No amount will be used in the Project.

II. Rationale of the Project (brief description of the situation):

Since 2021, SIDC became one of the adopted organization of BATSTATEU- CABEIHM department. And in
line with its goal to spread excellence and serve the community, the department provides different trainings and
seminars to different organization especially to its adopted community. The department and its pool of experts
wants to ensure that they are making an impact on the lives of these individuals.

One of the visions of the said project is to uplift the quality of life of Filipino families through sustainable
income and to create business opportunities, for them to have optimum productivity, viability, and sustainability,
thus, enabling them to contribute to poverty alleviation and rural community development.  

In 2018, the Department of Trade and Industry asked for the participation of faculty members from Batangas

State University to be their speakers for their activity. In response to their request the CABEIHM department
asked for the topics that will be discussed and sent faculty members that can cater to the needs of the activity.
Such activities are deemed important to ensure the continuity of the operations of their business activity and
promotion of their products and services in the area. 

The learning and development department of SIDC brought up different issues like high attrition and employee
turnover which they want to mitigate or totally eliminate. And with that, they asked for a focus group discussion
with the representatives of the CABEIHM department to addressed their needs and create a solution to their
current problems at hand. And with that, the extension activity titled “Project ARETE” was created which means
excellence in Latin. Several activities related to the improvement of the HRM practices of SIDC are the main
areas that needs improvement. And for that reason, the department with its pool of experts prepared the
necessary programs to instil into the minds of the employees the importance and value system that they need to
have while at work.

III. Objectives (General and Specific):

General Objective:

10. To respond to the needs of the partner agency as expressed in the communication letter addressed to the College
Dean;
11. To identify new ways of motivating and improving the mindset at the times of pandemic;
12. Identify problems which leads to employee turnover.

Specific Objectives:

1.    To orient and inform the members of the association of the opportunities that they might face;

2.    To educate the members about the abundant resources in their area and how to utilize it;

3.    To help the members conceptualize a merit system for their association; and

4.    To continuously guide the association to ensure the sustainability of their business.

The project is aimed to mitigate the HRM issues of SIDC. BATSTATEU together with the administration
of SIDC agreed to provide support and assistance in order to ensure that all the necessary requirements and
raised issues will be properly addressed to ensure the continuity of the project.

15. The CABEIHM faculty members and students shall spearhead the conduct of the said training

17. The CABEIHM department shall provide faculty extensionists who will assist the program in implementing the
project.
18. BatStateU ACGSS and other student organizations of the department will serve as the technical arm of the project
implementers

19. SIDCC will provide the venue as well as the certificate of the seminar/ training.
I. Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanics / Plan:

Participants in this webinar will be asked to participate actively in the online discussions and open forum.
Likewise, they will be required to answer the evaluation forms to receive their certificate of participation. The
result of the evaluation will be given to the speakers, facilitators, and project leaders to ensure that areas for
improvement will be considered if there will be another extension program like this.

II. Plans for Ensuring the Sustainability of the Project:

After the presentation, the speakers will be asked to provide their contact details so that they can be consulted or
reached if ever some of the participants would like to seek professional advice or consultation with regard to
educational management and instructional supervision.
