INTRODUCTION

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to prepare senior engineering and architecture students in professional
communications and presentations.

Exercises and lectures shall include activities and topics on written, oral and public communications, web-
based information presentation, professional interpersonal communications, visual and multimedia
presentations, research skills, and corporate/business communications.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)


At the end of this course, the students shall be able to:

CLO 1: Discuss the basics of communication and technical communication.

CLO 2: Apply the concepts of written communication.

CLO 3: Apply the concepts of oral communication.

CLO 4: Write and present an individual research proposal aligned with institutional research programs.

CLO 5: Write and present a multidisciplinary research proposal aligned with institutional research programs.

CLO 6: Qualify in the simulated job interview.

CLO 7: Write memorandums, advertisements, letters, minutes of the meeting and reports both activity and
technical.

RAW MIDTERM SCORE: 50%(CLASS STANDING) + 50%(MIDTERM EXAM SCORE)

RAW FINAL SCORE (RFS): 50%(CLASS STANDING) + 50%(FINAL EXAM SCORE)

FINAL SCORE (RFS): 50%(MIDTERM SCORE) + 50%(RAW FINAL SCORE)

NOTE: Scores are transmuted to an equivalent grade where a score of at least 60% would be the minimum
passing grade of 75.
