referred to as IMRD (Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion) applicable to research papers in
general and meets national and international publication standards. Researchers are allowed to
discuss with the OVPAA (Research & Publications) deviations from the format depending on
the nature of their research projects.

The research paper shall consist of the following parts:

study is related to the current research work in the field and identifies the specific
gaps that still exist and its contributions to the body of knowledge and target
beneficiaries through integrated review of literature and conceptual framework.
The introduction ends with the statement of the problem.

5. Method: This part includes the detailed inquiry mechanism which describes the
research design, sampling plan, instrumentation, sources and collection of
data, data management, and data analysis strategies. The research design should be
appropriate in obtaining data to answer the research problems. Validity and reliability
(for quantitative instruments) and credibility (for qualitative) are substantiated by
relevant literature.

6. Results: This part summarizes the data collected through tables and figures.

7. Discussion: This section explains the meanings and implications of the result.
It covers review of major findings of the study and how the research questions
were answered. This section articulates how the results and interpretations agree or
disagree with current knowledge on the field.

8. Conclusion: This part is a statement of well-articulated outcomes of the study. It

briefly suggests future lines of research in the field based on the findings.

9. References: This section documents the articles used in the study. It also provides the
