Brand Letterhead and Envelope


Template Instructions for PC users

Each template is composed of two elements within the header section: a brand logo graphic
(picture element) and an address. These instructions apply to both stationery templates.

Insert Department Logo Graphic (letterhead and envelope)
1. Go to to the Insert tab. Within the tab, in the Header & Footer section, click Header then
select Edit Header below the options. The doc’s header section will become editable.
2. Select the placeholder logo and delete it.
3. Keep cell active and locate your department logo using Insert/Pictures option.
4. Select your department logo graphic (see note below) in the png format.


NOTE: this template will accept one of two signature styles (see examples below)
• Option 1 – Bxd_Blk with bold primary name (one line)
• Option 2 – Bxd_Blk with bold primary name above light secondary name (two lines)

5. The graphic should be resized within the Picture Tools/Format/Size section.
6. In the Size section, click the tiny arrow symbol in the lower right corner to open the
Advanced Layout controls.



7. To resize the graphic proportionately, in the size tab, make sure Absolute height and
width circles are selected AND Lock aspect ratio and Relative to original picture size are
checked. Click OK.
8. Back in the size section, reduce the height to 0.8 inches.


Address (letterhead and envelope)
With the header option still open:
1. Carefully select just the placeholder text.
2. Replace it with your department address.
3. Content is limited to a maximum of 4 lines.

The address typeface uses Helvetica regular, however Arial regular is the acceptable alternate.

Final Steps (letterhead only)
To close the header:
• Go to the Header & Footer Tools/Design section.
• Click the white ‘X’ in the red box above Close Header and Footer text
• Replace placeholder text in the body of the letter.
