Study Plan

1. Please write a brief statement describing your previous academic and professional experience.
On my previous academic experience, I studied at Telkom University majoring in Telecommunications
Engineering. There, I learned about the telecommunications technology in detail, from the theory used to the practice
of operating telecommunications equipment. I graduated from Telkom University with cum laude predicate and my
GPA is 3.79/4.00 within 3.5 years. When I was in fifth I joined an internship at Telkom Indonesia to applied and
synchronize my knowledge in telecommunication industry. Also when I was in seventh semester, I join to the
Indonesian Institute of Sciences for two months to research about antenna and propagation.
After graduate from my study, I try to apply for several bootcamp to learn about cloud computing and data science
such as IYKRA Data Fellowship, Anakdata.id, Telkom Digital Talent Incubator, etc.
For my Professional experiences, I worked for two months in a telecommunications company in 2016 before I
continued my education to university. And also I have been working as a Data Scientist for almost a year now for an
insurance company in Indonesia.
 2. Please state briefly your reasons why you wish to pursue this graduate program.
My first reason why I am interested in joining this program because of my compatibility with my background in
Telecommunications and Data Science. I want to do a research on how to apply machine learning into the
telecommunications world directly. I also want to strengthen my knowledge in this field so that I can apply the
knowledge I have gained in this program to Indonesia because South Korea is the one of the advanced countries in
the field of technology.
The second reason is the culture. South Korea is the country where I would like to stay. I have read much more
about it and I found that South Korea is a great country, many foreign industries, and it improves greatly time by
time. This condition will be an advantage for foreign student like me to learn much new knowledges and gain many
experiences. I really enjoy when I watching K-Drama like Descendant of The Sun, Reply 1988, etc. And I think
South Korean culture is interesting to learn and explore.

3. Please describe your plans for graduate study (at Sejong) and your subsequent career plans.
I want to study Master in the Department of Intelligent Mechatronics Engineering in Sejong because Sejong
University has a good reputation in technology and is one of the best universities in South Korea based on the 2022
QS World University Rankings. In this program, I was put into a research program with professor Cheol Jeong at the
Intelligent Communications Lab (ICL) and start my master program in March 2022. I will complete this master's
program within two years (2022-2024). Also I will study in double major program with Intelligent Drone with good
grades. In this program I will conduct research on the application of machine learning algorithms in the world of
telecommunications, especially in the field of wireless communication.
In my first year, I will put my best effort on studying about the research topic that my professor given to me. I
want to start learn about the basic like algorithm, use case, the problems. Also I want to put my effort on learning
mechatronic and drone course to get a good understanding and grades so that I can get a double major in intelligent
mechatronic and drone.
In my second year, I want to put my effort and focusing on finishing my research in machine learning applied in
wireless communication. I want to produce some high quality papers and published on international academic
joulnals during this period. And in the end of fourth semester, I will focus on graduate dissertation and degree
defense.
After getting my Master’s degree, in the next I want to continue to pursue the doctoral degree to deepen my
knowledge in this field. If all of those programs completed, my deepest commitment is to go back to Indonesia, do
all things I got and learned from South Korea especially from Sejong University, building a new great business with
my own capability as well as try to develop the Indonesian technology. To be a great and leading leader, lecturer and
researcher is the most willingness of me. I have a desire to transfer and develop the knowledge that I have gained
from this program to the students in Indonesia. I want to motivate and equip them as well as share and spread the
knowledge I have is the happiness of life for me. That is my biggest goal.
Finally, I am sure that I am capable to obtain good performance during my study at Sejong University because it
is my own expectation so that I will be able to motivate myself totally. Not only at the time of study, but also after I
am graduated, I will do all my best to applied my knowledge in Indonesia especially in telecommunication and
machine learning fields.
