I-Function:
- To ensure that the IT systems in the company are functioning smoothly and efficiently.
- To assist the IT Officer as needed in providing services to the employees and system management.

II- Reporting:
- To the IT Officer
- To the Senior IT Officer
- To the Country Manager

III- Supervising:

IV- Duties and Responsibilities:


- Provides assistance in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe
technology.
- Sets up and configures desktop and Laptop computers, peripherals and accounts assigning security level.
- Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals.
- Tests programs as instructed by the IT officer.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines
and/or escalates to the IT Officer as appropriate.
- Maintains systems, databases and web pages.
- Administers user accounts.
- Designs and produces basic reports.
- Sets up and submits production jobs and edits and debugs computer output.
- Transfers computer files between platforms.
- Provides basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment (e.g. microcomputers, disk
drives, and laser printers) and may assist with testing personal computers and peripherals on a network to
diagnose, hardware versus software problems.
- Maintains the IT department records;
- Follows up the policies and the procedures of the IT department.
- Provides daily support for computer network users.
- Assists in formatting computers and replacing parts as required.
- Assists with network and security management
- Assists with data storage architecture
- Provides user level technical support for end users, computers, printers, etc.
- Assists with end user system updates and monitoring. (Including: Patch management, spyware removal and
testing, virus checking, ensuring backup of data files, etc…).
- Assists with user management. (Adding and deleting users from AD, working with emails, etc.)
- Monitors printers, copiers, and fax machines to make sure they are working properly and getting regular
maintenance.
- Manages shared resources (disks, printers) and assign rights to users.
- Analyzes and registers problems faced by users on different hardware and software platforms.
- Manages users workstations, start up and shutdown schedules, regular backups, restorations, deals with crisis.
- Participates in the implementation of any new software purchased or upgraded (LIMS, Microsoft Dynamics
NAV, HRMS, ESS, CPS, Etc…)
- Gives support to users on peripherals, printer configuration/management, disk space optimization.
- Manages peripherals, like printers, scanners, cameras, etc.
- Keeps the inventory of the IT assets.
- Other duties as assigned.

With representatives from the Internal Audit Department / External Auditors and all companies associated with
provision of goods or services to the company.
With all staff in all departments of the company.

VI- Qualification:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in an IT related field with at least 1 year experience in a similar
position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability : (Arabic, English)


Arabic: Read, Spoken and Written
English: Read, Spoken and Written

Skills:
- Ability to assist and provide technical support to others.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving environment.
- Willingness to work with many different people.
- Ability to be courteous and helpful.
- Ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing.

Computer Skills:
Internet software, E-mail, MS office, Inventory, database and software.

VII- Work Environment:


While performing his/her duties the IT Assistant might be exposed to environmental and physical hazards such as:
long sitting periods, long computer interaction periods, wet and/or humid conditions, precarious equipment and
working areas, fumes, miscellaneous weather conditions, loud noise and airborne particles.
