Mid-Term Project – Strategic Plan Formulation

Deadline of submission – 12th Feb, 2022 (Submit PDF file in the HUB)
Consider a company (real or hypothetical) and create a strategic plan with following
components.
A. Introduction of the company and its business
B. Mission, Vision and Values
C. Strategic Intent
D. Business Objectives and/ or Goals
E. Strategic Analysis
D.1. External Environmental Analysis (include all the aspects)
D.2. SWOT Analysis
Use various tools and frameworks for strategic analysis
F. Business Strategy
E.1. Strategic Positioning (and sources of competitive advantages)
E.2. Strategic Fit
E.3. Strategic Tradeoff
E.4. Core business strategy (use the frameworks you know)
+ Broad description about the business strategy (explain in detail)
G. Strategic Initiatives to be taken in coming 2 years.
Evaluation Criteria:
1. Structure and Standard:

Clarity; Logical Flow; Coherence of the structure as given; Sentence and Paragraph
composition – a standard that is appropriate to the postgraduate level of study.
2. Coverage:

Demonstration of good knowledge and understanding of the principle areas, features,


boundaries, terminologies, theories, concepts and principles of the topic
Consideration and use of various aspects, variables, tools/ techniques, frameworks and
models. (for eg. what kind of tools/ techniques and frameworks will you use in external
environmental analysis and how many aspects of external environment will you consider ?
eg. consumer, competitor etc.)
