Chapter 34

Today we will begin our look at Franklin Roosevelt and the New Deal. For the next few
days we will be watching excerpts from The American Experience: FDR. Because the
movie will take up class time, I am counting on you to do some work on your own. I
expect you to keep up with your assignments. Work conscientiously – you will be
quizzed on this material. The assignments run as follows:

Identify the following terms. Be sure to include years of creation, occurrence, and
importance. This information can be found in your textbook, library books, internet, in-
class film, etc.

● Bank holiday
