In this seven days Celebration of Festivals we have conducted this type of

method, that could allow the guest, sponsors and the people to evaluate this
event. Through webinar and survey form that we can use to review the event and
the total feedback that we can generate.

the law, and preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activities.
In the Event they usually policing principles of preventing crime, keeping the
peace and helping reassuring the event is safe.
 Government
Government authorities play a key role in ensuring community events are
organized, supported and facilitated. The government also help through providing
venues, funding, skilled labor or access to resources, or by taking on event
management responsibilities to deliver a public event.
 Environment
Considering environment for choosing a good location or potential venue that will
help attendees to feel comfortable and safe.

 Health
There should be a fine balance between implementing safety guidelines, while
also ensuring participants benefit from the event.
Even with the general community quarantine (GCQ) underway, the health and
safety of everyone is still the top priority these days. Event organizers face
numerous challenges given the COVID-19 situation. Amidst the government’s
advisories, there are health protocols to keep in mind when holding events.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

 Have a floor plan that observes social distancing

 Consider pre-registration
 Manage the entry flow of participants
 Employ a “no mask, no entry” policy
 Regular sanitation of the venue
 Stay updated on the latest health protocols
 Go cashless
 Opt for pre-packaged meals

 Building

Capacity – can your attendees be safely accommodated inside the venue? Will
they be standing or seated? Is there room to circulate? Are there pinch points
where overcrowding could occur?
Access – is there sufficient access to the event site/venue for pedestrians and
vehicles? Are people with disabilities, wheelchairs or pushchairs able to access
the venue? Are there enough emergency exits?
Hazards – does the site have any existing hazards, such as overhead electric
power lines or buried services that your structures could interfere with? Is it prone
to flooding or high winds? Consider ground conditions and topography when
positioning any temporary structures.
Facilities – how far away are the nearest hospital and fire station? What are the
public transport links like? Consider the infrastructure you need for your event.

 Insurances

1. Event planning liability insurance

Liability insurance protects you financially if you’re sued for personal injury or
property damage. With liability insurance, if a guest or worker gets hurt or
someone’s valuable possessions are damaged at your event, a lawsuit over
these issues won’t drain every cent from your coffers and put you out of
business. A liability insurance policy covers lawyers’ fees and any money
awarded to the plaintiff.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

2. Event planning professional liability insurance

Professional liability insurance protects you financially if you’re sued by clients
who are dissatisfied with your work. This type of insurance is sometimes called
‘errors and omissions insurance’, and in some industries it’s called ‘malpractice
insurance’.

3. Event planning liquor liability insurance

This type of insurance protects you against personal injury and property damage
claims when people have been drinking at an event.

4. Hired and non-owned auto insurance

This type of insurance protects you against lawsuits for personal injury or
property damage when an employee is driving for work. It covers vehicles that
aren’t owned by the business: rental cars, buses, and employees’ personal
vehicles.

 License on liquor

- A liquor license states where and when you can serve alcohol. Different
licenses are available to suit different businesses or community
organizations. Fees and legal obligations for liquor licenses vary,
depending on the type of business and license.

 Apply for business permit and licenses from the city or municipality where
your business is located. (1) brgy. Clearance (2) business permit
 Apply for mayor’s permit
 Sketch for business location
 Fire extinguisher
 After releasing the mayor’s permit, you will receive a business plate.
 Register with the BIR district office where the business is to be located for
authority to print invoice and book of journal.

Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

 Contracts for service

 Payment, Deposit
 Scope of Services
 Amendment
 Termination
 Liability insurance
 Confidentiality

 Security
Uninvited guest can be expected in the event. Security helps keep guests and
staff safe at any event. A good security team will also help reduce the risk of
damage to the venue, keeping those all-important costs down. Security can
prevent such intruders and ensure only your invited guests gain access to your
event.

III- Enumerate marketing strategies

Make your tickets easy to buy

A big part of effective event promotion is meeting your ticket buyers where they
are. That means making it easy for them to buy tickets from whichever
environment they’re already in.
This includes:
Third-party ticketing platforms
If you sell your tickets through a third-party ticketing platform like Billetto, you
should consider keeping all of your events under the same profile. That gives
people a super quick overview of all your upcoming events.
How to promote an event: Event list
There’s an added benefit here. Someone who comes to check out one of your
events might get interested in some of the other ones. Or perhaps they have a
friend who’s interested. Either way, it’s a great way to give some exposure to all
events you’re organizing.

Your own website or blog

If you already have a website, the last thing you want is having people click away
from it to buy tickets or register for your event. They should be able to do that
directly on your site.
Many ticketing providers (including Billetto) offer you a ticket widget that you can
embed on your site; that way, people can buy tickets and register with just a few
clicks...and without ever leaving your online space.
Social media channels
If you’re pasting links to your event on social media, make sure there’s a “Get
tickets” call to action in your post (and preferably on the page you’re linking to).
Quick tip: If you create a Facebook event using your Facebook page (rather
than a personal profile), you’ll be able to paste a direct link to your event page
within a separate “Ticket URL” field, like so:
How to promote an event: Facebook ticket link
That way, people will get a “Find tickets” link on the Facebook event, which
should make buying tickets more straightforward:
How to promote an event: Facebook find tickets
The key takeaway here is: Don’t make people click more than necessary.

IV- Enumerate possible ways to get sponsorship

1. GOALS
The first thing that you need to do is revise your event goals, understand what
you can bring to the table, and identify how your event will provide a unique value
to potential sponsors.
2. DEFINE YOUR SPONSORSHIP CRITERIA
Defining your criteria will help you determine whether or not a company is a good
fit for your event. Not only you’ll be able to save time by avoiding reaching out to
companies that don’t align with your brand, but also you’ll bring value to your
existing audience by introducing them to companies that offer a product or
service they are looking for.
3. BUILD RELATIONSHIP WELL BEFORE YOU ASK FOR SPONSORSHIPS
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

Building relationships with companies before asking for their support will help you
successfully sponsor your event. Going to the same events decision-makers
attend, interacting with them, or attending their events are great alternatives to
start building connections with these companies. Don’t forget that your goal is to
create a relationship that isn’t an “ask” from the get-go.

4. RESEARCH SIMILAR EVENTS AND FIND OUT WHO SPONSOR THEM

Do your homework! Another way of finding sponsorship is to reverse engineer
the process and search for events similar to yours to discover which companies
offered financial support. Since these associations understand the value of event
sponsorship, they very likely will keep investing in this type of marketing.
Likewise, they already know that their target audience aligns with yours, which
makes it easier to approach.
5. LIST OF POTENTIAL SPONSORS.
Based on this information, you should compile a list of potential companies that
might be interested in what you have to offer. Once you have narrowed down
your options, the next step is crafting a tailored sponsorship proposal that aligns
with your sponsor’s needs. Like any other business deal, it needs to be a win-win
situation. When you have that ready, you can start doing the event outreach to
your prospects. Be confident in your approach, you’ll be far more successful if
you’re able to reflect this in your delivery. Getting funding for any type of event
can be an attainable goal, it just requires a well-thought-out event strategy. To
secure success, you need to find companies that align with your values. These
five tips will help you identify your event purpose and goals, know what you want
out of sponsorship, and get clear about the type of companies you’re trying to
attract.
6. FIND ALL RELEVANT INFO ABOUT YOUR POTENTIAL SPONSOR
Getting to know your sponsors better will help you address questions like:
Who is the key decision-maker, is there any initiator, influencer or gatekeeper
you need to be aware of?
What’s in it for them in the sponsorship?
How are you helping them meet their objectives?
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

The more information you have on each company, the better you’ll be at
communicating the event value in your pitch, which is essential to secure
partnerships.

7. DEFINE THE UNIQUE VALUE FOR EACH POTENTIAL SPONSOR

A sponsor will financially support your event if there’s an equal exchange of value
that benefits both parties. Think about what you are offering them in return? VIP
treatment? Subscriptions to a product or service from your company? In any
case, you need to determine the unique incentives that your sponsors will get
from funding your event.
8. PRESENT YOUR CONTINGENCY PLAN
In the case of an emergency or funding falling through, your sponsors might want
to know that they’re safeguarded. To be prepared for all scenarios, draw up a
contract with terms that benefit them if they pull out, but protect you if they do as
well. Keep in mind that if you decide to move forward with no guarantee other
than your word to back up their investment, it’s very unlikely that any company
will commit their money, causing your deal to fall apart.
9. USE DATA IN YOUR EVENT SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL
Companies that sponsor events have their own financial goals, and data is
important in order to predict the success of the investment.
Use this opportunity to show your sponsors your biggest wins. Rail them in with
strong data visuals that outline relevant facts, figures, dollar amounts, and
anything else “shiny” and enticing about your event. Make sure to keep your data
up to date for when you present it in your proposal.
10. REACH OUT TO THE DECISIONS MAKERS AND OTHER KEY
STAKEHOLDERS
When reaching out to companies, don’t “cold pitch” sales associates who can’t
help you and probably won’t pass your information along. Also, don’t randomly
message people at the company in hopes they’ll put you in touch with the right
person.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

11. FOLLOW UP AFTER YOUR PRESENTATION

Once you have pitched your proposal, don’t forget to follow up in a timely
manner. Not having an answer back from decision-makers doesn’t necessarily
mean that they are not interested. They are very busy people, so it’s
understandable if they missed your initial emails and/or social media messages.
Wait for a week or so to follow up at least once more.

V- Discuss how financial aspect will be managed

Financial management is one of the most important responsibilities of owners
and business managers. They must consider the potential consequences of their
management decisions on profits, cash flow and on the financial condition of the
company. The activities of every aspect of a business have an impact on the
company's financial performance and must be evaluated and controlled by the
business owner.
It takes a lot of effort to arrange a festival, from setting goals to getting a crew to
making it all happen. This year, in particular, will necessitate even more planning
and preparation to guarantee that everyone has a fantastic and safe experience
at your festival.
Addressing COVID-19 Public Health & Safety Consideration
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on events all around the world, but with
the licensing and distribution of vaccines, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
As you begin to prepare a festival, you must be aware of what local public health
officials require in terms of health and safety regulations. As you arrange your
event, keep an open line of communication with the relevant health officials and
consider going above and beyond minimal health regulations to protect the safety
of your staff, volunteers, guests, and the general public.

Step 1) Set specific goals for your festival.

Before you begin preparing a festival, it is critical to establish precise goals for
what success looks like for your festival this year. These objectives should serve
as a guidepost, directing you on what steps to take during the planning process
to achieve success. Your objectives should include both broad and specific
objectives.
Example:
1. Provide the most environmentally friendly festival experience possible.
2. Go above and beyond the minimum health and safety regulations.
3. Increase media coverage and social media involvement.
Step 2) Establish your festival's budget.
Now that you know your festival goals well, it's time to allocate a festival budget
to achieve these goals. There are many moving aspects of a festival for which
your planning is necessary to be examined and financed.
Example:
1. Event venue rental fee
2. Catering fee
3. Light and sound system fees
4. Rental of equipment
5. COVID-19 health and safety measures
6. Budget event planning
Step 3) Find a festival location.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

Now that you've set your budget, it's time to start looking for a festival location or
venue. A festival venue can actually tell how participants and performers
perceive the festival, and it is therefore important that you choose a place that is
demographically accessible to the target and that suits the experience that you
want to offer.

Step 4) Arrange the lineup and merchants for your event.

Step 5) Create a marketing strategy for your festival.
It is critical to have a distinct sales proposition in all of your marketing messaging.
Essentially, you should have a marketing hook that distinguishes you from the
competition and inspires consumers to act correctly so they don't lose out.
Here are some marketing platforms to explore for your festival:
1. A social media account, such as YouTube or Facebook, where you can
broadcast the event live.
2. Local media - Reach out to your local press, radio stations, and organizations
to expand your giveaway and paid advertising to these channels.
Step 6) Organize volunteers and on-site personnel for your festival.
There can be no event without a dedicated team of event personnel and
volunteers. It is critical to the success of any event that they can adequately staff
their event, which for many events means enlisting volunteers to get the work
done.
To recruit volunteers for your event, you must develop a volunteer management
plan. To successfully and efficiently develop and execute a successful event
volunteer management plan, consider investing in an event-specific volunteer
management solution.
Step 7) Create a detailed agenda for your festival.
It's time to take a look at the event's schedule, logistics, and all of the details that
go along with it. Keeping your event schedule on track is critical to ensure that
your attendees have a positive experience while also ensuring that your food
vendors and staff can keep up with everything.
Step 8) See how your festival preparations pay off on event day.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus

Nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing all of your festival planning and
preparation pay off. However, there are always last-minute issues that arise in
the lead-up to and on the day of the event. You should also try to plan for those
last-minute situations. you should always have a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and so
on.

VIII- Consider brief information on how possible risks will be managed this
will be important because risk like power breakdown shall not be a
hindrance of the event. Ways on how to address issues shall be clear to the
client.

As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, we've all had to evolve and adapt as an
industry, overcoming several unanticipated hurdles and obstacles. The events of
2020 are arguably the most compelling indication that no matter how well-
planned an event is; it will always be subject to unforeseen circumstances.
As an event creator, you must be aware of these potential pitfalls and event
planning mistakes, and make a contingency plan that puts you in the best
position to turn things around quickly.

1. The problem: participant drop-outs

It may be stressful when your carefully planned event program doesn't work out,
whether it's because your keynote speaker had to cancel or because one of your
major performers tested positive for COVID-19 and is unable to attend. So, how
do you get started with damage control?
The solution: have a back-up in mind
The first step is to give your participant as much notice as possible that they will
be unable to attend. This will give you time to implement your backup plan. It's a
good idea to include a condition in your contract requiring participants to give a
24-hour notice of cancellations, so they can let you know if they're unsure about
going. You may also request check-ins for trip plans and updates to ensure that
they arrive on schedule.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

Your next step is to liaise with an entertainment agency to make sure you know
of someone relevant who also has availability on the day. That way, you have
someone you can quickly reach out to if needed.

2. The problem: no one shows up

A low turnout on the day of your event may be devastating to your confidence,
especially after all of your hard work. No-shows are a regular occurrence at
online or free events with a low admission barrier. People may forget or be
unmotivated to go since they haven't had to make any type of financial
investment. When it comes to ticket sales, it's reasonable to estimate a 20%
dropout rate because a certain percentage of individuals will always be unable to
attend. But how can you avoid a completely quiet Zoom call (or a completely
empty room)?
The solution: clear communication
Sending out reminder emails the week, day, and hour before your event is set to
take place is a fantastic idea for smaller events when every participant matters.
You may avoid dropout by reminding participants of all the key facts this way. It
also allows them to notify you if they are unable to come, giving you the
opportunity to sell additional tickets or review your backup guest list. If you want
to promote attendance, you might charge a small price for tickets and donate the
earnings to charity.

3. The problem: technology failure

Issues with technology in event management happen to the best of us. Your
keynote speakers’ internet goes down in the middle of their speech. Attendees
may be having difficulties logging onto the platform you've selected for your
virtual event, or they may be unable to use the interactive elements you've set
up. A broken microphone at an in-person event may send even the most
seasoned event planner into a tailspin. So, how can you stay away from these
typical technical issues?
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

4. The solution: test, test, and test again

The less you rely on luck, the better. If possible, employ an AV specialist to
ensure that all essential equipment is in working order prior to the big day. You
may also try everything out for yourself to ensure that both you and your
speakers are as comfortable as possible with all of the software in use. A broken
microphone at an in-person event may send even the most seasoned event
planner into a tailspin. So, how can you stay away from these typical technical
issues? Is the room dark enough for a clean projection? Is it possible to hear
mics from the back of the room? Testing repeatedly will assist you in identifying
and removing those perplexing technical issues.

The problem: unexpected weather

In the Philippines, the weather may be fickle at times. Rainy weather may put a
(literal) damper on your day if you're hosting an outdoor event.
The solution: prepare for the worst
While it's great to wish for beautiful skies and sunlight, you should also be
prepared in the event that the reverse occurs. Make sure you have a backup
indoor venue, whether it's a neighboring village hall or a marquee.
If this isn't an option for you or you believe your event should be held outside,
consider weather-resistant furniture and decorations, providing disposable macs
and umbrellas for people to borrow, and ensuring sure anything that may blow
away, such as flyers or tickets, is secured. A small amount of thinking may go a
long way.

5. The problem: long queues

Long lines might give the wrong impression about your event before it even
begins. So, how can you keep things running well at your event while adhering to
any necessary social distancing measures?
The solution: keep track of ticket sales
If you know how many people will attend your event, you'll be in the greatest
position to avoid lines and excessive waits. Keep track of ticket sales via
Eventbrite to minimize long lines at the door, and make sure there are adequate
restrooms and food vendors for the amount of people expected.
Republic of the Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University
Siniloan (Host) Campus
Siniloan, Laguna

Implement measures like barriers, floor markers, and people on hand to regulate
lineups to help maintain social distance safe.
Preparation is key
When it comes to event planning gone awry, inadequate preparation is generally
at the base of the problem. As a result, utilizing the above list of event planning
challenges and solutions, it is critical to plan for every possibility. Remember: you
can't plan for everything, but having a backup plan can make you feel more
relaxed, prepared, and ready to face whatever your event day throws at you.

How to Triage Your Events

Crises happen quickly and without warning. These steps will often happen
simultaneously.
-Understand what is happening externally and internally. Follow governmental
regulations, internal guidelines, and monitor the situation constantly.
-Get your team in place. This doesn’t just mean the planning team, but an
internal sprint team that will help make decisions.
-Pull a list from your event management platform of every upcoming meeting and
event and break down each event in the system by event type, month, size,
spend, and region
-Create a risk assessment document to rate events on a variety of conditions
such as attendee impact, business impact, and internal impact.
-Go through your event list with relevant stakeholders and make a decision about
each event. Small events may be easy to shift to virtual. Large events may
require more a more strategic approach that uses technology, different
communication plans, an altered agenda, and a modified budget.
-Stay agile. An ongoing crisis requires creativity and flexibility. Keep your team
engaged and working toward providing the best events for attendees.

X- Discuss promotional plan

PROMOTIONAL PLAN
Festivals are a terrific way to celebrate and entertain a huge number of people.
Therefore, they will be successful if they are well-publicized. There are various
ways to promote festivals, but the most important way is to focus on the most
crucial way, whether it is online or offline. The event checklist is a list of things
that need to be done in accordance with the marketing plan, budget plan,
promotional plan, and plan for contacting sponsors and VIPs. Planning a festival
takes months, and the event checklist is a list of things that need to be done in
accordance. When the checklist is completed and completed well, it is necessary
to think realistically about the plan and the budget.
SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM ACTIVATION
Nowadays, social media is a significant marketing tool for promoting and
advertising any product. In this situation, it may be utilized to advertise an event.
Social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Pin It, YouTube,
and a blog, can be highly beneficial in generating quick interest in a festival. The
excitement and curiosity generated by sharing information and the flow of the
program regarding the performance of the festival's guests and VIPs can be
contagious. Posting about the VIP and artist guests during the execution might
help to motivate and attract people to the festival. Live-streaming the execution
and sharing festival images.

ENGAGE WITH SPONSORS

Engage with sponsors and their businesses, promoting each side in a way that
is mutually beneficial. During the festival's execution, they will display their logos,
commercial videos, and other promotional materials. People are educated about
the sponsors' products or services using this strategy. In exchange, the sponsors
and their businesses promote the event through their employees by displaying
the festival logo, promotional film or soundtrack, and festival description in and
around their businesses.

XIII-Never forget the safety and security of all concerned individuals

The safety and security of all concerned individuals are important in every event.
And the Madayaw Festival 2021 prioritize the safety and well-being of all
participants involved in this event from the performers and every member of the
staff. The Madayaw Festival 2021 coordinators are dedicated to keeping
everyone safe and we can achieve this with a fun and friendly approached, and
ensuring that everyone can enjoy the event. And we would conduct a several
procedures before and during the Festival event from risk assessments to crowd
management and with the pre-cautions to the COVID-19 pandemic with a clear
communication to every individual involved.

The things that we have to consider are the following:

 Be Knowledgeable of the venue
 Identify all venue entry points and make sure all personnel is aware of
them.
 establish boundaries where the event perimeter begins and ends.
Temporary fencing and barricades can help.

 Crowd Control
 It is important that you ensure that the crowd in the venue never grows
beyond the capacity limit.
 Monitor the registration line to keep it organized and prevent people from
cutting. (Using cones, yellow tape, or stanchions is a great help here.)

 Keeping the Communications Tight

 The staff needs to stay in constant communication. Be sure each staff
member has a walkie-talkie.
 Determine the possibility of large-scale assaults.
 Publicize ahead of your event that all personal bags will be inspected to
ensure guest safety.
 Include a list of contraband items that will not be allowed in the venue.
This includes all weapons and certain chemical materials.

 Security for VIP`s

Protection preparations for VIPs are not the same as security services for
the general public. VIP security is unique in that the bodyguards are solely
responsible for the safety of the dignitaries against criminal organizations
such as terrorists and robbers, as well as overzealous admirers attempting
to approach them, further invading their private.

Protection preparations for VIPs are not the same as security services for
the general public. VIP security is unique in that the bodyguards are solely
responsible for the safety of the dignitaries against criminal organizations

thorough security strategy to ensure their timely and seamless arrivals, as
well as their safety in your event's atmosphere and location.

 Carry Out a Threat and Risk Assessment

 Restrict Unwanted Access of People
 Plan Discreet Transportation
 Hire VIP Protection Services

 Physical Barrier Design and Construction

MADAYAW FESTIVAL offers a range of physical barriers that ensure
maximum flexibility and. These include fencing, road barriers, arm
barriers, rising curbs, bollards, autonomous gates, and turnstiles. We
design the most appropriate solution based on the security threat and
operational conditions and manage the installation, cabling, training, and
operation of each system.
 Access and Exit
It's important to think about how your audience will enter and depart the
Festival venue. Temporary traffic signs or event marshals may be required
to direct traffic to the right area. When traffic arrives at your site, parking
must be carefully planned to accommodate both private automobiles and
coaches, as well as the vehicles of artists and employees. This may be
feasible individually or may require expert support, depending on the
magnitude of the Festival event at hand.

NARRATIVE REPORT:

APOLINAR, NICOLE L. BSHM-3A

My narration of my learning experiences in the subject MICE Meetings,

Incentives, Conferences and Event Management is challenging but a great
experience, because it helps us to understand more about the application of
event management to the creation and development of small and large scale of
events like Festivals. And it also thought me that planning an event is not that
easy that we could pin point every detail so easily. In every event we should
study the concept of the event that we are planning to pursue and identify the
target audiences of the event and coordinate with the possible sponsors of you
event before we could event start the operational plan of an event. And
considering that we are not on a face-to-face learning, it is hard for us student to
understand every detail that we encounter in this subject. But we still try our best
to understand the subject and do a good job in every presentation that we
perform.

And we could not possibly have done this without the help of Mr. Antonio G.
Niegas Jr. our professor/Instructor in this subject, and he has help and teach us a
lot just to make sure we understand every lesson and activity. Mr. Niegas Jr.
share not only his knowledge in event management but also his dedication to
give us a good education even in a situation like this. He is persistent on giving
us his student a great experience of what reality in our chosen field or industry
would look like and how to handle them properly with professionalism. And we
are thankful that we could experiences this event management and have more
knowledge about it.

MARK JUDE J. BASAS BSHM 3-A

My learning experience in this subject MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions,

Exhibitions.), in this is on how to be a professional event organizer. It is very hard
to start plan and manage an event. Everything here should be included and
detailed everything can't be missing because an event can be ruined when
something is missing in event management (Budgeting, Marketing, Planning,
Target, Security, Meetings, Logistics, Catering.) even one of these should cannot
be lost, Because when one of them is missing, It will comes into breakdown of
the event. I learned a lot of experience especially in final proposal defense.
Because we forgot to put prizes at the festival event we can’t remembered to
include the prizes in our proposal, So this is the reason why our event proposal
was boring and we can't defend it. During the defense I thought that should really
be well planed, and organize no can missing out. Over all I learned the unity and
team work of the group because of our situation not face to face classes we need
to participate all because everyone is struggling with our situation.

In my professor Sir. Anton G. Niegas I would like to thanks for you for lot of
ideas, knowledge that you will share during in our meetings. I thank you for being
such an amazing teacher and for all your great lessons. We experience a lot of
pressure especially during the time by passing the revise proposal and what you
want to happen at the event we will do you even its to hard because of the
pandemic situation right now but it also good to us. Because this is your way for
us to better understand and learn what you teach. Because of this we have a lot
of lesson that I learned it. And you will gave me the tools I need to face my
future.

JOHN RONALD R. CADAPAN BSHM-3A

My learning experience in the subject of Meetings, incentives, conferences in

Event Management. I really learned a lot in this subject even in online. It was
hard to study all by yourself. We have to understand modules and activities
without the guide of our professor. Although we have our meetings in google
meet but it gives really a big difference in face to face learning. Having problem
with the connection, don't have money to have data, insufficient information
about the activities, not enough space for the storage of your phone and etc. But
it doesn't mean we need to blame our teachers for not giving us enough
information, we already are knowledgeable enough with all by ourselves. We are
not kids anymore to spoon feed with our teachers. Submitting the modules on
time are really an important matter in my study. I give an specific time in my
modules everyday. Helping in the house in the morning, going outside in the
afternoon then modules for the night everyday. So it was not hard to rush my
modules waiting for the deadline. In this subject, it was very difficult because it is
more on operational but we need to understand our situation nowadays.
Having a teacher like sir Anton G. Ñiegas is really scary but exciting because you
can learn a lot from that fear. Sir anton is really an strict professor when it comes
in the personality of his students. Also, he don't really like students who is stagy.
If you have this kind of stagy attitude he will show you to overcome this kind of
attitude with his knowledgeable words and attention. But if you show him a good
attitude like being interested with his subject everything will be just fine. He will
teach you to be ready in the future Hospitality Industry. Also, he don't want things
like modules and projects simple, he want the outcome to be special and the
students really gives time to the activity. He wants to see the quality and
accurateness of your work to be able to achieve his satisfaction. It was hard, but
it really gives us a really good opportunity to improve ourselves and learn a lot of
things for the future. He maybe a really strict teacher but all he want for us is to
improve and to learn a lot of knowledge to be able for us to dive in the industry.

GEORGE MICHAEL CAHANAP BSHM- 3A

My learning experience in this subject MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions,

Exhibitions.), it’s difficult and challenging we need to use think wisely for every
step we do. It help us to manage the situation, how to solution every problem,
how to think positive and also how to manage an event. Also it helps us to think
professionally to manage the event. It is quite difficult to begin planning and
managing an event. Everything should be detailed and perfect. The plan should
be perfectly execute. But, as we all know, many things may go wrong
unexpectedly, therefore I learnt in this topic that we should not cling to just one
plan; instead, we should develop several plans, such as plan B, plan C, plan D,
and so on. I learned a lot of knowledge in this subject also the most important is
how to manage our time, because we all now have experiencing COVID 19
pandemic it’s hard to adjust but we should do for our future. It’s difficult to study
because were not face to face class we use social media to communicate such
as Facebook, Google classroom, Google meet and etc. also it costly to people
like me that don’t have Wi-Fi we use load to register weekly. We’re trying our
best to do all things for every subject to comply all activates. We thank to our
instructor by giving us enough time to comply and helping, guiding and effort to
teach us.
During the create of our event proposal I learned a lot of things. How to
manage our time, to build friendship, unity and teamwork. My group mates help
each other give effort to all assign task to do properly. And the time of our
defense we thought it goes smoothly but we forgot the budget to make it detailed.
So I said to myself that i have not enough knowledge we should study more and
more. But thanks to God that we succeed to pass the defense with major revision
also to our professor Sir Anton G. Niegas I am very thankful because in the first
place were not here if he not teach us, guide us, help us and push not to give up.
Also for sharing us his knowledge and effort to teach us to succeed even like in
this situation. I am thankful to experience this event I learned a lot that I can use
in future. I will remember all this and use this inspiration to not give up even we
failed; we need to fight, to stand and move forward to build a better future.

PRINCE CJ S. CARPIO BSHM-3A

This subject was so memorable that despite all of the related subjects that I had
already taken, it was the most beneficial to study/learn. It can help you
understand what strategy, skills, thinking, and tactics you need to handle an
event, and I am grateful that this subject provided me with a head start on how to
make an event plan successful. It also gave me a head start on how to secure
solid sponsorship and find a good organizer for the event you want to be a huge
success. Having a competent professor in this subject was beneficial since he
can explain all of the intricacies you need to know in order to complete the task
correctly and will provide you with clear instructions.
He also does not want any of you to go without learning or unfinished work; he
always wants all of the tasks he assigns and discusses with you to be completed
well and approved. Since the day we started working on the plan and proposal,
I've had the foresight that it may be simple to complete with the support of good,
clear directions and teamwork.
Everything went okay with a few tweaks, but we got it done and fixed it by
assigning tasks to one another to save as a team contribution and performance.
In addition, I've been allocated to be a multi-task member in this event plan and
proposal so that I can understand how to handle different aspects of the event
and what flow we might experience by the assigned position.
It can be difficult to do right immediately, but with patience and a step-by-step
procedure, it can be done. All I can say is "Thank You" for being a part of this
wonderful event planning and proposal since I have gained new knowledge that I
can apply to my career and achieve my goals in the future. Nothing is difficult for
a team or individual that has a vision and believes in their own abilities.

My learning experienced in this subject Meeting, Incentives, Conventions and

Exhibits, this is a guide on how to become a professional event planner and I learned the
importance of showing the details of an event, one of the most important lessons I
learned from this experience is the significance of teamwork. Working as a team is
highly useful, and we developed this event by aiding one another, contributing various
ideas, exchanging our knowledge, being patient, and, of course, showcasing our own
strengths. This event is a very memorable experience for me, this will not be successful
without the help of my team. I must say teamwork is a key to success. I know that by
participating in the activities we did in this class. I improved my knowledge and skills in
terms of handling a large event like this. I realize that the venue is responsible for
displaying all necessary information about an event, including the tiniest details.
Moreover, even though we are using online learning, I did not feel a great deal of
pressure dealing with this type of event, but I am grateful to have had the opportunity to
learn how to deal with such a circumstance since I know I will be able to apply it in my
future work. Despite all of the comparable subjects I had already taken, this subject was
so memorable. It was the most advantageous time to study. It can assist you figure out
what kind of strategy, expertise, thinking, and tactics you'll need to deal with a given
situation.

I am grateful to our professor, Mr. Antonio G. Niegas Jr., for guiding us through
each online meeting and assisting us in developing our knowledge and skills. Despite
the fact that we were under a lot of stress, I understand that you are simply teaching us
how to work under pressure because it is the nature of our industry. I'm also grateful to
our panel for devoting his time to ensuring the success of our last defense. I am
extremely impressed by his respectful and informed manner of speaking, it reflects how
meticulous our business is, and as a rising student, I see that I need to study more and
comprehend all of the subtleties when it comes to event planning.

AGAPAY, MARIZ D. BSHM 3A

What I experienced on this subject was challenging, because we experienced a

lot of rejection in what we were doing, just like when I voiced over our video. I
had a hard time because I couldn`t get the tone and energy I needed because of
my resonant voice but I soon finished and it was a success to put my voice in the
video which I enjoyed because of the good outcome of our work. happy, nervous
and mixed we experienced because in the first preparation alone there were too
many events that could not be avoided. We saw the actions of each other on the
day of the trial we all group 1 was full of nervous and hope that we would have
passed the report and the panel was asking even though we knew what to
answer I was defeated by my nervousness and fear at that time. When our
reporting was over because our leader and only two members were only
answering and then when we reported and saw the faces of my members and
our leader, I thought that our leader and member were too tired for the project
there, but all that was erased when the panel finally suggested the result of our
proposal. and we lived because the panel appreciated us that even though we
can`t answered correctly, he understood us based on what we showed him. I
would like to thank our teacher sir Anton Niegas for teaching and reminding us of
what we must do, as well as our panel sir christian benel who judged and gave
us hope to pass and know our shortcomings in our proposal and to the lord who
has not forsaken us from thank you very much. To our fellow students who have
persevered for our dreams.

CARLOS, ELLAINE G. BSHM-3A

What I have learned from the subject Meetings, Incentives Conferences and
Event management is when planning an event, you should know and check
every little detail to prevent conflicts and disapproval when proposing the event
proposal. Planning plays an important role in the reduction of future uncertainty
of an event. It is matter of fact that future is uncertain and risk-oriented. What will
occur tomorrow we cannot say with certainty but we can forecast about future
events through planning. When working as a team, there must be a clear
communication and commitment in organizing an event. Also, teamwork is
important in an organization because it provides employees with an opportunity
to bond with one another, which improves relations among them. Teamwork also
increases the accountability of every member of the team, especially when
working under people who command a lot of respect within the business.

When organizing an event, you must know the complex of it. You must have a
contingency plan and fund if your plan a did not work out. It was quite hard for us
preparing for the event because of the pandemic. Not everyone can attend the
meet ups and not everyone can reply as soon as possible because we also have
different priorities at home. We had sleepless nights while planning the event.
For me it was hard planning the line-up activities and the menu. We also did a lot
of revision on planning the event but it helped us think more critically. Mr. Niegas
as a professor made sure to guide us while preparing for the big event. We
wouldn’t accomplish this event without his help and also with our team leader.
We put a lot of effort on planning the event and gladly the panelist did not decline
our proposal because it has a lot lacking. We are thankful that although we had a
lot of revisions, we still reached the passing grade.
