Visualization Solutions by Nakisa (VSN)

General Information
Visualization Solutions by Nakisa (VSN) is a suite of 100% web-based solutions that provide a range of visualization features for both organizational and talent related information. It supports
organizations in a number of ways such as helping improve the quality of their HCM data, restructuring their organisation, effectively aligning talent goals with business strategy and providing a single
consistent view of the enterprise.

Modules
Visualization Solutions by Nakisa (VSN) is split into 2 suites; SAP Org Visualization by Nakisa (SOVN) and SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa (STVN).

SOVN contains the following modules:

• SOVN OrgChart*.
• OrgHub for Mobile - for access to OrgChart functionality from a mobile device. This is available only direct from Nakisa.
• SOVN OrgModeler.
• SOVN TeamManager (formerly OrgManager).
• SOVN OrgAudit (formerly DataQualityConsole).

STVN contains the following modules:

• TalentHub for HR & Executives


• TalentHub for Managers
• TalentHub for Employees

Note: Formerly TalentFramework, CareerPlanning, SuccessionPlanning and TalentDashboard were STVNmodules.

* A specialist "OrgChart for Defense" module is also available.

Details of the technical requirements for each module can be found in the master guide, environment check list and compatibility matrix. These documents can be found in the installation files, and the
latest versions can be requested from SAP/Nakisa. Each module must however run on NetWeaver (as a Java application), access to SAP and a web browser must be used to access the system (both
front and back end features). Requirements for additional components such as a Java Connector and database varies by module and architecture.

Visualization Solutions by Nakisa (VSN) solutions (with the exception of OrgModeler and OrgAudit) do not require a separate database. However databases can be used to store additional information
such as user preferences, social information and notes where applicable to a module. Primarily the modules depend upon data and objects maintained in SAP ERP Human Capital Management.
Organizations wishing to take advantage of VSN modules should ensure that they have Organizational Structures, including Position and Person data in place.

Opening Nakisa/SAP Tickets


When opening a ticket regarding a bug or an issue with a module it is useful to include specific information to ensure the issue is dealt with efficiently. A template is available to help with this.

Permanent License Keys


When installing VSN module a valid licence key (a.k.a. a serial file) is required. You must request a license key before attempting to use your software. To request the licence key, create a customer
message for component XX-PART-NKS-LKY.

Consider including the following details:

1. Customer (organization) name.


2. Licensing purchased (e.g. 10K OrgChart + 20 OrgPlanning).
3. Modules to be used (e.g., OrgChart, OrgAudit).
4. Language(s).
