I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learners understand the human person’s freedom.

B. Performance Standards The learners show situation that demonstrate freedom of choice and
the consequences of choices.

C. Learning At the end of the lesson, 85% of the learners should be able to:
Competencies / Objectives. 1. Define freedom, consequence and responsibility;
Write the LC code for each 2. Express their feelings in relation to freedom and responsibility;
and
3. Realize that all actions have consequences.

Start the class with preliminary activities:

What is the importance of reflection in your daily life?

 Motivation- You are free!!! Learners are given 5 minutes to do


whatever they want.

Activity/Strategy To arouse prior knowledge. Class will have Group Activity! FORM IT
10 minutes This activity will help you to remember your subject-verb agreement in
your English subject.
The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group has envelope
depending on their group number.
Instruction is inside the envelope.

One representative from each group will present their output.

Analysis The learners will answer the following questions based on their output
5 minutes 1. How will you define freedom?
2. Why did you define it that way?

Freedom – the quality or state of being free.
Voluntariness – refers to the ability of a person to act out of his or her
own free- will and self-determination.
Consequence – result of a particular action.

Freedom is intrinsic and essential property of human being.


TWO ELEMENTS THAT DEFINE FREEDOM:
 Voluntariness – person may decide to act or not to act, and this
decision is made out of his/her own free will.
 Responsibility – refers to the person being accountable for his
or her actions and their consequences.
Voluntariness and responsibility go hand-in-hand in determining a
person’s freedom.

Freedom is experienced through the act of making choices.

Self-reflection is vital in the proper exercise of human freedom.

10 minutes
Spin the bottle. After spinning the bottle, the learner who stands
opposite to the head of the bottle will be given time to share about
his/her experiences that is related to freedom and responsibility.

consequence you face. Reflect and critique your own action.
