are selected by dividing the population into strata and

randomly picking each, are near propinquity to the researchers, and a Phenomenology because it

discusses a definite phenomenon that is experienced by a group of people.

Differences of Distress Level of Grade 11 and 12 Senior High Schhol Students

ABSTRACT: Distress is a general term used to describe unpleasant feelings or emotions that impact

your level of functioning. In other words, it is a discomfort that interferes with your activities of daily

living. Distress can result in negative views of the environment, others, and the self. Sadness, anxiety,

distraction, and symptoms of mental illness are manifestations of distress. This study aims to

determine the differences in distress levels of grades 11 and 12. Additionally, this research also aims

to discover possible sources to make the students distress. The samples that are involved in this study

are compared in which is more distressful and it is determined that numerous possible sources can

affect them from being distressed. Moreover, survey research is used in this study because the data

collected from surveys is then statistically analyzed to draw meaningful research conclusions.

A Phenomenological Study about the Impacts of Flipped Classroom: An Inverted


Learning System

ABSTRACT: This analysis found that various fields were practiced in the flipped classroom

approach, and some technology tools were used as the online platform for its practice. This study

showed the impacts of the flipped classroom brought positive effects toward students’ learning

activities such as achievement, motivation, engagement, and interaction. Flipped classroom is

emerging as a unique approach to improving learner retention and transfer, and making efficient use of

class time. The samples are aged 17 to 19 years old, both men and women in grade 12 senior high

school in Mapua, FEU and MCU. The samples from this research said that when they do the flipped

classroom at home or outside the school, it helps them to understand their lessons and provides more

one-on-one between the students and teachers. The researcher found the effectiveness of flipped class

for the student who undergo flipped classroom. The methods used in this research are snowball

sampling, (purposive sampling) and phenomenological, for this study need a specific sample that who

experienced this kind of teaching method.
