I.PROJECT TITLE:

To Enrich Students and Teachers in Technological skills through


Project SHIFTED: SHaring Internet connectivity For Teachers,Ensuring the
Delivery of distance learning at Sta. Teresita National High School Sta.
Teresita, Cagayan.

II.RATIONALE:
The pandemic has highlighted the need for flexibility and more time
for student-teacher interactions. Two crucial factors have shifted due to the
pandemic. First, pedagogical adaptations have proven to be pivotal as the
traditional lecturing in-person models do not translate to a remote learning
environment. No matter the type of channel used (radio, TV, mobile, online
platforms, etc.) teachers need to adapt their practices and be creative to
keep students engaged as every household has become a classroom - more
often than not - without an environment that supports learning. Sta.Teresita
National High School are supporting teachers with this. In STNHS where the
main remote learning channel is online , radio, a ‘live’ and toll-free phone
line is open for students to call teachers with questions and schedules of
online lessons and radio lessons allow time for children to help their families
with daily chores.
“The Project SHIFTED (SHaring Internet connectivity For Teachers,
Ensuring the Delivery of distance learning): aims to Ensures inclusive and
equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for
Sta.Teresita National High School and strengthen the relationship between
school and the stakeholders,” is a project sponsored from the
MOOE(Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses)and other stakeholders
through solicitation and donation process. Small amount from the civil
spirited individual greatly help a lot to teachers and students in teaching
learning process. This was made possible through meetings, planning and
effective communication with the MOOE and stakeholders of the school. It
was a big help for every teachers and students to avail free internet services
for easy access to a wide variety of materials for research and
homework .Through this project, teachers and students can now make
researches, online instructional materials, online monitoring of students
without paying and going to computer shops and can make easiest way of
communicating other stakeholders through online.

III.PLAN OF ACTION

A.OBJECTIVES
Generally, the project aims to: Ensures inclusive and equitable quality
education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for Sta.Teresita
National High School .

Specifically, the objectives are: Provides teachers, students and


visitors easier and free access to internet and To strengthen the
relationship between school and the stakeholders.

B.TIME FRAME: Year Round

C.SUBJECT/TARGET CLIENTELE/or COVERAGE:

The target clienteles will be the entire community of Sta. Teresita


National High School, Sta. Teresita, Cagayan. And other teachers too,
will be benefitted since they are the knowledge bearers of their
children.

IV.IMPACT OF THE WORK PLAN

The Project SHIFTED (SHaring Internet connectivity For Teachers,


Ensuring the Delivery of distance learning): is one of the among
innovations to address the needs of Sta.Teresita National High School in
enriching the technological skills of teachers..The project had a very
positive impact specially on the part of the teaching learning process of the
students and the school as well. Teachers of Sta.Teresita National and the
other beneficiaries of this innovation became more active,responsible and
feedback is applaudable.
Amidst the COVID Pandemic, has indeed dealt teachers STNHS
substantial shocks. But there are also lessons that teachers should learn
moving forward. The dependency on the internet and its services is
increasing day by day and the users of teachers are depending more and
more on the Internet for their various educational purposes.
The internet facility has enabled the teachers to enhance their
academic excellence by providing them the latest information. As teachers
start easing into the so called “new normal” and continue preparing for
future crisis events, developing digital services and system will make Sta.
National High School teachers more resilient and able to function even with
large scale economic disruptions.

Teachers are encouraged to use their powers to prescribe specific


training programmes for colleagues and the range of training resources are
expanded so that teachers receive the support they need to improve.
