1. It is a law for our environment and also called regulation, policies, also in the local
like ordinance and also in the national law. To make it for protection of our economic,
people and teach human health.

2. As a criminology student and law enforcer someday. It is important to study this topic
because someday we can implement it and it depends the protection of all people.

3. Component Environmental laws and its importance.

1. Waste management- this can help to build or upgrade waste management system
to make sure that waste is not polluting groundwater or causing the spread of disease.
2. Food Production- regulations will concern everything from how seed is harvested
and prepared to what types of fertilizer and pesticides are used to nurture the crops to
maturity.
3. Water Reserves- environmental law advocates will also look towards creating
reserves of water that can be adequately protected from contamination.
4. Pollution Control and Remediation- environmental law is concerned with the
control of pollution on the one hand and the conservation of natural resources on the
other hand.
5. Flora and Fauna- environmental law may be enacted to protect the biodiversity or
as a special means for protecting species deemed important for other reasons.
6. Mining- Environmental law also studies the impact of mining of natural resources
from beneath the ground. The extraction of these minerals from the ground causes
pollution in the air and water as chemicals come in contract with the environment.
7. Emissions and Constructions- environmental law will also examine the condition
and quality of housing and transportation in regards to its improvement and
expansion.
4. Give at least five examples of environmental which are not mentioned above.
1. Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003- the law aims to adopt a
systematic, comprehensive and ecological solid waste management program that shall
ensure the protection of public health and environment.
2. Republic Act 6969 Toxic Substances, Hazardous and Nuclear Waste Control
Act of 1990- the law aims to regulate restrict or prohibit the importation,
manufacture, processing, sale, distribution, use and disposal of chemical substances
and mixtures the present unreasonable risk to human health.
3. PD No. 1219 (As amended by Presidential Decree No. 1698,1980)
[PROVIDING FOR THE EXPLORATION, EXPLOITATION, UTILIZATION
AND CONSERVATION OF CORAL RESOURCES]. – It is hereby to declared to
be the policy of the State to promote and regulate the exploitation, utilization and
conservation of coral resources, whether existing beneath territorial waters or in the
marine economic zone of the Philippines, and to ensure the protection of these
resources as provided for under other existing law.
4. Republic Act (RA 9512) Environmental Awareness and Education Act of
2008- it articulates that the state shall promote national awareness of the role of
national resources in economic growth and importance of environmental conservation
and ecological balance towards sustained national development.
5. Republic Act (RA 9729) Climate Change Act of 2009- allowed mainstreaming of
climate change into government formulation of programs and projects, plans and
strategies, and policies, creation of Climate change commission, and establishment of
framework strategy and program for climate change.
5. I expect to this subject is to enhance our knowledge about the environmental laws and
if we know the laws. So we can protect our environment.
