202201

1. Continuous Assessment (50%)

a) Test – 20%
Tests will be given to monitor student’s progress on the understanding of the lectures. The duration
of the test will be ONE AND HALF (1½) hours and the physical test will be scheduled at WEEK
6 (28/02/2021). The test will consist of TWO (2) structural questions which cover CLO 1 and 2.

There will be NO make-up exams without a valid and verifiable reason. Students must give reason
for absenteeism and are required to submit valid evidence (e.g. medical certificate, police report
and etc.) before any make-up examination will be considered.

b) Group Assignments – 30%

Students will be assigned in a group on a basis of 5-6 members in a group. The group members
must from the same tutorial group. The assignment will be released in WEEK 7. Details will be
explained by the tutor. The submission of assignment shall be submitted directly to the link set in
WBLE. For each late submission, the examiner has the right to deduct 5 marks of each assignment.
The assessments are listed as below:

No Details Marks
1 Question 1: CLO3 25 marks
2 Question 2: CLO4 25 marks
Total 50 marks

Kindly use the standard cover page for each assignment submission. The sample standard cover
page will be attached later together with the assignment release. Student are required to follow the
instruction(s) given. Failure to follow will result in non-acceptance of submission.

2. Final Exam (50%)

The final exam for this subject will be subject to the latest instruction by the university. It will
consist of TWO (2) CLOs’. The questions shall cover CLO3 and CLO5.

15. Remark: ACADEMIC REGULATIONS

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as the submission or presentation of work, in any form, which is not one's
own, without acknowledgment of the sources. If a student obtains information or ideas from an
outside source, that source must be acknowledged. Another rule to follow is that any direct
quotation must be placed in quotation marks and the source immediately cited.

Plagiarism is also defined as copy of all or part of the work of another student(s) of current or
previous batch of this University or another higher learning institution.

The University's degree and other academic awards are given in recognition of the candidate's
personal achievement. Plagiarism is therefore considered as an act of academic fraudulence and as
an offence against University discipline.

Intellectual Property
Copyright must be seriously protected. The University takes a strong stand against any illegal
photocopying of textbooks and any other materials by students. Students are forewarned of the
consequences and the penalty that may be meted out if they are "caught in the act".
