(SECOND DRAFT)

FADE IN:

INT. BEACH HOUSE, LIVING ROOM – NIGHT – CONTINUOUS

The living room is dark as it is nighttime, the lamps illuminate the


isolated room. The curtains are slightly moving from the cold wind coming
from the window. In the background only the sounds of wind and crickets
CHIRPING can be heard. On one wall, 6 big frames with pictures of men are
hung. The pictures have angry red scribbling on the men’s faces. On the
adjacent wall, another 3 big frames with pictures of men are hung. These
pictures also have angry red scribbling on the men’s faces.

CUT TO:

MISA, who is wearing a black hoodie and black pants, exits a dark room
slowly and confidently into a hall that leads to the living room, while
holding a bloody knife. Everything but her face is showing. She is HUMMING
a creepy song.

CUT ON ACTION TO:

Misa walks in the living room, only her bloodied and dirty boots are
showing. She is still HUMMING. Misa opens her bedroom door, which CREAKS.

CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT – CONTINUOUS

Misa continues walking to the bathroom which is in the bedroom. She is


still HUMMING.

CUT TO:

Only the flickering bathroom light illuminates the claustrophobic space.


Misa puts the bloody knife on the sink counter before Misa turns on the
tap while still HUMMING. Misa washes the blood off her hands and then
turns off the tap. A few droplets of water drip from the tap as Misa goes
to turn off the light. The screen turns black.

CUT TO (or CUT ON ACTION?):

INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT – CONTINUOUS

Misa turns on a lamp on her desk, in her unsettling yet spacious bedroom
then opens a drawer to remove a black notebook, while still HUMMING. The
pages are flipping as Misa opens the notebook. Misa starts crossing out a
name with a red pen from a list of 9 names, 3 of which are already crossed
out, in the notebook but stops midway when muffled SCREAMING erupts in the
background (from the dark room). Misa stops HUMMING and releases the pen
on the table roughly. Misa puts the notebook back in the drawer, then
shuts the drawer roughly making a loud THUD. Another muffled SCREAM erupts
at the same time she shuts the drawer.

MUSIC CUE: TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS

CUT TO:

INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT – LATER

Misa is walking towards a hanger in the corner of the room. Misa removes a
red coat, imitating the scarlet blood previously on her hands, hanging
from the hanger. Misa puts on the red coat over her black hoodie. Misa
removes the shiny shovel leaning on the wall.

CUT TO:
INT. HALL – NIGHT – CONTINUOUS

Misa walks back into the dark room assertively with the shovel. The
muffled SCREAMS, laced with panic, arise again as she enters the room. She
keeps the door open.
