Job Title:
Lab Administrator

Division:
Material Testing / Central Lab

I- Function:
- To Keep official records and executes administrative works and policies determined by management or in
conjunction with other responsible persons.
- To ensure smooth communication between the customers and/or employees of the Lab.
- To assist the Lab manager in the monitoring and implementation of the Quality System of the company.
- To ensure that the administration of personnel and equipment are in line with company procedures.
II- Reporting:
- To the Laboratory Manager
- To the Country Manager
III- Supervising:
- Drivers
- Office Boys
IV- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives new items/equipment; logging and tagging/update inventory.
- Yearly reconciliation with accounting Division.
- Follows up transfer/damaged equipment and reports them to the heads of divisions/ Lab Manager.
- Assures the maintenance schedule of equipment (in coordination with the heads of divisions/ Lab
manager).
- Assures the tagging of all equipment (serial number and calibration).
- Conducts fortnight backup for the central lab, Head office and site labs.
- Assures the safety of server folders in coordination with the QM.
- Reports and checks up on the saving of reports; serial numbers and data entries
- Checks the filing of RPS; Incomings; Outgoings
- Checks and assures the daily check on balances; curing tank temperature and humidity; location of
cylinders in the curing tank; log book tagging of received samples; log books for deliveries (Reports, and
invoices, etc.); log book of interoffice deliveries.
- Conducts weekly audits in the Central and site labs as scheduled by the QM and Lab manager.
- Organizes the overall tidiness and cleanness of the company’s premises (Assures the implementation of
the cleaning schedule, follow up the inventory of Stationary, drinking water and detergents)
- Assures the implementation of safety in the company premises with coordination with Lab Manager.
- Assures the general physical appearance of the staffs (Wearing formal dresses)
- Conducts Internal ISO audits in coordination with Quality Manager.
- Fills NCR for any nonconformity concerning the above and submit to the QM. The LA role is to inform the
concerned party about the non-conformity and not necessarily to solve it.
- Maintains, monitors, and directs stationary in the central lab.
- Takes and transcribes dictation, and composes and prepares all correspondence.
- Creates and maintains database and spreadsheet files.
- Follows up maintenance contracts and coordinates maintenance visits related to office tools and
equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.

With all staff and employees in the labs and with representatives from the company customers and all companies
and firms associated with provision of goods or services to the company, as directed by the Lab Manager and

VI- Qualification
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science with one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: (Arabic, English)


Arabic: Read, Spoken and Written
English: Read, Spoken and Written

Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, policies and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Computer Skills :
Internet software, E-mail, MS office, Inventory and database software.

VII- Work Environment:


While performing his/her duties the Lab Administrator might be exposed to environmental and physical hazards
such as: long sitting periods, long computer interaction periods, loud noise and airborne particles.
