 BASIS FOR DELIVERANCE & HEALING

Paul ended Ephesians Chapter 6 talking about warfare. He said in

verses 11-18 the following….
11
Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the dark-
ness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly
places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with the belt of truth, having
put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with
the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of
faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all persever-
ance and supplication for all the saints— Put on the full armor of God
twice daily at least!

Think about that for a moment. Ask yourself these questions:

 Have you answered the Deliverance & Healing call?
 Are you doing what Jesus did? Because Jesus preached the
kingdom, not Christianity or religion. He healed the sick; He
cleansed the lepers, raised the dead, and cast out devils!
 Are you doing this?

Matthew 10:7-8 Says….

7 “And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely
ye have received, freely give”.

WHAT THIS MANUAL IS NOT INTENDED
TO DO

1. Turn your whole ministry into solely a deliverance ministry.

We live in a day when many ministers claim that God has called them to preach only
a specific part of the gospel. We have been called to preach the WHOLE
COUNSEL of God [Acts 20:27], be it Salvation or Sanctification or Baptism of the
Holy Ghost, Prosperity, Faith, and Deliverance etc. etc. We must be balanced and
be careful of not to overemphasize or under-emphasize

 All Christians are called to do deliverance, but not all Christians are called to
the deliverance ministry.

 Every believer should be able to cast out demons and heal the sick. This is a
sign that we are disciples.

Mark 16:17-18 Says…. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my
name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not
hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”.

2. Make you begin seeing demons under every green tree!

While it is true that demons are behind most problems that people have, it is also
true that other reasons may be behind some problems. EX: Breaking a bone or
Cutting one’s self through an accident. This is an Excellent use of Doctors!

3. Make you become suspicious of people.

We must not become “Demon Chasers” as a result of this manual. Rather, we must
use these teachings in a positive way that translates into helping the needy.
Remember to always “Love the Person, and Hate the Demon within the Person.”

 THE MINISTRY OF DELIVERANCE

Defined in simple terms:

 The process of casting out demons is called Deliverance

 The ministry of Deliverance MUST go hand in hand with the ministry of
Healing and Christ Coaching or Evangelising.

The absence of this vital ministry in any church results in spiritually disabled
Christians being raised in the church.

SCRIPTURAL BASIS:(Homework – Look up all scriptures listed, but not shown)

1. Jesus commanded it: Mark 6:7; Mark 16:15-18; Matt. 10:1-8; Luke 10:19

2. Jesus practiced it: Mk. 2:2-20 with Mt. 8:28-34; Mat.9:32-33; Matt. 12:22

deliverance to the possessed. Lk. 4:18 and Acts 10:38
What He did, He expects us to do also! John 14:12

 With the multitude of precepts, practices and patterns, concerning deliverance
& healing, as listed in the scriptures, anyone who gets involved in deliverance
ministry today has solid scriptural backing.

EXPLORING THE WILD, WEIRD and WACKY

WORLD OF DEMONS
(Homework – Look up all scriptures listed, but not shown)

Are they real?

There is no doubt that the Bible, interpreted in any normal fashion, testifies
very clearly to the reality and activity of demons.

Evidence from the Old Testament

1. A spirit being spoke through the serpent in Genesis 3 and caused the fall of
man. Satan may be considered a demon, since he is named the “ruler of the demons”
[Matt. 12:24]
2. A demon volunteered to be a “lying spirit” to Ahab [1 Kings 22:20-22]
1. There were spirit beings energizing the world rulers in the time of Daniel
[Dan. 10:13, 20]
2. No fewer than five different Hebrew words are translated by the Greek
Septuagint version of the Old Testament by the well-known New Testament Greek
words daemon or daimonion.
3. Molec – (Fallen) Israelites sacrificed babies in the fire to Molec.
[Deuteronomy 18:10] [2Kings3:27] [2Kings16:3] [2Chronicles33:6]
4. Dagon – (Fallen) Phillistenes and the story of Samson. Demon of Death &
Destruction. [Judges 16]
5. Belial – (Fallen) Story of the Israelites raping the man’s concubine to death.
This was demon of Belial. [Judges 19:22, 20:13]
6. Jezebel – (Human) Story of Jezebel & King Ahab. {1 Kings 16:31]
7. Baal – (Fallen) See Moses in Sinah & Jezebel and Elijah [1Kings 18:17]

Evidence from the New Testament

 More than 100 references to demons sprinkle the New Testament. Four Greek
terms definitely refers to demons. Diamon is used once in the critical editions
of the New Testament [Matt. 8:31]. Daimonion occurs 63 times, and pneumata
[spirits] appears 43 times. The general term for angels, angelos, describes
demons in several contexts [Matt. 25:41; Rev. 12:7, 9]
It is significant testimony to the reality of demons that every writer [though
not every book] of the New Testament, except the author of Hebrews,
mentions demons or evil angels. Even Hebrews however, directly names the devil
[Heb. 2:14].

Evidence from the testimony of Christ

1. Jesus accepted the fact that Satan was the ruler of an army of demons.
Matt. 12:22=28
2. He regarded Satan and demons as morally responsible beings who were guilty
and assigned to the lake of fire Matt 25:41
1. He placed His claims to messiahship partly on His miraculous ability to cast
out demons. Matt. 12:28
2. He gave His disciples authority to cast out demons Matt. 10:1 (This is the
same as giving us in the present day the same exact authority)
3. A larger part of His ministry involved the casting out of demons & healing.
* Approximately 33% of Jesus ministry was focused on casting out demons &
healing.
The gospels record seventeen mentions of demons connected with the ministry
of Christ, and in nine cases they specifically state that Jesus cast out the
demon. From all these evidences, we cannot profess to believe the Bible and
deny the reality of demons, either in Bible days or now.

Who are they?

Demons are spirit beings that have an intense craving to occupy physical bodies.
Apparently, their first choice is a human body; but rather than remain in a
disembodied condition, they are willing to enter even the body of an animal. Lk.
8:32-33

What is their origin?

There is a problem concerning the exact origin of demons, since it is not
precisely stated in the Bible.
There is good evidence, however that demons are fallen angels aligned with
their leader and chief demon, Satan.

 In his original rebellion, Satan drew with him a great number of angels; perhaps
a third of all created Ezek. 28:18, Rev. 12:4.

 They may now be classified as either confined or free. The free have
their abode in the heavenlies and have access to earth and its inhabitants
Eph. 3:10, 6:12
 Some are in the abyss or pit Rev. 9:1-11…a place to which Christ cast
many. Lk. 8:31
 Others are bound on earth…in river Euphrates
Rev. 9:14
 Jude 6 describes a particularly wicked group of demons as “kept in
eternal bonds”. (see Genesis 6 – watcher class fallen angels)

What is the nature of Demons?

1. They are personal beings:

This is evidenced by the fact that:
[I] Personal pronouns are applied to them Lk. 8:27-30
[ii] They may assume personal names, such as “legion” Lk. 8:30
[iii] They use intelligent speech Lk. 4:33-35, 41; 8:28-30
[iv] They recognize the identity of Christ Mk. 1:23-24 and of Paul
Acts 16:16-17
[v] They exhibit emotion of fear and trembling Lk. 8:28; James 2:19
[vi] They have a will Matt. 12:44
[vii] They have ability to speak. Any language

1. They are powerful beings:

[I] Highly intelligent Ezek 28:12

[ii] Capable of carrying out strategies on the local or world wide scene

DELIVERANCE INCLUDE:

2. Individuals whose parents contemplated an abortion.
3. Individuals given up for adoption.
4. Individuals abandoned by one or more parents.
5. Individuals who were orphans.
6. Individuals who have been abused as children.

8. Individuals whose mothers had a difficult pregnancy.
9. Individuals whose mothers had a long and hard labor.
10. Individuals who almost died during the first few years of life.
11. Individuals who had imaginary playmates during childhood because of

26. Individuals who are angry or bitter with their parents, brothers, or sisters.
27. Individuals exposed to drugs at an early age.
28. Individuals who are homosexual or lesbian or were introduced to these
lifestyles during some point in their lives.
29. Individuals with a history of sexual perversion in their bloodline (adultery,
rape, incest, etc.)
30. Individuals who have been accident-prone all their lives.
31. Individuals with a history of poverty in their lives or families.

relationship.

84. Individuals who hate bathing and keeping themselves clean.
85. Individuals who are addicted to exercise and dieting.
86. Individuals who are not or over-concerned about their appearance.
87. Individuals who feel they are ugly and unattractive.
88. Individuals who are workaholics and work themselves to exhaustion.
89. Individuals who are over-religious.
90. Individuals who have a hard time believing God loves them.
91. Individuals who keep standing up to go out during services.
92. Individuals who are preoccupied with death and dying.
93. Individuals who are vagabonds or a wanderers.
94. Individuals who have a hard time submitting to authority
95. Individuals who are unapproachable and hostile towards people.
96. Individuals who are attracted to guns and weapons or keep them in their
possession.

 97. Individuals who are afraid of demons, deliverance and subject of
deliverance.
98. Individuals who fall asleep in services and can not pay attention
99. Individuals who have preoccupation with religious symbols, clothing,
icons, statues, etc.
100. Individuals who have a preoccupation with horror movies and the
macabre.
101. Individuals who have an inordinate affection for animals and pets.
102. Individuals who desire to drink blood or sacrifice animals.
103. Individuals who have ever murdered someone or have desire to kill
Someone.
104. Individuals who have ever made pledges or oaths to false gods, Satan,
occult organizations, gangs, etc.
105. Individuals who have blasphemous thoughts constantly entering their
minds (cursing God, etc.).
106. Individuals who are afraid of the police or authority figures.
107. Individuals who are loners and don’t have any friends.
108. Individuals who have desire to expose their bodies.
109. Individuals who hate children or babies.
110. Victims of successful or unsuccessful kidnapping attempt.

INTRODUCING MOUNTAIN-MOVING FAITH

Luke 7:3 “The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of
the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4
When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, "This
man deserves to have you do this, 5 because he loves our nation
and has built our synagogue." 6 So Jesus went with them. He
was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say
to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to
have you come under my roof. 7 That is why I did not even
consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my
servant will be healed.

8 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me”

The centurion had authority over the soldiers under his command. Let’s see in what
way he understood the nature of authority.

I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes.
I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

What exactly is the point the centurion is making here? The point is that he has no
doubt whatsoever that the men under his authority will in fact do what he
commands them to do. That is the nature of authority. When he commands them to
march, he knows without a shadow of doubt that they will in fact obey him and
march. When he summons a servant, the servant will of course come immediately.
When he commands a soldier to attack an enemy, he knows that the soldier will
obey and attack. The centurion understood the nature of authority: whatever is
under one’s authority must obey one’s commands. There was no (or extremely little)
possibility that the soldiers would not obey his commands, and the centurion was
supremely confident of that. It is clear from his words that the centurion had no
doubt that his men would in fact obey his commands.

9 “ When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to

the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found
such great faith even in Israel."

Jesus was absolutely amazed at the faith of the centurion, declaring that he had
not encountered such faith anywhere in Israel. What kind of unusual faith did the
centurion have that Jesus had not seen anywhere else?

Of course the centurion had faith that Jesus could heal his servant. But this was
no different from the several infirm or demonized people recorded in the gospels
who came to Jesus with faith to be healed by him. For example, the woman with
the bleeding who touched Jesus’ cloak was healed by her faith in Jesus (Mark
5:34). But the centurion as described here had another dimension to his faith: he
had no doubt that the soldiers under his authority would obey his commands. And
since Jesus had authority over infirmities and demons, he could of course rebuke
and issue commands to infirmities and they would in fact obey him. Jesus could
command the servant to be healed even at a distance from the house, and he in
fact would be healed. The centurion understood all this because he understood
authority. (Deliverance & Healing from a distance = validation for skype sessions)

Therefore what kind of unusual faith did the centurion have? He had faith without
a doubt. The mountain-moving faith taught by Jesus in Matthew 17:20 is none
other than faith-without-a-doubt.

10 “Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and
found the servant well”.

The consequence of doubt: Peter attempting to walk on water

Matthew 14:28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to

you on the water." 29 "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of
the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when
he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord,
save me!" 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.
"You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

Jesus commanded Peter to “come”---to walk on water. Peter tried, but ended up
failing and sinking. Why did Peter fail? The reason was because he doubted that he
could in fact walk on water as Jesus commanded. While we will develop this much
more in a later chapter, we now see that doubt in our heart can cause us to fail to
do what Jesus commands us to do, especially in the realm of the supernatural.

To reinforce the importance and necessity of resisting doubt in our hearts, let’s
take a peek at the next chapter of this Manual where we will study mountain-
moving faith in greater depth.

Mark 11:23 "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain,

'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their
heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done
for them. (Quit smoking or anything else with this passage)

Now let’s study the incident from which this verse is taken---where Jesus curses
the fig tree.

 EXACTLY WHAT IS MOUNTAIN-MOVING
FAITH?

We know that mountain-moving faith must work alongside authority in order for a
demon to be cast out or an infirm person to be healed. Authority over disease and
demons has already been given to believers for the primary purpose of sharing the
gospel of the kingdom to the lost. Therefore let us focus on the other important
variable known as mountain-moving faith. Exactly what is the nature of mountain-
moving faith?

Mark 11:12 “Now the next day, when they had come out from
Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree
having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something
on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it
was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, “May
no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him
say it.”

Jesus talks to a tree

Jesus does something unusual by most standards, even church standards. He talks
to a tree in the hearing of his disciples. For obvious reasons, most people do not
speak to trees, let alone allow others to see them engaged in such behavior.
Exactly what did Jesus say to the tree?

He spoke to the fig tree and cursed it. Essentially, he commanded it to wither and
die. Note that he did not pray to the Father and ask Him to curse the tree. No, the
Father had given him authority over the tree, so He could perform the action
himself by a command to the tree. What was the immediate result of Jesus
speaking to the fig tree?

…20 “In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree
withered from the roots”.

(Note: This shows the power of the power of speaking out loud)

A powerful miracle took place. The fig tree withered. It heard the words that
Jesus spoke to it and obeyed his command.

21 “Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig

tree you cursed has withered!”

Peter was clearly impressed. He was the one disciple who had a special interest in
the miracles that he saw Jesus performing. In an incident recorded in Matthew 14,
Peter and the other disciples were in a boat on the sea when they saw Jesus
walking toward them on the water. In that incident Peter was the only one who was
interested in performing the miracle of walking on water as Jesus had done.

When Peter saw what Jesus had done to the fig tree, he was amazed and likely was
interested in understanding how Jesus had done it. Exactly how did Jesus curse
the fig tree with the use of authority? In his reply in the next verse, Jesus
reveals exactly how he exercised his authority over the tree to cause it to wither.

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered”.

According to the original Greek manuscript, there is an alternative English

translation for Jesus’ answer, and it is equally valid.

22 “Have faith of God,” Jesus answered”.

The Modern King James Version, Young’s Literal Translation and the Literal
Translation of the Holy Bible all render Jesus’ answer as “have faith of God.” This
translation makes far more sense in the context of the incident than does the
traditional translation. It is very likely that Jesus in his answer to Peter was
teaching him how he had performed the miracle on the fig tree using his authority.
While no one will argue about the paramount importance of having “faith in God,” it
is vague and not very helpful in understanding how Jesus cursed the fig tree.

However, “have faith of God” offers a rich understanding as to how Jesus

performed the miracle. When Jesus exercised his authority over the tree, he did
it with faith of God.
Faith of God

In the next verse, Jesus goes on to explain the nature of “faith of God.”

23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go,

throw yourself into the sea,’

These words are familiar to us. They take us back to the incident where Jesus had
reproached his disciples for failing to heal a boy of epilepsy. They had failed
because of their little faith. The kind of faith referred to by Jesus here was
“faith as a mustard seed,” or if you will recall, mountain-moving faith. In verse 23
above, Jesus is again speaking of mountain-moving faith. Faith of God, therefore, is
for all practical purposes identical to mountain-moving faith. Jesus goes on to
specify the nature of mountain-moving faith, or essentially the nature of faith of
God.

and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says
will happen, it will be done for him”

Faith of God therefore consists of two ingredients:

 No doubt in our hearts

 Believing that what we say must be done

If you disagree with the use of the term “faith of God,” then let us simply use
“mountain-moving faith” instead. For us these two terms are interchangeable for
purposes related to healing the sick and casting out demons.

FIVE ILLUSTRATIONS OF “FAITH OF GOD”

To understand clearly the nature of faith of God, we will look at five illustrations.

How would God move a mountain apart from the hand of man?

God would not pray. Since He is the Most High, there is no one to whom He can
pray. He would rather speak to the mountain and command it to move. He might
say, as in Mark 11:23, “Be moved and be cast into the sea.”

 Mark 11:22 “And answering Jesus said to them, “Have faith of
God. 23 For truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this
mountain, ‘Be moved and be cast into the sea,’

When God commands the mountain to move, does He entertain any doubt in His
heart that the mountain will obey Him? Is He at all fearful that the mountain
might not move? Does He really believe that the mountain will obey Him?

and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he
said shall occur, he shall have whatever he said.” (NKJV)

No, He entertains not the slightest doubt that the mountain will obey Him. Why
not?

God has no doubt because as the Most High God He has authority over the
mountain. Since it is under His authority, it will of course obey His command.
Therefore when God speaks to the mountain, He commands it with mountain-moving
faith, or faith of God. And the mountain obeys His command. We see therefore
that faith of God is related to authority. When we understand that we have
authority over something, we can give a command to that thing with no fear or
doubt---with faith of God.

“Let there be light”

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And God said, “Let there
be light.” God essentially spoke and commanded the light to appear. Let’s say for
the sake of argument that there were angels present at that moment. When God
commanded, “Let there be light,” did He have any doubt at all that the light would
in fact obey His command and appear? Was He concerned that if the light did not
appear, He might be embarrassed in front of the angels? No, God had no doubt at
all. Why not?

God had no doubt the light would appear because He knew He had authority over
the light, and that it would most certainly obey His command. Therefore when He
said, “Let there be light,” He spoke it forth with faith of God. The understanding

of authority over something gives rise to faith of God and enables us to command
that thing with total confidence.

Jesus cursing the fig tree

When Jesus cursed the fig tree in front of his disciples, did he doubt that the
miracle would take place? Was he concerned that if the tree did not wither, his
disciples might be disappointed and might leave him? No, Jesus had no doubt that
the fig tree would wither. Why not?

Jesus had no doubt because he knew that the Father had given him authority over
the tree. Because the tree was subject to his authority, it would have no choice
but to obey his command. With this understanding of his authority over the tree,
he could command it to wither with faith of God, without any wavering, uncertainty
or hesitation.

Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead

When Jesus stood before the tomb containing the corpse of Lazarus, he was
accompanied by the sisters of Lazarus, Mary and Martha, as well as some Jews
(John 11). He spoke forth a command, saying, “Lazarus, come out!” When Jesus
uttered the words, did he have doubt that the dead man would come back to life?
Was he afraid that if this extraordinary miracle did not come to pass, that Mary
and Martha would no longer believe in him and that he would embarrass himself in
front of the Jews? No, there was no doubt. Why not?

Jesus had no doubt that the dead man would obey his command because he knew
that the Father had given him authority to raise the dead (John 5:21). Because of
this authority Jesus could issue the command with faith of God. One can issue a
command to something with faith of God---with great confidence and without any
wavering---if we know that we have been given authority over that thing.

Telling your dog to “sit”

Let’s say that you have raised your dog Tuffy since he was a puppy. You have spent
a small fortune sending him to obedience school. One evening in your home you are
holding a Bible study teaching a group of believers about the nature of authority.
Suddenly Tuffy walks into the room. You decide to use Tuffy as an illustration of
how to exercise authority. In front of the people, you say, “Tuffy, come here.” He
obediently trots over to you and waits at your feet. Then you say to him, “SIT.” Do
you have doubt in your heart that Tuffy will obey your command in front of all the
people? Do you harbor a tormenting fear that Tuffy will disobey your command and
ruin your illustration, not to mention embarrass you in front of the people? No, of
course you don’t. Why not?

You have no doubt that Tuffy will sit and that he will in fact do what you say
because you know your authority over him. With this authority, you can issue the
command to him with faith of God---with no doubt, with complete confidence and
assurance and without any wavering. What if Tuffy is stubborn at that moment and
doesn’t sit? Will you cry out to Jesus to help you? No, you will simply repeat the
command with even greater force and you might even reach out your hand to force
him to sit. One way or another, he is going to submit to your command.

Here is an illustration of issuing the command to your dog without faith of God.
It’s exaggerated and dramatized, but you will get the point.

Tuffy is standing before you wagging his tail. He is waiting for your authoritative
command. But you get down on your knees before him, and say as sweetly as
possible, “Good dog, Tuffy. I love you, and Jesus does too. Hallelujah.” You beg him,
“would you please sit, Tuffy?” Then you look up to heaven. “Jesus, help me! I can do
nothing, but nothing is impossible for you. Please make my dog sit. Thank you,
Jesus. Thank you, Father.” You follow that up with a healthy burst of unknown
tongues. Then you turn your attention back to Tuffy. “Nice dog, Tuffy, if you don’t
mind, would you please sit?

It is clear that Tuffy will not sit, although you have authority over him. When you
issue the command to him in such a spineless way, he does not understand what you
want him to do. Since you doubt that you can make Tuffy sit, you cry out to Jesus
for his help; you speak to God in unknown tongues. Since you have doubt, it is clear
that you lack faith of God when you issue the command. As a result, nothing
happens. Tuffy just wags his tail and licks your face.

Unfortunately, this is how many believers attempt to heal the sick and cast out
demons. They do not understand how to give commands with faith of God, instead
they mix and confound praying and commanding. They cry out to Jesus and give
thanks to God hoping that this will prompt Him to act. Charismatic believers may in
addition speak in unknown tongues. It is clear that such believers are not properly
trained and that they have doubt. It is not surprising why the infirmity or the
demon does not obey them, and they fail.

The same principles apply when commanding your five-year-old boy to stop beating
his little sister. You don’t get down on your knees as if you have no authority over
him. You don’t speak to him sweetly and gently. You don’t cry out to Jesus for help
and you don’t speak in tongues. You stand over your little boy with eyes wide open
and command him to stop with authority and faith of God---with no doubt in your
heart. He must do what you say. You may even physically restrain him if necessary.
Whatever the case, you will make him stop beating his little sister. He is under
your authority.

Now something on the light side for you….

This is how we would like demons and diseases to obey us in the context of
deliverance. The dog in the cartoon is representative of them.

But often this is what we really see happening….

Demons and diseases, of course, are not quite in the same category as our dog and
our children. Our pets usually obey us willingly. But, for the sake of the gospel,
demons and diseases can be considered the work of the enemy. They are
essentially in rebellion to God’s rule and authority, and do not submit to us willingly.
We must force them out with the authority given to us by the Lord. That often
involves rebuking and commanding with holy anger and indignation.

When I teach, I often use the expression “like a mother bear robbed of her cubs”
to describe the kind of attitude that we must have towards diseases and demons
when we speak to them. Imagine if a home invader breaks down your front door and
threatens your wife and children. You would take violent action to protect your
loved ones. That is how we speak to and rebuke diseases and demons. It’s the only

language that they understand---overwhelming force resulting from the
combination of authority and faith in Jesus’s work on the cross.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS AND WEAPONS FOR

WARFARE
(Homework – Study the GIFTS, but DO NOT obsess over them!)

I. WE MUST WALK IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HAVE

SPIRITUAL GIFTS OPERATING IN OUR LIFE. (Review this as Homework-
Look up all the scriptures on your own and study them)

A) The manifestational gifts of 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 are necessary to do the work

of God. B) All spiritual gifts are received in seed form and develop and grow
stronger as we exercise them by use. C) Spiritual gifts can be imparted by the
laying on of hands. D) Some of the gifts are more important than others in the
deliverance ministry. Three gifts that are extremely important are discerning of
spirits v-10, faith v-9, and miracles v-10. Word of Knowledge and gifts of healings
are also quite helpful.

1 Corinthians 12:7-10 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each

one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the
Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another
faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to
another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of
spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of
tongues”.

1. Discerning of spirits.

a) The gift of discerning of spirits is the God-given ability to know what kind of
spirit is working in a person or situation.

b) We must be able to discern between the flesh, evil spirits, a person’s personality
and the Holy Spirit. C) The Holy Spirit will speak to our spirit and we will know
what is happening. D) This knowing will not come from learning or human knowledge

but from the Holy Spirit. E) Mentors and teaching can help us to understand and
how to develop these gifts. Often just being around someone more experienced
with similar giftings to us will begin to activate our gifts more.

2. Gift of Faith

A) The gift of faith is the supernatural ability to exercise faith in a given situation
above and beyond our “normal” level of faith. B) It is a surge of faith in our heart
that enables us to do miracles.

Matthew 17:20 So “Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for

assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to
this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be
impossible for you”.

Matthew 21:21 “So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to
you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to
the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast
into the sea,' it will be done”

c) This supernatural faith is in a supernatural God who is able to do supernatural

things.

3. Gift of Miracles

A) The working of miracles is manifestation of power beyond the ordinary course

of natural laws. B) It is divine enablement to do something that could not be done
naturally. C) The gift of miracles can be the casting out of demons.

II. THE ARMOR OF GOD AND OUR MIGHTY WEAPONS

Our armor and weapons are not physical but spiritual.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of
His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,

against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the
whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put
on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which
you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the
helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with
all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

Putting on the armor each day is a must if we are to succeed in our walk.

A. The armor of God – Do this twice daily or as needed!

1. Put on the Belt of Truth • Jesus is the truth.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through Me”.

John 8:32-36 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free." They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never
been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?" Jesus
answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave
of sin. "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides
forever. "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

• The belt is the part of the armor to which all the others attach. • Our life is held
together by truth… • Visualize putting Jesus around your waist. • Decide that you
will believe the truth rather than you feelings or the circumstance.

2. Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness. • Jesus is our righteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that
we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Romans 1:16-17 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the
power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and
also for the greek”

Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is
written, "The just shall live by faith."

Romans 3:21-22 “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is
revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the
righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who
believe”

• We must cover our inward parts with His righteousness. • Until you see yourself
100% righteous, you will never win the battle. • Visualize putting on the 100%
righteousness of Jesus which is His gift.

3. Put on the Helmet of Salvation – Stops Dreams, Evil Thoughts, Etc…

• Jesus is our salvation. • The battle is for your mind.

Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus”.

1 Corinthians 2:16 “For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may
instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ”

Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,

that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which
is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that
good and acceptable and perfect will of God”

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but
mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every
high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every
thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”.

• We must think the thoughts of God and not of evil. • We must protect our mind
from the onslaught of Satan. • Visualize putting on a helmet that protects your
mind from the enemies’ fiery darts. Put on the mind of Christ.

4. Put on the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace.

• Jesus is our Peace.

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world
gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid.

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have
peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world."

Ephesians 2:14 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has
broken down the middle wall of separation”.

• We must walk in peace to defeat the enemy. • Visualize yourself putting on the
Shoes of Peace each day.

5. Put on the Shield of Faith.

• Jesus is our source of faith.

Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are
His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared
beforehand that we should walk in them”.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from
the deeds of the law.

Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as
it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Ephesians 6:15

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked one.

• Jesus is our shield that stops Satan’s fiery accusations against us. • Jesus
promises to keep Satan from harming us. • Visualize raising up a big shield when
Satan attacks.

6. Take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

 I use Luke 10:19 as my sword of the spirit – “19 Behold, I give you the
authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power
of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. “

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”

Isaiah 49:2 And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His
hand He has hidden Me, and made Me a polished shaft; in His quiver He has hidden
Me.

Ephesians 6:17 b …and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

• Our power is by the Spirit of God. • The Holy Spirit empowers the Word of God.
Jesus is the Word. • Visualize taking a sword made of the Word of God and the
Spirit of God. It is a two-edged sword to cut and kill the enemy.

III. WEAPONS FOR OUR USE IN WARFARE.

1. The Word of God

Hebrews 4:12

Ephesians 6:17

 Matthew 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were
demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were
sick.

2. The Blood of Jesus

Revelation 12:11 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the
Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his
angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ
have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day
and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

3. The Name of Jesus

Luke 10:17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are
subject to us in Your name."

4. The Cross

Colossians 2:14-15 Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was
against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having
nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public
spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

5. The Word of our Testimony

Revelation 12: 11

6. Willingness to lay down our life.

7. Praying in the Spirit (in tongues)

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being
watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

Psalm 149:5-9 “Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; To bind
their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them
the written judgment-- this honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!”

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed
those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness,
as they went out before the army and were saying: "Praise the LORD, for His
mercy endures forever." Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set
ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come
against Judah; and they were defeated.

9. Faith

Ephesians 6:16

1 John 5:4 “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the
victory that has overcome the world-- our faith”

10. Fasting

Isaiah 58:6 "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of
wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you
break every yoke?

Mark 9:28-29 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him
privately, "Why could we not cast him out?" So He said to them, "This kind can
come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

11. Unity

Deuteronomy 32:30 How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to
flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had surrendered them?

Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell
together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the
beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the
dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion.

12. Other weapons • Hornets of God

Deuteronomy 7:22 "Moreover the LORD your God will send the hornet among them
until those who are left, who hide themselves from you, are destroyed.”

• Michael the warrior angel

Daniel 10:12-13 Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day
that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God,
your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. "But the prince of
the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of
the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings
of Persia.

• Angels

Revelation 20:1-3 “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to
the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that
serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and
he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that
he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished”.
Also use Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them” Also Use Psalm 91 – (add verse here)

 THE BLOOD OF JESUS
According to the Bible, living the overcoming, victorious Christian life involves
testifying (confessing) to what the Word of God and the Blood of Jesus has done
and is doing for us now. (Homework – Look up all verses listed below)

Declare the following out loud:

 I have authority to Plead The Blood Of Jesus. Jesus' Blood is alive and
speaks on our behalf today. (Hebrews 12:24-25)

 The Blood of Jesus is the Blood of the new covenant which has been
shed for me. (Luke 22:20)

 The Blood of Jesus is the Blood of the everlasting covenant which is in

force for me for all eternity. (Hebrews 13:20)

 The life is in the Blood of Jesus, therefore the very life of God lives in
my spirit and flows into my soul (mind, will and emotions) and into my
physical body. (Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 17:11)

 Through faith in the Blood of Jesus I have been redeemed, bought from
the hand of the enemy. Therefore I am no longer in the kingdom of
darkness but through the Blood I have been translated into the Kingdom
of God's dear Son. (Colossians 1:13-14; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18-
19; Acts 20:28; Hebrews 9:12)

 The Blood of Jesus is very precious to me because of its cleansing power

from all sin and unrighteousness, which includes all the consequences and
effects of sin. (I John 1:7, 9; Hebrews 10:10-25; Revelation 19:7-9)

 Through the precious Blood of Jesus I have been made unto God a king
and a priest and have been given authority to reign with him on the
earth now and for all eternity. (Revelation 5:9-10; Romans 5:17 The
Amplified Bible)

 Through the Blood of Jesus all my sins have been remitted, therefore I

 am now washed, sanctified and justified, as though sin never existed. (I
Corinthians 6:11)

 I have been bought for a price, purchased with a preciousness (the

Blood of Jesus), paid for, made His own. I now honour and bring glory
to Him in my body and in my spirit, which are God's.(I Corinthians 6:20
The Amplified Bible)

 Not only is my spirit made new - recreated - by the Blood of Jesus,

but my conscience has been cleansed. I am now free from ALL guilt,
unworthiness, condemnation and sin-consciousness.(Hebrews 9:14)

 Through the Blood of the everlasting covenant God makes me perfect,

that is He strengthens, completes, makes me what I ought to be, equips
me with everything good that I may carry out His will. (Hebrews 13:20-
21 The Amplified Bible)

 Through the Blood of Jesus I have boldness now to enter into the holy
of holies in heaven into the presence of God with a true heart in full
assurance of faith. I am now free from all fear and timidity. (Hebrews
10:19-22; Ephesians 2:13)

 Through the Blood of Jesus I have been sanctified, set apart for
Him. (Hebrews 10:10)

 Through the shedding of Blood of Jesus I now have healing and health in
my body because Jesus bore my griefs, sicknesses, diseases,
weaknesses, distresses and pains. By His stripes I am healed. (Isaiah
53:4-5; I Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17; Galatians 3:13-14)

 Through the Blood of Jesus I have been redeemed from the curse of
lack and poverty for Jesus Himself bore the chastisement needful to
obtain peace, prosperity and total well-being* for me. Though Jesus was
so very rich, yet for my sake he became so very poor on the cross, in
order that by His poverty I might become abundantly supplied. (Isaiah
53:4-5; II Corinthians 8:9)

 *The Hebrew word "shalom" means peace, prosperity and total well-

 being.

 I have faith in the power of the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God to
provide protection for my spirit, soul, body, family, home, and
everything that concerns me. When I submit myself to the Word of
God, resist the devil, and exercise faith in the power of the Blood, the
wicked one cannot touch me. (I John 5:18; Luke 10:19; Psalm 91)

 Because of what the Blood and the Word has done for me I am
continually overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil. I refuse to be
defeated! (Revelation 12:11; I John 5:4-5)

 On the basis of the Blood of Jesus I have a standing of eternal sonship

with all of it's rights and privileges. (Romans 8:15-17; I John 3:1-2)

 On the ground of Jesus' Blood I have a legal right to use the Name of
Jesus. (Philippians 2:7-11; John 16:23; Mark 16:17-18)

Many examples from the Bible show the relationship between the Blood of Jesus
and a particular benefit such as redemption, forgiveness of sins, cleansing,
sanctification, healing and prosperity. When we plead the Blood, it is a valid,
scriptural expression of our faith in that Blood. When we testify to the power of
the Blood and the Word of God, thereby robbing Satan of his power to defeat us.

We can say boldly and confidently: "Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you. I hold
the blood against you and declare on the authority of God's Word that Jesus'
Blood does now overcome you, sin, every sickness, disease, pain, lack, poverty and
every evil work. Flee Now in Jesus' Name!"

DOING A DELIVERANCE SESSION

(Homework – Look up all verses listed below)

Suggested Preparation for the one Doing Deliverance:

1. The deliverance worker must be born again. 2Tim. 2:6; Psa. 50:16; Lk. 6:39
2. Needs Holiness of Character. 2Tim. 2:21
If a man is to be used of God, his life must be clean; not only his outward life as
the world sees it, but his inward secret life as it is known only to God and to

himself. How few who attempt to help others in the name of the Lord think
sufficiently of this! If they did, it would strike them that the eternal would never
use dirty tools. Holy Jehovah would only select holy instruments for the
accomplishment of His work. God would not go to work with instruments that would
compromise His own character!
Isaiah 52:11 “Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing,
go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.” See
also Acts 19:13-17
1. A sound growing relationship with Jesus Christ in prayers, fasting, biblical
studies, etc. etc.
2. Working knowledge of the scriptures. Matt. 4: 4, 7, 10
3. Must be filled with and sensitive to the leading and the prompting of the
Holy Spirit. Act 1:8; Acts 10:38; Lk. 11:20
4. Genuine interest in helping people – GENTLENESS (See Galations 5:22-23)
5. Patience with people – A MUST!!! (see fruits of spirit)
6. Wisdom - “Get wisdom, get understanding…Wisdom is the principal thing,
therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding.” Prov. 4:4,7
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men
liberally, and upraideth not, and it shall be given him” James 1:5

The Person Requesting Prayer:

There are several requirements the person requesting prayer must have if the
deliverance session is going to be productive:

1. A desire to be free
2. A willingness to be converted and start living for God
1. A willingness to forgive others
2. A willingness to keep the spirits out.
3. A willingness to abide by post-prayer instructions – See website

The Physical Place of Prayer

1. Must be private or on skype – recipient needs to be comfortable

2. Must be a safe place where the one being prayed for cannot get hurt during
violent manifestations.
1. Must have adequate supply of tissue –deliverance can be messy

2. Must have waste paper basket.

Gathering Information

1. Its helpful if those receiving deliverance complete some sort of

questionaire. You may want to consider a waiver.
2. Questionairre or Demon Test - From the questionnaire, you will be able to
determine where the person is spiritually. Use this knowledge to introduce Christ
or bring about a restoration to Christ should you be dealing with a backslider.
3. Lead the person in a general prayer, which may include but is not limited to;
Salvation Prayer, confession of sins; forgiveness of others, renunciation of
occultic involvements.
1. Led by God’s spirit and information provided in the questionnaire, go after
the spirits one by one. (See Demonic Groupings List)

Helpful Suggestions:

1. As much as practicable, assign at least Deliverance workers to each case.

1. Avoid working alone with the opposite sex
2. Select the right worker to deal with each case
3. Choose the right time and place for the session
4. Rotate the team members so as to give them time to rest.
5. Restrain those with violent manifestations to avoid injury.
6. Sit directly in front or beside the person being prayed for.
7. Never close your eyes.
8. Exercise compassion.
9. Speak in a calm voice
10. Look the person in the eyes.
11. Decide whether to touch the person or not.
12. Never interrupt another worker
13. Several workers should not cast out several spirits at the same time
14. Do not believe everything the spirits tell you, rely heavily on the Holy Spirit.
15. Sometimes a second deliverance session may be better than a long drawn out
exhausting one.
16. Do not be fooled, the fact that manifestations have stopped does not mean
that deliverance is complete. Patiently go after every one of the spirits identified
in the initial interview.

 DELIVERANCE FROM CURSES
Demons operate on legalities. Simply put, Satan is a lawyer and he knows
God’s law forward and backwards. If you have cast out demons with no lasting
result, then there is probably a situation of the demon having a legal rights to
operate within the person. This would include coming back as well.

We want to provide a list of curses to break before you start Deliverance (casting
out demons) to take away the legal rights of some of the demons. As you start
breaking curses, the Holy Spirit may give you other curses that need to be broken.
Remember to always begin with repentance – asking the Lord to forgive you and
your ancestors for the sins and iniquities that allowed the curses to be placed upon
you/them.

It is not necessary to know the sin or iniquity that opened the door for the curses
and demons, just call it the sin and/or iniquity that was committed, etc. Some of
the scriptures to read are Exodus 20:5; Numbers 14:18 and Deuteronomy 5:9.
As Exodus 34:6 & 7 state – the Lord is merciful and will forgive sin and iniquity,
but if that sin and iniquity is not confessed so He can forgive then the curses are
upon us allowing demons to operate in us and the end of that operation is death.
• Psalm 103:3 says, “Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals
[each one of] all your diseases.” JESUS IS OUR DELIVERER! Amen! As we repent
and Jesus forgives us, we can also know from His Word that righteousness comes
through the bloodline!
• Psalm 103:17 says, “But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from
everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him,
and His righteousness is to children’s children.” Don’t misunderstand – our children
are NOT saved just because we are. However, the righteousness of God does pass
through the bloodline and we receive blessings because our ancestors loved God.

As the Word of God tells us, the curses are placed upon us and can pass down
through the bloodline. So we do not have to sin to have a curse placed upon us. For
example, witchcraft carries a 3 or 4 generational curse. That is 160 years. Do you
know what your great, great, great grandparents did while they were alive? Visit a
fortuneteller, read tea leaves, did voodoo, and the list goes on. Most of us do not
know specific things that they did, but Jesus does, and that is why we break these
curses even if we do not know for sure if anyone in our ancestors committed the

sins. We believe it is better to be safe than sorry. Satan comes to kill, steal and
destroy – the job of the demons are to do these very things to us.

LIST OF CURSES TO BREAK BEFORE

DELIVERANCE.
• Curse of Incest and Whoredom
• Illegitimacy in Children. (Deut 23)
• Curse of Murder (Cain’s Curse)
• Curse of Idolatry and Anathema (this is when you take on the curse of
cursed objects you bring into your home and you then become a cursed object.)
• Curse of Witchcraft (any form such as horoscopes, using psychics, fortune
telling in all forms)
• Curse of Jezebel and Ahab – controlling spirits in women and passive, weak
characters in men (see 1 Kings Chapter 16 for more on Jezebel & Ahab)
• Curse of Meroz – That is when you do not take up your sword and fight the
enemy – read Ephesians 6
• Curse of Asa – the king who went to physicians first instead of to the Lord
first, replacing the supernatural with the natural – Seek God first and He may tell
you to go to a doctor or he will likely heal you!
• Curse of Rebellion – teenagers are often under this curse and it is followed
with a lack of respect for authority
• Curse of Bitterness – diseases can manifest in the form of arthritis and
cancer because of bitterness – Same with Anger. It can eat you up disease wise.
• Curse of Burning Incense to other gods – smoking cigarettes, reefer, lots
of candles, burning lots of incense, etc…
• Curse of Infirmity / Sickness / Disease / Death – the function of the devil
and his demons is to steal, kill and destroy, he will try to destroy our bodies
• Curses listed in Deuteronomy 28 – go to chapter 28: 15-68, read each curse
and break it

 BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES
Generational curses are curses that are passed down through the family lineage.
Unforgiven sins from parents, grandparents are inherited but the curses can also
be broken through deliverance. In the book of Lamentations 5:7 the Bible teaches
that “Our fathers have sinned, and are not (have passed away); and we have
borne their iniquities.”

• Leviticus 26:40 – “If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of
their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also
they have walked contrary to me;”

Jesus taught that his followers that we have his authority to cast out devils and
break generational curses. He said in Luke 4:18 that “The Spirit of the Lord is upon
me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent
me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.”

When Jesus sent out his followers, he gave them his authority and power for
deliverance.

• Mark 16:15-18 – And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world and preach
the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but
he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow those that
believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues,
they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt
them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.”

The following verses from the Bible show how generational curses are formed and
how they can be broken.

• Isaiah 53:4-5 – Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet
we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for
our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our

peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Powerful verse for
healing)
• Exodus 20:3-5 – Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not
make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven
above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God
am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the
third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
• Psalm 31:10 – For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my
strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
• Matthew 24:12-13 – And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall
wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
• Psalms 68:6 – God sets up the solitary in families: he brings out those which
are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
• Hebrews 1:9 – Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore
God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
• Ephesians 2:1-2 – And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses
and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the
children of disobedience:
• Colossians 2:13-15 – And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision
of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all
trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which
was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having
spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over
them in it.

THE ACTUAL COMMANDS FOR DELIVERANCE

A typical deliverance & healing prayer is not actually a prayer. It is a series of

commands issued by those in authority. The following shows a break-down of this
process of commanding out a unclean spirit, aka demon, aka evil spirit, using the
power and authority Jesus gave us in Luke 10:19, Matthew 10:1 and Apostle Paul
declared in Ephesians 1:21
(You should have these three scriptures memorized by now  )

1. The ultimate authority that forces the evil spirit to go = the name of Jesus
Christ. Lk.10:17 “Even the Demons are subject to US in your name”. What name?
The name of Jesus Christ
Example: “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you …”

2. The command – Hence the verbal out loud demonstration of your authority
over demons - “…I command you…”

1. The one to whom the command is directed: the evil spirit “…you spirit of
depression” (Ideally, the spirit is commanded by his name or area of torment [for
example, Spirit of hate, Spirit of lust, self-pity, etc….etc…)

2. What are you commanding the spirit to do? - (tell the evil spirit to come
out, manifest, tell you their name, tell you their area of torment, go to the pit or
to King Jesus for judgment) “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to tell me
your name and area of torment right now in the mighty name of Jesus”

3. WHEN the spirit is to go - “I command you to go to the pit RIGHT

NOW…. In the name of mighty Jesus…..” (You want no delay in the demons leaving
so you tell them to leave now…NOT tomorrow!)

4. Where the spirit is to go – (I send them to the pit, but you can refer them
to King Jesus) “I command you to go to the PIT right now or wherever Jesus
chooses to send you.”

 FORMS OF MANIFESTATIONS

Once you begin deliverance be on the look-out for various forms of

Manifestations. They take various forms, but the most common ones are:

1. Yawning
2. Coughing
3. Burping
4. Gas Passing
5. Tears & Crying
6. Screaming
7. Sneezing
8. Nasal discharge
9. Spitting & Foaming
10. Vomiting
11. Choking
12. Barking
13. Growling
14. Groaning & Moaning
15. Quacking – (YES, quacking!)
16. Shaking and Sweating
17. Diarreha aka “The Runs”

You can tell whether the Spirits have left through:

1. The deliverance minister’s discernment

2. The victim’s discernment (do not discount, but test often – 1 John 4:2)
1. Good old fashioned human observation-Hence, their countenance changes
drastically! (Example: they go from gagging to not gagging…etc…)
2. Holy Spirit Discernment – Most Important!

 DEEPER TRAINING – LEGAL RIGHTS,
MULTIPLE PERSONALITY, INNER HEALING &
MORE
How to use the prayers in this section:
Before having anyone pray these prayers, spend time with them to build a
relationship. Try to determine what is the cause of their problem. The surface
manifestations are only the "leaves on the tree." Keep digging until you find the
root of the problem. This will be an area that has given Satan a right to harass
them. Spend time building trust with those to whom you minister. Do not use these
prayers as a ritual to take people through because that will not work.
Trust the Holy Spirit to lead you when to take counselees through these prayers. I
have found, by experience, that an average of three prayers per session is enough.
Allow the counselee plenty of time to go through each prayer. Explain each prayer
thoroughly before having them pray the prayer. Much information can be gathered
as they discuss and pray these prayers.
Sometimes, I have people take the prayers home and pray prayer No. 1 daily until
our next session together. This technique will start to bring the truth to the
surface and then you will have something to work with.

Please Note:
The terms demon, evil spirit and spirits of darkness, are used interchangeably
because they are all the same entity. Can a Christian have a demon? This question
always comes up with Christians. A Christian cannot be possessed by a demon
because their spirit is possessed by the Holy Spirit. Humans are three part beings.
See Genesis 2:7, "The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." God
created a three part being. God took the dust of the ground and made the body or
flesh. He breathed the breath of life into man which is the spirit part. When the
spirit came into that body of flesh, it produced a soul. The soul or mind is the
thinking and reasoning part of humans. The soul or mind is where the will, intellect
and emotions reside. Demons attack and attach themselves to the minds of people
to control their will and torment their emotions. Can you see why the Bible says
that Satan is after the souls (minds) of men? Satan will try to block a person who
is seeking God or get them put away in a mental hospital.

Jesus came to set the captives free, Luke 4:18-19.

Often demons, will gain control of a person's mind. Without God's intervention, the
person cannot distinguish the Holy Spirit from the voice of the flesh or demons.
Satan will keep them so tormented with condemning voices that they will give up.
Demons speak lies and manifest hate and seduction through the person. Even a
Christian! This often drives away the very people who have come to help them.
With this demonic interference, a Christian is in no condition to do God's work!
People look at their behavior and say, "If that's a Christian, I don't want any of
that." Jesus came to set the captive free and sent us to do the same! See Mark
16:17-20. These prayers were developed in the process of setting hundreds of
people free.

It is important to note there are some basic conditions to having these prayers
work. Jesus died for our sins and became a curse for us so that we would be free.
This does not automatically stop all the curses and troubles the enemy is able to
work in a person's life. They have to individually appropriate what Jesus did on the
cross into their own lives and situations.

Praying these prayers in faith, with a repentant heart, will bring about the desired
results. There is a basic requirement one have a personal relationship with Jesus
not only as Savior, but Lord, too. It is very important to be water baptized (Acts
2:38). Explain to counselees the importance of water baptism and the baptism in
the Holy Spirit. They will need this Holy Spirit power to do effective spiritual
warfare. Explain that they may experience some difficulty in praying these
prayers. The enemy of their souls and demonic forces will interfere. This
interference will stop them from reading or speaking these words and gaining their
freedom. These prayers contain large amounts of biblical truths. Scripture has a
powerful effect in the spirit realm when confessed aloud. THIS IS SPIRITUAL
WARFARE!

Observe them. Note any stumbling at words, skipping words or full lines, blanking
out of their minds, confusion, dizziness, or pains in their heads. They may hear
voices telling them something like, "This is stupid," "Don't trust this person" or
"Run out of the room." They may refuse or not be able to say certain parts of the
prayers. If they fight you over doctrine or leave out words or phrases, this could
indicate that you may be coming up against a demon. The demon may be blocking
them to keep them from doing this. This indicates a spiritual attack.

 Write Down the specific areas that are being attacked!

Note if they refuse to say certain parts of these prayers. The type of
interference encountered is important information for your future work with them.
This gives you some insight as to which spirits are operating or what this person
has been involved in. These people must be taught to stand strong and do spiritual
warfare.

(Ephesians 6:10-18).

Assure them that they are not going crazy by getting all this interference. This
interference is just a tactic of demonic spirits. Explain that this interference is
normal and it happens to everyone in some way. Look especially for the operating of
spirits of doubt, confusion, rebellion, witchcraft, mind control, fear, etc. When you
see these spirits manifest, then you can do spiritual warfare against these spirits.
Pray for them, laying hands on their head and softly and with authority, rebuking
those interfering spirits.

Before praying for them or touching them, get their permission. Explain exactly
what you will do, ie., hold their hand, anoint their forehead with oil, etc. Tell them
that you will not touch them or anoint them without their permission. Touch can be
very frightening and noxious to sexual abuse and satanic ritual survivors and they
may not be able to tolerate it. Before laying hands on anyone, plead the Blood of
Jesus over yourself for your protection. Spirits can transfer through touch. This
is spiritual warfare and you need to listen to what the Holy Spirit is telling you.
The Holy Spirit is there to help you. Listen to His leading or watch for a "check" in
Your spirit. If you are in prayer, the Holy Spirit will warn you when there is a
danger of demonic transfer. Note: spirits cannot enter you without an opening in
your life. Counselors need to deal with their own issues before ministering
deliverance to others!

Although the spirit cannot enter you, they can attach or rest on the outside and
cause quite a few problems if allowed. If this happens, just rebuke the spirit and
command it to leave in Jesus' name. Anointing with oil and prayer can have a
powerful positive effect on a person. Ask the Holy Spirit to help them make it
through these prayers and this work. Speak in a normal, quiet voice, ministering to
them with love and gentleness. It is so important to put them at ease when they

start to experience interference. Tell them, "Don't be disturbed by this, just
relax."

However, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THIS IS

HAPPENING." Ask them to tell you about the interference when it happens. Then
pray for them. You can say, "I bind all spirits that are interfering. I command
you to stop your interference in Jesus' name." Wait a few minutes for the
interfering spirits to stop. Before you do this, explain to the person what you are
going to do. Explain that you are not speaking to them but to the spirits. Tell them
to wait a few minutes for the prayer to take effect. Tell them you are not going to
exercise power over them, but only over the spirits.
Tell the person to let you know when it feels like the interference, tightness or
cloudiness in their mind has let up and their mind is clear. Sometimes, it is helpful
to have the counselee look directly at you, keeping their eyes open while you are
binding the spirits. Do everything you can to make the person feel safe. You want
to empower the counselee and have them work with you in this process.

A little about multiple personality disorder:

If this is a person with known Multiple Personality Disorder, be sure to explain to

them and their alters that you are not talking to the parts, but to interfering
spirits. Before commanding any spirits to leave a person with MPD, ask the host
personality to go inside and have some caretaking part make sure all the little child
alters are in a safe place.

Evil spirits often torment and scare the child alters. A clue to demonic activity in a
multiple is a sudden shift in the internal system. One day, all the parts are peaceful
and working together; the next day, there is chaos or fear everywhere.
If you have worked with the system and befriended a child part, speak to that
part. Ask the child part if it knows, sees or senses anything that is evil or
frightening. They will give you some indication if an evil spirit is operating. They
may just describe what they are feeling, sensing or seeing.

Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. Try to determine if what you are observing is
something a demon would do. Often the Holy Spirit will tell you that what you are
observing is being caused by a demon. What you see happening to the person will be
a clue to the nature of the spirits operating in the internal system. Not all they are

experiencing is due to demonic forces. Some cult programming or cult loyal alters
may be coming to the surface. You will have to depend on the Holy Spirit's
guidance.

As you work with a person, tell them to just relax and help make them as
comfortable as possible. Speak gently and confidently and explain that they will
make it through if they will persevere. This will keep a spirit of fear from troubling
them or getting an advantage. Remind them, Greater is He (the Holy Spirit), than
he that is in the world." Watch the person's body language while praying these
prayers. They may exhibit rebellious postures or a spirit or alter may act through
the person. How they cooperate with you will give you some sign of their humility
and determination to be free. If you continue to get resistance even after binding
the spirits, you may be coming against their own human will. People unconsciously
resist because of their woundedness.

Some people may have been in a false religion or under a controlling religious cult
leader. Some have suffered psychological mind control programming, electric shock
and Satanic Ritual Abuse.

These people fear being manipulated and re-abused. They could have been
programmed to fear punishment by the cult if they went to a minister or counselor.
They may have been abused by a minister or counselor. It is not unusual for them
to be set up by the cult, then caught and punished for going to someone for help.
Handle them with utmost care and loving kindness. They may be afraid to pray
these prayers at the first session because of all the betrayal in their life. They
have been abandoned so often that it's hard for them to trust and connect. If you
persevere, you will win them over with love. You have to treat them like Jesus
would treat them. Be patient, loving and go SLOW!

Be aware of any occult, New Age or odd jewelry that they might be wearing,
especially if it contains cryptic symbols. Certain jewelry can give rights to demons
to interfere with the work you are doing. When demons have a legal right to a

person, the demons will tell you that they don't have to leave. A sure sign of a
curse, pact or dedication is when the demon says, "He belongs to me." Ask the
person if they ever made a vow, pact or dedication. They need to repent of the
vow, pact or dedication and ask God to forgive them. After they do this you can
command any spirits that came in with the vow, to leave. This is covered in detail in
Prayer No. 7, "Breaking Satanic Dedications and Blood Covenants." The issue is not
just getting free, but taking responsibility for their lives.

Once they are free they must be willing to do effective spiritual warfare to remain
free. If they are not ready to do this type of work, you will be wasting your time!
Let them know that this is a learning experience and a time of training in spiritual
warfare. If the person continues to be difficult to work with, they may not be
committed to being set free. You are there for them and if they don't want to
work on their issues, that is their choice. Don't waste your time trying to make
someone do what they don't want to do. Challenge them at some point, but do it in
love. If they could be free on their own, they would not be with you.

Counselees must cooperate with you. They must exercise some faith and trust in
you and that may take time to develop. God is not in a rush. These prayers are
effective when a person exercises faith in God's promises. This is not mechanical.
I have experienced God's power come upon a person when they trusted me and
trusted God. No demon can stand against the Word of God.
If a person continues to resist then they are not ready. They are having demonic
interference or have some kind of theological block.

Give them some good books to read on sanctification, spiritual warfare and their
position in Christ. This will help them build their faith so they can do this work.
Two excellent books are: "The Bondage Breaker," by Neil T. Anderson, Regal Books,
1990, "Victory Over Darkness," by Neil T. Anderson, Harvest House Publisher,
1990. An excellent book for protecting and equipping children is "The Seduction of
Our Children" by Neil T. Anderson and Steve Russo, Harvest House Publishers,
Eugene, OR, 1992.

The Deliverer’s Prayer For Protection During Deliverance - This is prayer you
pray before a deliverance session...

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before Your throne with (person's name), as Your
child, washed in the Blood of Jesus. I ask You to give me the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the
fear of the Lord. Make me of quick understanding so I do not judge by what I see
with my eyes or hear with my ears, but by what Your Holy Spirit reveals to me.
(Isaiah 11:2-3). I claim the blood of Jesus over me and (person's name), for our
protection. I proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord here and this is holy ground. I take
authority in this place, in the name of Jesus and the power of His blood and Word,
and command all evil spirits, in this building, in the air, the waterway, fire (if there
is a fireplace), or in the electric, to leave this property now and never return. I
claim this room sealed in the name and authority of Jesus. I bind and forbid any
evil spirit on the outside from having any knowledge or influence in this room. I
forbid all evil spirits from interfering in any way in this time of prayer and
ministry. Now, I ask You, Father, to surround this place with Your warrior angels,
linked together all around this building so no evil will come near this dwelling. Please
fill this place with ministering angels. We would like You Father, to send special
warrior angels in times of deliverance to take the demons and familiar spirits to
their destiny. Please put an angel on the roof with a flaming sword, proclaiming
that, "The battle is the Lords', but the victory is ours!" Amen.

I usually thank Jesus for His presence and ask Him to be Lord over this ministry
and all that is done here...then ask the Holy Spirit to help us and anoint this time
of ministry so we can do the work that Jesus wants us to do....

Every so often it is helpful to anoint a building from time to time. Anoint all the
doors and windows going to the outside. Afterward, command all evil spirits out of
the building in Jesus' name. Then ask the Father to send in ministering angels and
warrior angels around the outside of the building.

Prayer No. 1
The Deliveree’s 1st Prayer - RENOUNCING DECEPTION AND SEEKING TRUTH…

Dear Heavenly Father, Your word tells me that You desire truth in my inner being.
You will cause me to know wisdom and have understanding. Your word, also tells me
that the heart of a person is deceitful and I may not always understand or know
what is going on in my heart, my innermost being. I now make a decision to have You
reveal to me the hidden motives and secrets of my heart. Jesus said, "Satan is the

father of lies and a deceiver who is always trying to deceive me into believing lies."
At times, I have believed Satan's lies and deceived myself by avoiding the truth
and being in denial. In the past, I was hurt, rejected, betrayed, made powerless or
abused. At times, I may have made a choice to live in a fantasy world to escape pain
or loneliness. This fantasy world was a deception, that I believed to escape painful
reality. Other times, I chose to forget, to suppress, to split or mentally separate
myself from the painful memories or events. These past hurts were more than I
could bear. So I buried or forgot them with all of the anger, unforgiveness and
vows made against myself and others. I understand that this is part of my life
story and by denying their reality, I deny a part of myself. These vows and
unforgiveness are giving the enemy an entrance way into my life and body and a
spiritual, legal right to harass, afflict, control or drive me in compulsive, ungodly
ways.
I now reject this false life and choose to live in truth and in the light. I choose
NOT to live in a myth or lie concerning my past. With God's help, I will work on
these hurts, unforgiveness and vows, and come to know myself. I do not want these
vows coming upon me or others. I now make a choice to turn from this hidden life
and close all these doorways in Jesus' name. I take authority in Jesus' name and I
rebuke and command all deceiving spirits to leave me now. I know that You, Father,
are a discerner of the heart. I ask You to reveal to me and to Your servant who is
ministering to me, the nature of these hidden hurts, pain, anger, vows, lies or sins
in my life. I now choose to face the truth and NOT live in denial. I acknowledge
that I cannot do this in my own strength. I look to You, Jesus, for Your help in my
healing and deliverance. I ask You to search me, O God and know my heart, test me
and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me
in thy way everlasting. Amen.

Prayer No.2
The Deliveree’s 2nd Prayer - CONFESSION OF FAITH AND MY POSITION IN
CHRIST…
Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge there is only one true and living God who
exists as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I recognize Christ Jesus as the
Son of the Living God, the word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus, you
are worthy to receive glory, honor and power for You have created all things and in
You, all things have their being. Father God, You have proved Your love for me
because when I was lost in sin and rebellion, Your Son, Jesus Christ, died for me. I
was saved by Your grace. This was a gift from You and not the results of any works
on my part. When I accepted You, Jesus, as my Savior, You forgave all my sins. All

charges that were against me were nailed to the cross and canceled; therefore,
the devil has nothing with which to accuse me. You redeemed me from the kingdom
of darkness, translating me to Your kingdom. Now I am made right with God.
Without You, Lord Jesus, I can do nothing. I am dependent on You. When I was
saved, my spirit came to life and is now under the control of the Holy Spirit.
Father, I want to conform to the image of Your Son.
Jesus, You came to set the captives free, those bound by sin, psychic or occult
powers. I declare that it is God's truths that will set me free. Jesus, You have all
authority in heaven and on earth. You have conquered and disarmed all evil
principalities and powers. You made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over
them by the cross. Now I am seated with You in heavenly places. In You, Jesus, I
have authority over Satan and all his demons and they are subject to me. I stand
strong in You, Lord Jesus, and resist Satan and all his evil schemes. Jesus, I am
covered and protected by Your precious blood. I will use my spiritual weapons,
which are mighty in God, to tear down all strongholds of the enemy in my life. I
bind and rebuke all evil spirits and powers of darkness that would seek to interfere
with this time of ministry. I bind specifically the spirits of doubt, deception,
unbelief, confusion, mind control and fear. I loose myself from your control. I
renounce all counterfeit gifts and works of Satan in my life. I take my position in
Christ and command you, Satan, and all your demons to leave me now in Jesus'
name. I declare that You, Jesus, are my Lord and my God. I look only to You, Jesus,
as my deliverer and healer. You know all my special needs and concerns. I claim
Your word which says, "All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be set free." I
call on You now, Lord Jesus Christ, to set me free.
Father, I accept Your word as my standard for righteousness and daily living. I will
study Your word and renew my mind by that living word. Father, You say, "As a man
thinketh in his heart, so is he." I now take control of my thought life and stand
against Satan's deceptions and lies. I take every thought captive in obedience to
Christ. I choose to walk in the light and truth because the truth will set me free. I
choose to give up trying to run my own life. I put no confidence in my flesh. Father,
I trust myself to Your care, as much as I can at this time. Please help me Father,
to trust You more and come to truly know You. Dear Holy Spirit, I ask You to help
me in this time of prayer and ministry. Please reveal to me every area of my life
that has been given over to the enemy. I choose to humble myself and share
whatever God reveals to me. I choose to crucify my flesh and walk by the guidance
of the Holy Spirit. I will not give into the desires of my flesh. I will present my
body as an instrument of righteousness, a living and holy sacrifice, which is my

spiritual duty. Holy Spirit, I ask You to guide me to all truth and empower me to
live above sin, in Jesus' name. Amen.

FORGIVENESS - Explain to the counselee before praying for forgiveness the

following…. (This is a training section)

As children of God, we are to forgive like Christ forgave us. Our example is that
Jesus forgave those who were crucifying Him as He hung on the cross. At times,
the results of other people's sins come upon us.

Examples are sexual and ritual abuse, rape, and incest, parents killed by a drunk
driver, war, or natural disaster.

These events wound us to our very core. This often happens as a small child. At
that time in our lives, we do not have the ability to understand what is happening to
us. That makes it very difficult to cope with the stress or trauma. Through
unforgiveness, we become bound to the offender(s) and the painful memory will not
heal. Unless we forgive and release the offender(s), we will continue to recall the
hurt, rejection and betrayal. We will continue to feel pain, be angry and often
depressed. Some people harbor unforgiveness for years after the person who hurt
them has died. The perpetrator may be dead 30 or more years and the survivor is
still tormented today by what this person did. It is like a chain linking them to the
offender.

These people are often tormented by demonic forces. God's word in Matthew
18:34-35 (KJV) tells us that we will be delivered over to the tormentors if we
don't forgive. Pain and hurtful memories will start to heal after forgiveness.
Sometimes, the hurtful memory will be completely erased. We must let go of any
unforgiveness to have peace and healing.

Forgiveness is not an emotion or feeling but an act of our will. It is making a heart
decision to let go of our right to make the offender pay. It is trusting God to deal
with them in His way. Forgiveness and forgetting are not same.

Forgiveness is a real event.

Forgiveness and restitution are not the same thing The only way to be free is to
forgive and release the person(s) who caused pain or harm. After we forgive and
release them, we are in a place to receive healing.

Christians understand that unforgiveness will hinder healing and open them to the
tormentors. The pain often decreases as we let go. “ Sometimes, there is grieving
to be done for the losses we have suffered. Grieving is necessary and should be
done. Healing is a process and it takes time. Be sure to teach on grieving and allow
the people enough time to grieve their loss.

There is a law of sowing and reaping. Matt. 7:1 This is a block to receiving healing
and forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, He will forgive ALL our sins and cleanse us
from all unrighteous....” Often we don’t recognize we have anger or unforgiveness.
Some have been forgotten or suppressed or even dissociated away. Sometimes we
keep the anger (unforgiveness) because we have power or it is useful.

Sometimes physical problems are results of unforgiveness; arthritis, heart trouble,

poor sleep and nervous conditions. They have to choose life. Sometimes we have to
forgive 50 times a day to get it from our head to our heart. It is a process of
renewing the mind and thinking in a new way. The Devil will stop tormenting you
about the person you have forgiven if you continuously forgive them when they
come to mind. You have to forgive first, and then you can receive. But if your
enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink, for in so doing you
will heap burning coals upon his head. Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil
with good. (Romans 12: 20-21)

About Praying the Forgiveness Prayer – (The prayer is below) Have the deliveree
pray the forgiveness prayer... Afterwards, tell them to get quiet. Have them close
their eyes and tell you the names that come to their mind. Remind them that they
asked the Holy Spirit to bring the names to mind. They do not have to try to think
up names or try to force names to come, but get quiet and allow the Holy Spirit to
bring the names to them. It is alright if they don't know why they have to forgive
a person. You only need the first name of the offender and not what the person
did. Later when they begin to forgive a person, the Holy Spirit will bring to their
memory what that person has done. Then, if they cannot recall what that person
did, then have them forgive the person anyway and let them go. It is better to
forgive and be free from the tormentors than to hold on to that unforgiveness.
This is still their choice. They may tell you, "I have already forgiven that person."
Remind them that the Holy Spirit is to bring to their mind anyone they have to
forgive. Tell them, "Let's believe that you received this name from the Holy Spirit
and we will discuss the other issues later. For now, just listen for more names." At

this point, you will get some idea if this person is rebellious or in a humble state. If
you allow them to start recalling a painful event at this point, they could get stuck
on one event. Many names that would have come to their mind will be missed.

If there is a very traumatic memory that has to be worked through, then it may be
better to work through that memory first. As the memory is worked through,
there will come a place where the person can pray for forgiveness of the
perpetrator. As you listen to the Holy Spirit, you will know when to do that. As the
names come forth, write the names down. Encourage them to continue to listen to
the Holy Spirit for more names. Sometimes, the person may only get a face in their
mind, but that face will be connected to a hurtful event. God knows whom the face
belongs to. Then just write down a note about the face. When it is time to forgive,
they can say, "The person whose face I see, I forgive you in Jesus' name." Explain
that often we forgive people, but later we remember what the person did and start
to feel the pain again.

If we dwell on what that person did, we can get back in unforgiveness. Sometimes
we have to forgive a person 50 times a day until the forgiveness moves from our
head down into our heart. Forgiveness is a heart attitude.
When they are not getting any more names, then add their name and God to the
end of your list of people they have to forgive. The Bible tells us to love our
neighbors as ourselves. We must forgive ourselves for how we have acted in the
past and the vows we put on ourselves or others. As for forgiving God, God has not
done anything wrong. However, sometimes God does not perform the way we think
He ought to or as quickly as we would like. At times, God doesn't give us what we
want.

This causes people to get angry with God and have unforgiveness in their hearts
towards God. This unforgiveness and anger at God puts a wall between the person
and God. Now that person is separated from the very One that can help and heal
them. God wants to fellowship with us. God has laws and God has given everyone a
free will. God can't break the laws because people want Him to change events.

In times of violence and abuse, God cannot change the perpetrator's mind without
taking away his/her free will. God does not want this to happen but if God steps in
and stops the abuser, then it would take away the abuser's free will. If God did
that, we would not have a free will. We would just be mechanical robots. God
expects us to follow His laws and love one another. God gave parents the

responsibility to care for and protect a child. People can be selfish and disobedient
and bring hurt and trauma on others, often innocent children. God will deal with
that perpetrator in His way and He can do it much better then we. We have to let
that person go and turn this quest for revenge and demanding payment over to God.
The counselee has to forgive God for not doing what he or she wanted Him to do,
for not helping him or her at the exact time or in the way he or she thought God
should.

This is very important because it helps them restore fellowship with God. God is
the one that is going to heal them. We cannot fellowship with someone with when
we have unforgiveness and anger towards them. As the person listens for names,
be patient and wait a sufficient time as the Holy Spirit searches their hearts.
When no more names come to his/her mind, explain the next step. Tell him or her
that you are going to give them a name, then you want them to forgive that person
for everything. An example is: "John, I forgive you for (..........)."

Have counselee continue doing this until they have forgiven that person for
everything that the Holy Spirit brings to his/her mind. When they run out of
things to forgive the person for, instruct them to say, "I forgive (the offenders
name) for everything in Jesus' name." This will let you know to go to the next
person on the list of people they have to forgive.

Tell them that you want them to speak the forgiveness aloud. Scripture says that
confession is made with the mouth. If they can't say the forgiveness aloud, then
they may have an unwilling spirit, great shame or an evil spirit hindering them. Pray
for discernment and ask them why they can't say this out loud. Work with them
until they can confess it with their mouth. Scripture says that we are to confess
our sins. God is faithful and just and will forgive us all our sins. Confessing these
sins to you will reduce his/her shame. As long as shame exist, Satan can torment
them.

As a Christian worker, you are responsible for holding all these things you hear, in
confidence. You are operating in the office of a priest and what you hear is to
remain confidential between you and God. Unless you have specific permission from
the person to seek counsel from an elder concerning what has been shared, it
should not be shared with anyone! There are certain state laws that require that a
counselor inform a person when the counselee says that he or she is going to do
them violent bodily harm.

Learning of the sexual abuse of a minor requires the counselor to report that
information to the authorities. The person can be told about this ahead of time.
The counselor or minister can make them aware of these requirements during
counseling. Trust is very important because so many have been betrayed by family,
counselors and clergy. Trust is also important for healing. If the person can't talk
about hurtful issues to you, you may have to spend more time building a trusting
relationship before you deal with forgiveness, etc. Do not be in a rush to get them
through these prayers. Take time to pray and let the Holy Spirit lead you to what,
when and where you minister. Sometimes people come for a quick fix and don't
want to deal with anything inside or certain painful issues. They just want the pain
to go away. You can tell them that the truth will set you free, but the process
could be painful, too. Proper surgery can be painful but we bear the pain because
we know that healing will result.

There are no quick fixes or Band-Aids to be used in this ministry. We need to

explain to them that if they want to be free from pain and torment, it may be
painful for a while. If they persevere, they will get results. If they continue to
resist and debate with you, they may not be ready to work on their healing at this
time. That is their choice. At this point, you may decide to stop ministry until they
are in a receptive and cooperative mood. Your time is important to you and Christ,
so don't waste it. You are the steward of your time. You are responsible for using
your time wisely!

After the person has truly repented and forgiven everyone, they are ready for a
special prayer of absolution. We, as born again believers, have the commission from
Jesus to pronounce absolution for their acts when they repent. Jesus gave this
commission to us in John 20:21- 23. This is for all believers and not just ordained
clergy. (Mark 16:17-18). They can experience absolution as a healing process! You
can say, "I pronounce your sins forgiven, in Jesus' name."

Prayer No.3
PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS
Dear heavenly Father, I thank You for Your love and kindness toward me. It is Your
kindness that has led me to repentance, turning from all my sinful ways and turning
to You. I admit that I have not been kind, patient and loving to others when they
have offended me. I have allowed bitterness and resentment to grow in me,
separating me from others and You, Father. At times, I have forgotten this

unforgiveness in my heart. This unforgiveness festers deep within me, at times
beyond my conscious reach. This affects every aspect of my life and gives the
enemy a right to torment me as stated in Matthew 18. I confess that this
unforgiveness and bitterness is affecting my life and relationships today. Because
of these past hurts, I acknowledge the inability to love or trust others to any
depth. I understand that forgiveness is not an emotion but an act of my will. I now
choose to exercise my will to forgive others as You, Father, have forgiven me.
Father, I know that You are a searcher of the heart. I ask You to search my heart.
Reveal to me any hidden and secret unforgiveness or bitterness toward others that
have hurt or offended me. I choose not to be ruled by a spirit of bitterness. I
choose to forgive and have a spirit of peace and love in my heart. I repent, forgive
and release these people right now. I ask You, Heavenly Father, to forgive me and
restore me as I forgive those who have offended me. Jesus promised that the
Holy Spirit would bring everything to our remembrance. Dear Holy Spirit, I am
asking You to bring to my remembrance anyone I have to forgive and I will forgive
them in Jesus' name. Amen.

DELIVERER'S NOTE:
At this point, I tell them to relax. Have them close their eyes and allow the Holy
Spirit to bring the name to their mind. Have them give you the names as they come
to mind. Explain the issues discussed in the counselor's notes before the
forgiveness prayer.

EXPRESSING OUR NEED FOR GOD

Explain to Deliveree:
We can't have true peace and joy without God. God wants to operate in our lives
and through us to reach the lost world. God will help us and will protect us. Often,
we will become self-reliant and do things our way. The Scriptures says, ". . .all like
sheep have gone astray, each one to his own way. . ." In this condition, we will not
experience righteousness, peace and joy.

Also, this sets us up for spiritual attacks by the powers of darkness. See Ephesians
6:10-18. It is a good thing to be right with God when the attack comes. The attack
may come through a person but it is a spiritual attack. Our battle is not with flesh
and blood (people) and our weapons are not the ones used by the world, but
spiritual. See 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. We need to know how to do effective spiritual
warfare. We must declare our dependence upon God, humbling ourselves and coming

before His presence in humility. God says He hates a proud spirit (Proverbs 6:17
KJV) and a high look is sin (Proverbs 21:4 KJV). He said He will destroy their house
(Proverbs 15:25).

Prayer No. 4
PRAYER TO REPENT FOR HAVING A PROUD SPIRIT
Dear Heavenly Father, Your word says that a proud and arrogant attitude goes
before stumbling. I know that You hate a proud or arrogant spirit. I want to please
You, Father. I do not want to stumble or bring trouble on myself and others. I know
at times, in action and attitude, I have had a proud spirit. Because of my
woundedness, I believed I knew what was best for me. In the past, I tried to run
my life by my own power and resources. I have looked to my own intellect, ability
and strength to be successful. Jesus, I have not denied myself, picked up my cross
daily and followed You. Your word tells me that it is not by might, nor by power, but
by Your Spirit that the victory comes. I have opened the door and given Satan a
place in my life because of this spirit of pride. I now repent of this pride. I also
renounce this effort to be self-sufficient and not trusting or coming to You,
Heavenly Father. I now come to You, humbling myself, and put my trust in Your
mercy and love. It is Your kindness that has led me to repentance. I now CANCEL
all ground or openings to Satan in my life. I PROCLAIM that I am covered with the
blood of Jesus. I PROCLAIM that you, Satan, have no part in me or power over me.
I am a child of God and the Holy Spirit is living within me. I hereby affirm my
dependence on You, Father and the work of Your Holy Spirit. I ask You, dear Holy
Spirit, for Your guidance, wisdom and power to help me overcome the flesh, renew
my mind and live above sin. I will take up my cross daily, denying myself, and live a
life under the control of the Spirit of God. Amen.

REBELLION
Note to counselor:
After praying this prayer, have the person repent and ask forgiveness for rebelling
against: the civil authorities, pastor, husband, employer, etc. Example: "Father, I
repent and ask to be forgiven for speeding." Explain to them that being in rebellion
is the same as playing with witchcraft or the occult. It opens them up to attack by
powers of darkness.

After praying Prayer No. 5, you can help the person deal with any specific issue and
repenting. You can pronounce absolution here, too.

PRAYER TO RENOUNCE REBELLION IN MY LIFE
Dear Heavenly Father, Your word tells me in 1 Samuel 15:23, that rebellion is like
the sin of witchcraft or divination, and that stubbornness is like the sin of
idolatry. You, Father, call rebellion and stubbornness detestable attitudes. I
confess that my actions are a reflection of the attitude of my heart. You say in
Proverbs 23:7, "As a man thinketh in his heart,so is he." At times, I have sinned
against You, Heavenly Father. I sinned by going my own way and doing what I
wanted to do. These actions have opened the door for the enemy to have an
entrance into my life, to harass and attack me. I now confess this rebellious spirit
and humbly repent. I want peace and joy in my heart. Father, I choose to have a
humble and obedient spirit. I reject Satan and all his works in my life and body. I
ask You, dear Holy Spirit, to reveal to me any areas Satan has gained access to or
any hidden rebellion in my heart. I will share this with your servant as You make me
aware of it. I do not want to give Satan any legal right to harass or torment me. I
understand that submission is agreeing and working together with someone to get a
job done. I here and now choose to have a humble spirit and work with Your
servant. In this time of ministry, I will accomplish the work You have called me to
do. I choose to walk in the light and I reject all rebellion. I CANCEL all rights the
enemy claims concerning me. I claim the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus over
every area of my life and mind, in Jesus' name. Amen.

MORAL ISSUES
Notes to counselors on moral issues:
We need to confess and acknowledge the sins of moral rebellion before God and
ask to be forgiven. Moral issues are often one of the easiest ways Satan gains
entrance to our lives and body. These moral sins give Satan a right to attack and
harass us. People often feel shame from breaking moral laws. Because of this
shame, they keep it a secret. Satan uses this secret shame against the person in a
powerful way. This shame causes them to separate from others and God.

It is our responsibility as a priest to our God and King, to have mercy and help
restore them, not reject them. God wants them restored and free from Satan's
control. It is by the grace of God, that we didn't go through that temptation or
succumb to it. Explain that it is best to confess these moral issues to a trusted,
spiritually mature person, not just anyone in the Church. One needs to deal with
these issues, put them away and go on serving Jesus. After a person has repented
and confessed his/her sins, then the counselor can pronounce absolution for him or
her.

It is also our responsibility as priests and ministers of God to keep the information
shared to ourselves. We are not to uncover our brother and sister's nakedness to
others. God will deal with us for that. They do not have to go into detail about what
they have done. They know what they have done and so does God. When they
repent and confess it, calling it what it is, God will forgive and restore them.
Absolution can be pronounced, after repentance of their sin.

Prayer No. 6
DEALING WITH MORAL ISSUES
Dear Heavenly Father, Your word tells me in Galatians 5:17, that my flesh lusts or
wars against my spirit. I am not to gratify the lusts of my flesh. I put on the Lord
Jesus Christ. I will walk by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Father, You know at
times, I struggle with the temptation to gratify the desires of my flesh. I
understand that lust is saying, "I must have this at once." Much of this battle is in
my mind and thought life. Because of my loneliness and inner pain at times, I may
have entertained lustful fantasies in my mind and thoughts. This only increased the
desire to gratify my flesh. At times, this battle has been more than I could stand
and I have given in to the lust of my flesh. I ask You, Father, reveal to me any ways
in which I have broken your moral laws.
Father, I am truly sorry. I repent and ask You to forgive me. I acknowledge that all
my sins are forgiven in Christ. I repent and cancel all access to my life by evil
spirits. I claim the blood of Jesus over me as my protection. I command all evil
spirits that have entered my body or mind, to leave me now in Jesus' name. I now
make a new commitment to guard my eyes and take every thought captive in
obedience to Christ. I will walk by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I will work to
take control of my body and renew my mind, not giving into fleshly lusts. I will
depend on the Holy Spirit to help me accomplish this, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Counselor's note on moral issues:

You need to ask them if there is any moral issue that came to their minds for
which they need to repent. Absolution can be pronounced after repentance of their
sins.

BREAKING SATANIC DEDICATION AND BLOOD COVENANTS

Counselor's note:
Take every person through this prayer, regardless. Everyone may not be ready to

go through this prayer in the first few visits. With ritual abuse survivors, it would
be wise to first build a relationship with the person. Ritual survivors usually have
been betrayed by every person they ever trusted and you are no different from
the rest. It will take time for them to trust you, little by little. They are also
feeling a tremendous amount of shame and guilt for what they have done so go very
slow and let them lead. Follow the Holy Spirit's guidance. With ritual abuse
survivors, you need to get the support of as many internal alters as possible before
taking the host or any part through this prayer. You can explain to the internal
system why it is necessary to go through this prayer, if you have a relationship
with the system. If not, have the host go inside an explain this to the internal
system. The host can ask the helper parts to protect the little ones or take them
to a safe place. Then they can take steps to ensure the safety of the internal
system and the child alters.

You may have to bind any spirits that can cause flashbacks of the rituals. One
indication of a problem is when they start to pray, flashbacks start. It should be
noted that a flashback can be caused by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and can
occur in abuse, trauma and war survivors. This can also be from an alter that is
afraid or from an evil spirit. Take time to investigate what is happening. Read the
book listed on MPD.

It is important to know what is causing the problem so you can stop it. You want to
stop it but not do any damage in the process. You will need to pray for discernment.

You may have to do some spiritual warfare and pray the "Rule of the Victor" prayer
before proceeding. Details about the" Rule of the Victor" prayers are found in
notes to Prayer No. 9.

Note, spiritual warfare or binding spirits does not always have to be done out loud.
It is effective if done very low or even spoken internally. If the person does not
have a problem with binding spirits and spiritual warfare, then by all means do it
aloud and have them agree. Most ritual survivors are multiples, (people who have
Multiple Personality Disorder). The term Multiple Personality Disorder has been
changed to Dissociative Identity Disorder and may be a better term to use with
the counselee.

Those with Multiple Personality Disorder or ritual abuse survivors, require special
care. Caution is always the way to go in all these cases. An alter personality is a

split in the mind and NOT a DEMON. If you don't know the difference between an
alter an a demon, then check with someone who has experience with multiplicity
and dissociation. If you continue trying to cast an alter out of a multiple, much
damage can result and healing is hindered for some time. Their trust will also be
damaged. The message to them is that the Church doesn't understand or care.
Also, if you know the person is a ritual abuse survivor and you are not sure exactly
what to do, then consult with someone experienced in that area. Most non-
ritualized survivors of sexual abuse usually do not have a problem with this prayer.
Satanic dedications can happen to anyone with or without their knowledge, often as
a baby or young child. Most people do not know what took place in their lives as
very young children. Someone in the family or relatives may have said evil or occult
prayers over him/her when they were babies.

Often, cults are part of the family heritage and have gone on for generations. The
family does not see any problem with "passing on the heritage." However, this sets
the child up for demonic attack and entanglement later in life. Someone may have
made a financial agreement in exchange for some of the baby's blood or dedicated
the baby to a false god or Satan. There may have been a dedication before the
child was born. Some are cultural rituals as with the American Indians, Pennsylvania
Dutch "pow-wow" healers, Spanish Santeria cults, etc. They pray or make
dedications to demonic spirit powers.

There are many initiation rites and ceremonies in secret societies that bring
curses on people. It is believed that initiation into Mormonism has pacts and vows
that can hold a person in bondage and open them to demonic attacks. These need to
be renounced and repentance made. Some believe they are actually making a
dedication to the Lord God, Yahweh, but they are deceived.

Some parents will take their children to psychic or occult healers when doctors fail
them. These methods of healing are satanic and call upon demonic powers for the
healing. Satan never gives anything away. He will take off physical sickness and give
them mental torment. This often does not show up until some time later.
Children make a blood packs or cut themselves in play, becoming "blood brothers or
sisters," copying what they have seen on TV. These activities can have a lasting
damaging effect on the participants and their descendants. You can tell the
counselee that it is best to be safe and pray this prayer, just in case someone has
prayed over them without their knowledge. They don't want to leave any unknown
doorways open through which Satan can attack. Explain that only one part of this

prayer may apply to them, but we don't know which is the part for them, so have
them pray the entire prayer.

Blood pacts, vows and oaths must be renounced and broken. These activities place
curses on the participants and open them to torment by evil spirits. Many times,
this is done "just for fun" or "it really didn't mean anything." Satan takes a
different view of coming to his kingdom for help and will use it as an opportunity to
gain evil control over a person. The Lord GOD, Yahweh, also takes a different view
of taking part in these activities, see Exodus 20:3-4 and Deuteronomy 18:9-13.

Counselors can have the person pray, renounce and cancel the effects of these
curses and dedications. This process is crucial for freedom. After the person has
prayed, have them command all spirits that came in with the curses, pacts or
dedications to leave in Jesus' name. Afterwards, the person can submit all those
areas of themselves to God for cleansing by the Blood of Jesus. Pray for the Holy
Spirit to fill all places where the spirits were.

Prayer No. 7
THE PRAYER TO BREAK SATANIC DEDICATION AND BLOOD COVENANTS
I RENOUNCE ever signing my name over to Satan or having my name signed over to
Satan. I ANNOUNCE that my name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I
RENOUNCE any ceremony where I may have been wed to Satan, and I ANNOUNCE
that I am the Bride of Christ. I RENOUNCE all satanic assignments, covenants,
pacts and dedications that I made with Satan, or that were made for me. I
ANNOUNCE that I am a partaker of the new covenant with Christ. I now REPENT
for ever cutting myself or giving my blood for any assignments, ceremonies or
covenants with Satan. (Stop here and renounce any specific pacts remembered, like
childhood cutting and mixing of blood with your best friend to be brothers or
sisters.) I RENOUNCE any taking of or use of my blood for satanic rituals before I
was old enough to be aware of it. I CONFESS and RENOUNCE all blood pacts or
covenants. I REJECT AND RENOUNCE all curses and assignments made for me or
by me for the service of Satan. I trust only in the shed Blood of my Lord, Jesus
Christ and what He accomplished on the cross. I look to the Holy Spirit for
guidance. I RENOUNCE ever eating of flesh, or drinking of blood, for satanic
worship. I eat only the flesh and drink only the blood of my Lord, Jesus Christ, in
Holy Communion, which I understand by faith and was commanded by Jesus to do in
remembrance of Him and His sacrifice for me. (Luke 22:17-19). I RENOUNCE all
guardians and surrogate parents assigned to me by Satanists. I RENOUNCE all

baptisms, rituals or teachings by Satanists. I ANNOUNCE that I have been
baptized into Christ Jesus and my identity is now in Christ. I RENOUNCE and
REJECT all the demons and familiar spirits placed in me or attached to any part of
me, by Satanists. I REJECT all spirit guides assigned to me. I REJECT and
COMMAND all these evil spirits to leave now in Jesus' name. Father, I ask You in
Jesus' name, to send Your holy angels to take these spirits from me and take them
to their destiny, which You have ordained. I ANNOUNCE that God is my Heavenly
Father and the Holy Spirit is my guardian. By this, I am sealed until the day of my
redemption. I accept only God's assignment for me.1 Amen.

CONFESSION AND DELIVERANCE FROM OCCULT SINS
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You and RENOUNCE all sinful, occult
practices and idolatry of seeking information, knowledge, healing, comfort, identity
or power from any occult, psychic or secret source. I RENOUNCE ever reading
books about the black arts, parapsychology, magic, satanic rituals, including the
Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses, the Satanic Bible, books on false religions, and
other satanic books and writings. I RENOUNCE all sins of divination, including: palm
reading, fortune telling, tarot card reading, tea leaf reading, the crystal ball or
crystal gazing, candle gazing, Ouija Board, ESP, telepathy, horoscopes, automatic
hand writing or spirit writing, astrology, water divining, the rod and pendulum. I
RENOUNCE trance channeling, consulting familiar spirits, clairvoyance,
communication with the dead, séances, consulting counselors from the spirit realm,
consulting wizards, ascended masters, spirit guides, wise masters, fortune tellers,
witches, shamans, mediums or spiritists. I RENOUNCE all demonic, occult or
psychic healing practices, including pow-wow healing, charming to heal, pendulum
healing, magic healing, psychic healing, magnetism or Mesmerism. I RENOUNCE all
use of occult power, casting spells or witchcraft, voodoo, black and white magic,
Santeria and other forms of local witchcraft. I RENOUNCE magical or occult
hypnosis, metaphysics or mind science, yoga, transcendental meditation, sorcery,
astral projection and soul travel, table lifting or levitation, using pyramid power,
mind control, amulets and charms, power crystals and religious medals. I renounce
heavy metal music, satanic rock and black rock, and all demonic role play games,

such as Dungeons and Dragons. I RENOUNCE all secret oaths to pagan gods as part
of initiation ceremony into organization, fraternities, sororities and other
organization which practice these ceremonies. I RENOUNCE being involved in or in
contact with secret lodges or societies such as Free Masonry and their
organizations, the Eastern Star, Rosicrucians, Edgar Cayce's teachings and
readings, Erhard Seminars Training (EST), Scientology, Eastern mysticism,
Spiritism, Christian Science, Jehovah's Witness, Mormonism, Unitarians, The Way,
Unification Church, the New Age and its practices or any religion or organization of
an occult nature. I RENOUNCE and REPENT of ever taking part in any of these
practices or organizations. I ask You Father, to forgive and restore me, in Jesus'
name. Amen.

At this point, stop and the counselor will ask you to repent for occult involvement:
Stop here and have the person name and renounce each occult sin or contact. You
can anoint them and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to them any occult contact. Have
them say, "I renounce (name the occult sin), I repent and ask to be forgiven, in
Jesus' name." Do this for each occult contact. Stay here until they have renounced
all the occult sins that they can remember. When they have repented of all the
occult contacts, have them pray the following prayer.

PRAYER OF CLEANSING FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE OCCULT:

Dear Heavenly Father, I have CONFESSED all these occult sins of seeking from
Satan, the help that should come only from You. I repent of all these sins of
occultism, idolatry and any oath I may have made to any false gods and ask to be
forgiven. I REPENT for seeking aid, knowledge, power or comfort from the
kingdom of darkness. I repent and renounce those occult sins and idolatry that I
cannot remember. I renounce Satan and all his works, I hate all his demons and I
consider them all to be my enemies. I now inform all demonic spirits that you do
not have any legal right to me and you are trespassing. I command all connected or
related spirits and all power demons that came in me or at me by taking part in
these occult practices to leave me now, and never return, in Jesus' name. I close all
doors or openings in my life to all occult and psychic practices and spirits of
darkness. I ask You, Heavenly Father, to seal them with the precious shed Blood of
Jesus Christ, never to be opened again, in Jesus' name. Amen.
The counselor can have the person renounce any spirits that came in or on to them
because of participating in any occult practice, Then the counselor can command
those spirits to leave and never return in Jesus’ name.

ASTRAL PROJECTION AND DIVINATION

Astral projection: Instructions for those involved in astral projection or divination.

ASTRAL PROJECTION or soul travel is an occult practice, an out of body

experience produced through meditation or witchcraft. It is an occult practice and
powered by evil spirits. Once a person takes this soulish control over his/her spirit,
they can enter the spirit realm any time and talk to demons. We are to be under
the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit. These people need to repent and be in
godly meditation on Scriptures.

DO THIS AFTER TAKING THEM THROUGH THE PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE

FROM OCCULT SINS:

Those who have been involved in astral projection should be instructed that astral
projection is accomplished by demonic powers. These people have yielded their
bodies to Satan's use. This ability is not from God no matter how pleasant the
experience. On the back of their heads at the point where the top of the spine and
the base of the skull meet is the place where the astral projected body or soul
body leaves the physical body. Bind all spirits that came in to help this person or
give them power to accomplish soul travel. Command these spirits to leave in Jesus'
name. You need to get their permission to anoint them on the back of the head and
close this opening. Explain to them that when you anoint this spot, they will no
longer have the ability to astral project. When they are ready, anoint the back of
their head, then COMMAND that opening sealed, never to be opened again, in
Jesus' name.

PLEASE NOTE!!!: Astral projection is a conscious use of soul power empowered by

forces of darkness. Out of body experiences due to trauma, accidents or near
death experiences are not occult practices. Out of body experiences caused by
trauma, are usually not under the person's control. Leaving the body in trauma is
called dissociation. This is caused by severe stress or trauma. Dissociation occurs
when a child or person is being hurt and the pain is too great to bear. They believe
they are going to die. This is a stress coping mechanism. Most abuse survivors are
unaware of how they leave their body. Refer to Dr. Friesen's book on Multiple
Personality Disorder for an excellent explanation of dissociation and Multiple
Personality Disorder. See introductory notes for title.
There is a chart in Dr. Friesen's book giving the criteria for determining if a
person has Multiple Personality Disorder. This book also contains ways to
distinguish between MPD alter personalities and demons. Dissociation or splitting

of the mind is a survival ability built into humans, a coping mechanism. It can be
dysfunctional if it is used to cope with every stress that comes along rather than
facing it. This opens the door for demonic attachment. There is always a chance
for an evil spirit to slip in while a person is unconscious and out of control of
his/her mind or body, because of an accident. This has nothing to do with the
person sinning. There was simply no control or protection over their minds. Demonic
attacks of the mind can also happen when mind altering drugs are used and the
person loses control over his/her mind. We are instructed in Scripture to guard
our minds. If a person tells of trouble or torment starting soon after being
unconscious from an accident, then a spirit may have taken up residence there.
Have them renounce the spirit that came in from the accident and command it to
leave, in Jesus' name.

You can instruct people who are going to be put to sleep for medical reasons to
protect their minds from demonic attack by pleading the Blood of Jesus over the
minds. It is always a wise practice to have Christians praying for them during such
procedures.

Evil spirits often gain entrance during times of sexual, ritual abuse and torture.
Some rituals are done specifically to place demons in the person. When evil spirits
are found, they should be bound and cast out. The person did not invite them in and
it usually was not the result of a sinful action. A curse usually binds the demon in a
person who is a ritual abuse survivor. The person may or may not know anything
about the curse. This is done so the person cannot get free. It is only with the
power and revelation of the Holy Spirit that these curses are found. Anoint them
and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to them, information concerning the curse or
demons that entered or were placed in them. The curse binds the demon to the
person. This gives the demon a legal spiritual right to stay and torment. Curses
that are found have to be broken before the demons will leave. Simply have the
person renounce the curses in Jesus' name and command it to be broken. Then,
command any spirits that came in while this person was unconscious, tortured or
abused, to be bound and leave, in Jesus' name. You can also command the demon not
to tear the person as it leaves. Sometimes, there are familiar spirits that have
come down family lines or have been with the person for a long time and are very
familiar with them. You can also command these familiar spirits to leave. I have
found it very useful at times to ask the Father, in Jesus' name, to send an angel to
come to take this familiar spirit to its destiny.

Counselor's notes on divination
Those who have been involved in divination, fortune telling, or have the ability to
see into the spirit realm any time they choose, probably have a spirit of divination.
They have opened the occult "third eye." The "third eye" is a supernatural eye that
is on the forehead between the natural eyes. This is how fortune tellers,
astrologers, witches and mediums get supernatural knowledge and can see into the
future. The occult "third eye," used to look into the supernatural realm operates
by demonic powers. If there is something God wants to show a person, then He will
reveal it to them. In this case, it will be at His direction and under His control for
a specific time or task. The ability to see into the supernatural realm has to be
under God's control and direction because Satan will seduce mortals into the sinful
use of this power. God does not want us to have anything to do with occult or
psychic power. See Deuteronomy 18:10-13. Explain to the person that the source of
this power is from the devil and not God. As you can see from Deuteronomy, God is
not pleased with those who practice this. See also Exodus 20:3-4.

People who can see into the supernatural realm may be resistant to giving up this
ability. They must give up this ability if they want to be free and have peace with
God. The person has to renounce this practice and repent. It is always their choice.
If they resist or argue about giving up this practice, they are not ready for
ministry so stop until they can give it up. This is a rebellious spirit, not a humble
spirit of someone who is truly sorry for dabbling in the occult. Explain to them the
results of their making this decision, with gentleness and love; always being ready
to help them when they are ready. Sometimes, teaching is necessary. Have them
read God's Word and pray about this matter. God promised to deliver us from our
enemies, not our friends.

If the person repents and wants God's cleansing and healing, then continue. Explain
to the person that you are going to anoint them and pray for them. This will stop
their ability to see into the supernatural realm or use these psychic powers. First,
have them renounce this practice. Then have them renounce every demon or spirit
entity that came in to give them this power. Have them confess that they will only
seek God's revelations, direction and truth as revealed by the Holy Spirit and
God's Word. Have them say, "I renounce all the spirits of divination and the power
demons that came in me to give me this power and I command you to leave me now
in Jesus' name." Then tell them to say in their mind, (not out loud), "All spirits of
darkness and divination leave me now in Jesus' name."

Tell them to say this over and in their mind, until they feel them leave or feel
peace. While they are doing this, have them look directly at you. The counselor
speaks directly to the spirits saying, "I command you, spirits of darkness and
divination, to come out of (person's name) and leave and never return, in Jesus'
name." Do not let them close their eyes. Have them keep their eyes open and look
directly at you while you command the spirits to leave. Usually, if they want these
spirits to go, you will only have to speak this one time. However, they should
continue to command these spirits to leave in their minds until they have a release.
Next, get them to agree with you to seal the "third eye" opening to the spirit
realm. To seal or close the "third eye,' anoint them in the center of the forehead
and command that "the third eye" permanently closed, in Jesus' name, never to be
opened again.

DEALING WITH EVIL CURSES

Explain to counselee:
Curses are contracts or requests to evil powers for injury or evil to befall someone
or something. They can be spoken words, incantations or prayers that invoke evil
spirits to do their evil work. A curse is also a ban or censure over a person, place or
thing. This curse, ban or censure can be the result of a sinful act or disobedience
to God's law. Often curses are spoken by servants of Satan.
When breaking curses, be sure to consider the following:

Curses have to be broken for worshiping other gods, occult practices, oaths to/in
secret societies, sex with animals and illegitimate sex, illegitimate births, murder,
not tithing, hating the Jews, etc. Curses and vows placed on oneself and curses
from servants of Satan have to be broken. Be sure to look into Scripture to
understand what activities bring curses on people. There are many causes for
curses listed in the Bible. See Deuteronomy, Chapters 7:25-26, Chapters 23, 27,
28, 30, Exodus 20:1-6, Malachi 3:8-9. These are a few references to curses in the
Bible. An excellent book on curses has been written by Derek Prince. It can be
purchased from any Christian book store.

Some curses come down a family line or blood line from generation to generation. A
curse may be on a person or their children because a living or dead relative was
involved in psychic or occult practices. This is true even if the person involved in
the occult has been dead for two hundred or more years. Time does not affect
curses. Curses can cause all kinds of problems such as broken marriages, poverty,
attachments of familiar spirits, sickness, cancer, degenerative diseases, sexual

perversion, addictions, compulsions, violence, rebellion, mental problems and
torment. People involved in the occult get angry and place curses on others. They
speak words against a person to get even and bring hurt on that person. The victim
may or may not know a curse has come against them. When a curse is placed on
someone or something, a demon enters or is attached to them. The curse seals the
demon in that person or place.
The good news is a curse will not land on a born again child of God who is walking in
righteousness. In fact, it will go back and come upon the one who sent it. This may
bring the planned devastation upon the sender. Proverbs 26:2 refers to curses sent
on innocent people, without a cause. Curses are powered by demons. It is the
demons that carry out the evil action of the curse, incantation or spell. Jesus came
to set the captives free and gave His Church power over all power of the enemy.
The servants of God can break curses and set people free in Jesus' name.

Prayer No. 9
BREAKING CURSES, SPELLS AND INCANTATIONS
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You as Your child, born again, redeemed and
washed in the blood of Jesus. I declare that You, Jesus, have redeemed me from
the curse of the law having become a curse for me. I proclaim that I am a partaker
of the inheritance of the saints of God. I give thanks unto You, Father, for
delivering me from all the powers of darkness and translating me into the kingdom
of your dear Son. As one who is covered with the blood of Jesus, I here and now
reject and disown all the sins, pacts, dedications, curses and occult selections of
my ancestors or any relatives, specifically (name of person(s) responsible for the
curse, if known), which has been passed on to me intentionally or unintentionally. In
Jesus' name, Father, I ask to be redeemed and cleansed from all evil curses,
incantations, dedications, spells, pacts and familiar spirits passed on to me from my
parents, grandparents, great grandparents, ancestors, relatives or any other
person, specifically (name of person(s) responsible, if known). Father, I also ask to
be redeemed and cleansed from all curses that have come upon me from what I
have done or been involved in. I now appropriate in my life, Jesus' work on the
cross to free me from all curses. I REPENT and declare that I am totally
committed and completely signed over to my Lord, Jesus Christ. In the Name of
the Lord, Jesus Christ, I now rebuke, break and loose myself and all my children or
children to be, from all evil curses, charms, vexes, hexes, spells, incantations,
jinxes, psychic powers, bewitchments, pacts, dedications or sorcery, that have
been put on me or my family line or by any other person or persons, (person's name,
if known), or from any occult, cultic, satanic or psychic source. I declare all these

curses, dedications or pacts are null and void, in Jesus' name. I reject every way in
which Satan may claim ownership of me. I reject every demon, evil spirit or
familiar spirit sent to me by Satan or attached to any part of me, because of these
curses, dedications, pacts or my activities, and I COMMAND all these connected
and related spirits to leave me now and never return, in Jesus' name. I COMMAND
you, Satan, to remove from me all satanic shields, seals, devises or mechanisms
used to harass, manipulate or control me in any way or attach and hold a familiar or
demonic spirit to any part of me. I COMMAND you, Satan to take them off now
and I command all these attached spirits to leave me now and never return, in
Jesus' name. Father, in Jesus' name, I ask you to send your holy angels to take all
these evil and familiar spirits to their destiny.

COUNSELOR WILL INSTRUCT YOU WHAT TO DO NEXT.

Counselor now breaks curses, saying the following words over them:
"In the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, as His servant, I now break
all curses, spells or incantations off you, (person's name), that have come down
through your family or blood line, no matter how far back or for whatever source
or reason. I break all curses, spells and incantations off you, (person's name), that
have come upon you from other people praying against you, writing or speaking
curses against you. I break all curses off you, (person's name), that have come
upon you from what you have done or been involved in. I break the curse of:
(naming the curses discovered during counsel), in Jesus' name. I break all curses
off you, (person's name), in Jesus' name. Amen."
Then take authority and command all spirits involved with those curses to leave in
Jesus' name. You can say, "I now take authority as a servant of God and in the
Name of Jesus, I bind all spirits that came in you or on you to enforce these
curses and any familiar spirits attached to you. I break their hold on you and
command all these spirits to leave now in Jesus' name and never return. Father, in
Jesus' name, I ask you to send your angels to take these evil and familiar spirits to
their destiny. Amen."

The person being ministered to continues and prays the following prayer:
I now ask You, Heavenly Father to fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to
live above sin. I now submit my life and all to You. I determine to look to You,
Heavenly Father, to provide all my needs. I will not yield my body or any part of my
body to any sinful practice or unrighteousness. I declare that my body is the
temple of the Holy Spirit, an instrument of righteousness, a living, holy sacrifice,

to glorify You, Father. I ask You, Father to surround me with Your holy warrior
angels, giving them charge over me to protect me in all my ways. Amen.

Lesson 8
SOUL TIES OR CORDS OF INIQUITY
Counselor's note:
Soul ties are ungodly bonds formed between the souls of people for the purpose of
control, manipulation or domination. This bondage can be from sexual sins, adultery,
controlling parents, spouses, pastors or friends. This can also be a psychic or
telepathic link between the controller and other persons. Some Christian workers
say that this is a telepathic link between the person and the controller, which give
the controller continual information about the person. Through this link, a
controller can know everything about a person without ever visiting them. This is
operated by a spirit of witchcraft and is demonic. The bondage of control between
people is easy to identify. These soul bonds or ties bind people's souls together. It
will have an influence on the person until it is broken. This evil control can continue
even after they become Christians. It must be brought to the cross.

These soul ties will continue to pull people back into sin or bring them under the
control of other people. Often a child is tied to a parent by an invisible, ungodly
soul bond. This child will never be free to live a life of their own. They always have
to rely on mother or father to make decisions or direct their lives. This is like an
invisible umbilical cord connecting the controller to the person. Because of this
psychic or telepathic link, the controller knows when the soul bond is threatened
and will actively work to strengthen it. This may go on for generations. This is the
use of soul power. This is bondage. It is devilish and powered by demons. It will
require the use of spiritual warfare by the minister and the counselee to gain their
freedom and to stay free.

God does not want us to dominate others. Neither does God want us to have control
over our spirit or souls in any ungodly manner for our own pleasure or power. (See
notes on astral projection). We are to renew our minds with God's Word, and bring
our will into submission to God and His laws. We are to exercise self-control over
our minds, wills and emotions. This is the way we take dominion over our flesh and
crucify it.

What to do to be free:
To be free, it is necessary to cut these cords of iniquity or soul ties to the

controlling person. This transfers the control back to the person who has been
controlled. Every individual is responsible for guarding their minds and submitting
to the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God's laws for guidance. The believer has the power
to break these soul ties in Jesus' Name. The counselee has to agree with breaking
these ungodly bonds. Also, they may have to move away from the reach of the
controller. Take everyone through the following prayer. Renounce and command all
demons or familiar spirits that make this control possible to leave in Jesus' name.
Again, with familiar spirits, it may be wise to call upon the Father to send angels to
take the familiar spirits to their destiny.

Prayer No. 10
PRAYER TO BREAK SOUL TIES OR CORDS OF BONDAGE
Have the person pray the following prayer, first:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You, in Jesus' name, and acknowledge that You
gave everyone a free will. I humbly repent for allowing any control or bondage in my
life, and ask to be forgiven. I RENOUNCE all use of soul power. I RENOUNCE
allowing myself to be controlled or manipulated in any way. I loose myself from all
control, soul bonding, bondage, slavery, or any spirits that have come from the
controller, any sex partner in the past or by any person, specifically (name of
person). I declare that Jesus has delivered me from bondage and I am a child of
Light and the Bride of Christ. I now ask You, Lord Jesus, to set me free from
these soul ties, soul bonds or cords of iniquity between me and any sex partner of
the past, or any other person or persons, specifically (name of person). I cancel and
break this bonding and cords of iniquity permanently. I take back all rights to my
body, to my soul and to my spirit. I reclaim all the parts of myself that were
connected to the other person or sex partner of the past. I release all parts of
the other person. I break any psychic or telepathic links between me and any other
person, in Jesus' name. Father, if there should be any ungodly bonds between my
soul and spirit, I now renounce them and break them, in Jesus' name. I ask You,
Father, to apply the Blood of Jesus to where these cords were connected so they
can never be reconnected. I command all spirits that have come from the
controller(s), or any demon that make these psychic or telepathic links operate, to
leave me now and never return, in Jesus' name. It is my desire to worship You,
Heavenly Father, with all my body, soul and spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Counselor then prays this prayer over the person that is bound:
I thank You, Lord Jesus Christ, that You came to set the captive free. You have
commanded that Your disciples do likewise. As a disciple and follower of the Lord

Jesus Christ and one covered with His blood and seated with Him in the Heavenly
realms; I take up the authority that He has given me. I now declare that all the
soul ties and cords of iniquity are broken off (person's name). (Person's name) is
set free from all bondage. I declare that all cords of iniquity and ungodly bonds
between (person's name) and any person or persons are cut. I also declare that any
ungodly bonds between your soul and spirit are cut. I come in agreement with
(person's name) and command all the spirits from the controller(s) to leave now and
never return, in Jesus' name. I COMMEND you (person's name) to walk by the
guidance of the Holy Spirit, allowing God's control in your life. I declare this in the
power and authority of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Rule Of The Victor Prayer

The "Rule Of The Victor" prayer is an excellent warfare prayer that will stop and
remove demons being sent against you or your counselee. The first version of this
prayer was developed by the Rev. Leonard M. Anspach, Altoona, PA. This prayer is
not intended to deal with personal demons present because of personal sins or
generational curses in the family, but to knock out demonic spirits that are sent
out by satanist. This prayer is very effective when working with survivors of
Satanic Ritual Abuse. Put in your name or the name of the person you are praying
for.

The Rule Of The Victor Prayer

In the name of Jesus Christ I claim the “Rule of the Victor” over all spirits and
spiritual assignments to interfere, confuse, torment or harm
__________________________(name of the person or event). All such assigned
spirits must leave now, all vows, spells and curses are canceled and those who sent
them are here by cut off from receiving power from darkness in the future. All
communications and plans of darkness, on earth or the heavenlies are here by
blocked, confused and all curses, spells and assignments will return to the sender.
Father God, as Your Word says, I pray a blessing on the sender that they may
repent from their evil ways and come to know Your Son Jesus as their Lord and
Savior. Amen

Groupings along with the potential Root Spirits. These groupings are often
revealed in deliverance, but this is by no means all of them, nor does it mean this is
how all Demons are grouped. For the purposes of doing deliverance this is the
exact list that Pastor Nate works from when performing deliverance. Feel free to

Before you begin doing self-deliverance I strongly suggest you keep in mind that
Deliverance is not about saying as many cool words as possible, in the right
sequence. In my first-hand experience that isn’t how Deliverance works.
Deliverance, very simply, comes from God as a result of the free gift of grace as
we received through the payment made for us on the Cross by Jesus Christ.
Translated, INTIMACY with the Lord is hugely important in getting free.

1. Salvation – have you accepted Christ as your personal savior and Lord? (click
here to take action)
2. Forgiveness – Are you carrying around anger and resentment towards
someone else? If yes, then take action…get on your knees, confess it to Christ and
ask to be forgiven. (Yes, Again!)
3. Repentance – True repentance is changing the way you think and act. This is
a sign of true repentance. Remember, God knows anyway, so get downright RAW in
your honesty with him.
4. Prayer – Are you diligently seeking God in prayer? Are you praying in the
name of Jesus? (I once had a dream-like word of knowledge and the voice said, “Do
all things in the name of Jesus”)
5. Praise and Worship – Good praise music goes a long long way in deliverance.
6. Elders, Other Christians – If you can get a mature Christian to join you in
the deliverance then this will gives you the ability to call in the below prayer…
which is huge! Pastor Nate uses this often and it works.

your ability then you are now ready to attempt self-deliverance. Again, I
always recommend that you have someone else with you who is a Christian and

Mass Deliverance. It helps to pave the way for one and one deliverance.

Mass Deliverance Prayers

Forgiveness, Confessions and Prayers:

Fathers, I confess that in the past I have held unforgiveness, sometimes
bitterness and resentment in my heart against certain people who have hurt or
disappointed me.

I now recognize this as sin and confess it as sin, for you have said in your Word
that if we confess our sin, you are faithful and just forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1John 1:9)
I do now forgive the following people I can remember, who have hurt or
disappointed me. {Insert here the names of all who come to mind}. I now freely
forgive all these people and ask you to bless them if they are living. I also forgive
myself for all my many faults and failures for you have freely forgiven me.
Thank You, Father for freedom from the load of unforgiveness, bitterness and
resentment. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Confessions of Contact with the Occult:

Father, I confess to You, that in the past, through ignorance, curiosity or
willfulness, I have come into contact with certain occult things. I now recognize
this as sin and confess it as sin and claim forgiveness in Jesus’ Name.
Specifically I do confess as sin and renounce all contacts, which I have had with
the following occult things: {name all that come to mind}.
I also renounce and confess as sin any false oaths, which I may have made to any
false god and any idolatry in which I have been involved.

Closing the doors to Satan:

Satan, I rebuke you Jesus’ Name and I am closing any doors, which my ancestors or
I may have opened to you and your demons. I renounce Satan and all his demons; I
declare them to be my enemies and I want them out of my life completely.
In the name of Jesus Christ I now claim deliverance from any and all evil spirits,
which may be in me. Once and for all I close the door in my life to all occult
practices and command all connected and related spirits to leave me now.

Breaking Curses: (See Page 108 for a list of Biblical Based Curses)
In the name of Jesus Christ I break any and all curses placed against me
witchcraft and command the curses and spirits from them to return to senders.
(Psalm 109)
In the name of Jesus Christ I break any curses of rejection from the womb or
illegitimacy which may be in my family, even back to ten generations on both sides
of family.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I now renounce, break and loose myself from all
demonic subjection; from any ungodly soul ties to my mother, father, grandparents
or any other person, living or dead, who have ever dominated or controlled me, in
any way which is contrary to will of God and the Word of God.

I thank you Lord for Setting me free. I also repent and ask you to forgive me if I
have ever dominated or controlled some other person in the wrong way.

Renunciation Prayer of Psychic Bondage:

In the name of Jesus Christ I now renounce, break and loose myself and all my
descendants, from all psychic heredity, demonic holds, psychic powers, bondage,
bonds of physical or mental illness, or curses which may be upon my family line as a
result of sins, transgressions, iniquities, occult or psychic involvements of myself,
my parents or any of my ancestors (my spouse, any and all ex-spouses, or their
parents, or any of their ancestors.
In the name of Jesus Christ I now renounce, break and loose myself and all my
descendant from all evil curses, charms, vexes, spells, jinxes, psychic power,
bewitchments, witchcrafts or sorcery which may have been put upon me or my
family line; from any person or persons or from any occult or psychic source. I
renounce all connected and related spirits and command them to leave me now. I
thank you Lord Jesus for setting me free.

Cutting Evil Soul Ties:

Father I break and renounce, cut and break all evil soul ties, which I may have
with, lodges, religious system, adulterer, drunkards, close friends, cults, etc.

Losing the Mind:

In the name of Jesus Christ, I command Satan and all of his demons to loose my
mind completely. I ask You, Father, to send Your angels to break, cut and sever all
fetters, bands, chains, ties and bonds of whatever sort the enemy has managed to
place on my mind by word or deed. I ask You to loose into me and my family the
spirits of the Lord: Wisdom, Counsel, Might, Knowledge, Fear of the Lord, Power,
Love, Sound, Mind, Grace, Peace, and the Spirit of the Lord.

Restoration of Fragmented Soul

Father, I ask you in the name of Jesus Christ to send out angels to gather up the
fragments of my soul and restore them to their rightful place in me. (Psalm 7:2,
23:3)
With the full power and authority of the Lord Jesus, I ask that angels unearth and
break all earthen vessels, bonds, bands or bindings which have been put upon my
soul by any means.

Restore all the pieces of my fragmented mind, will, emotions, appetite, intellect,
heart, and personality. Bring them all into proper and original positions where they
belong.

Confessions of Sins of the Fathers:

In accordance with Leviticus 26, I do now confess the sins of my ancestors:
idolatry, witchcraft, occultism, lust, adultery, divorce, perversion, rebellion,
stubbornness and wicked heart of unbelief. I claim forgiveness because of the
provisions in 1John 1:9, break the curses and lift the curses, whoredoms and
iniquities from my descendants and me. I command all spirits associated with these
to leave me and my family and go wherever Jesus wants to send them.

Prayer of Surrender to Jesus:

You must learn to dismiss immediately painful memories of your past and live in an-

5. Never forget that Satan and all of his demons are liars. Learn to recognize the
lie:

“When he lies, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of
lies” (John 8:44).

One of the favorite ploys of demons is to try to convince you that what took place
was only emotional and that you are still in the enemy’s grip. “Therefore submit
yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God,

8. Allow the Holy Spirit to control your life – All of you, all the time.

Make a conscious choice to make Jesus Lord of every day and every situation. “I
urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies
as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service
of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renew-
ing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect
will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).

“Do not be drunk with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit”

“Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the

9. God’s Holy Word must have a predominate place in your life.

This may mean not doing something that would take you away from it. Take time or
make time to read, learn, and meditate on God’s Word every day. If time is limited,
carry Scripture verse cards with you for your free times. Get CDs of the Bible and
play them in your car or office. “This Book of the Law must not depart from your
mouth. Meditate on it day and night so that you may act carefully according to all

Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put
on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes
of the devil. For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against princi-
palities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and
against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the
whole armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your waist girded with truth, hav-
ing put on the breastplate of righteousness, having your feet fitted with the
readiness of the gospel of peace, and above all taking the shield of faith,
with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvations and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God. Pray in the Spirit always and all kinds of prayer and supplication. To
that end be alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. –
Ephesians 6:10-18

Make this so that it soon becomes effortless and is part of your lifestyle.

11. You must severe ties with old unhealthy friendships. This is a must.

“Do you not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever
therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” (James 4:4)

You can count on the enemy to try to use whatever worked before to get access to
your life again. You must avoid old patterns as well and break former habits that
led to sin.

12. Be serious in your efforts to glorify the Lord Jesus.

“If you then were raised with Christ, desire those things which are above, where
Christ sits at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on
things on earth. For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God”
(Colossians 3:1-3)

13. This battle is one of dependency. Be careful to not get confident in the flesh.

Admitting you can’t do it all by yourself is not weakness; it is strength. Do things

with His help. The lie of Satan is to tell you that you can do it without God. “I am
the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much
fruit. For without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5) “Let your lives be without
love of money, and be content with the things you have. For He has said: “I will
never leave you, nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5)

14. Remember the wiles and the sneaky traps of the devil.

Act in your God-given authority. It will always be honored by the Father, who gave
it to Jesus to give to you. “Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse
your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (James 4:7-8)

15. Praise invites God’s presence and causes the enemy to run.

Praise Him because He deserves it. Give thanks to God for His continuous good-
ness. Psalm 103:6 says, “The LORD does righteousness and justice for all who are
oppressed.”

16. Be ready to receive your inheritance that is given liberally by the Spirit of
God.

Your inheritance was given through the glory of Jesus Christ, who is seated at the
right hand of His Father, who is also your Father. Remind the demons that you are
an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. You are! “But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-
control; against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23)

“So Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent Me, even
so I send you” (John 20:21)

17. Remember that there are certain things that require diligent warfare.

Criticism, negativity, grieving over the past, oversensitivity, doubt, selfishness,

putting feelings before faith, and lack of genuine prayer are al on the list. Be an
outgoing person and help others. Helping others will bring blessings. You cannot al-
low self-pity a place in your life.*

Now the works of the flesh are revealed, which are these: adultery, sexual im-
morality, impurity, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, rage, self-
ishness, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, carousing, and the like.
I warn you, as I previously warned you, that those who do such things shall not in-
herit the kingdom of God…….Let us not be conceited, provoking one another and en-

 In the name of Jesus Christ I confess all the sins of my forefathers and by

down to me through my ancestral lines. I confess and repent of each and
every sin that I have committed, known or unknown, and accept Christ’s
forgiveness. He has redeemed me from the curse of the law.

 “Father, this day and each and every day, I bind Satan, all territorial spirits,
every principality, power spirit, ruler of the darkness, wicked spirit in high
places, all familiar spirits, and all spirits above, around, and below them,
mentioned and unmentioned, known or unknown; I bind all spirits on
assignment against me and all on that I possess. I lose them from all that I
possess. I break their power and communication lines. I break their supply
lines. I curse all of their works and assignments at their roots. I speak
spiritual deafness, dumbness, blindness, confusion, paralysis, and
incapacitation upon each and every one of them, and throw all of their plans
and activities into continual confusion and disarray through the spirit of
power and might of the Holy Spirit

 I choose the blessing and reject the curse. In the name of my Lord Jesus
Christ, I break the power of every evil curse spoken against me. I cancel the
force of every prediction spoken about me, whether intentionally or
carelessly that was not according to God’s promised blessings. I bless those
who have cursed me. I forgive each person who has ever wronged me or
spoken evil of me.

 In the name of Jesus Christ I now rebuke, break and loose myself, and my
family, from any and all evil curses operating through charms, vexes, hexes,
spells, omens, jinxes, psychic powers, mind control, bewitchments,
witchcraft or sorcery, that have been put upon me through any person, or
from any cult or occult source. I command all such demonic powers to leave
me in the name of Jesus.

family from all hereditary curses, and from all demonic bondage placed upon

myself from all demonic subjection to my mother, my father, my
grandparents and any other human beings, living or dead, who have
dominated and controlled me in any way.

 Your Word says, Lord, that I will decree a thing and it will come to pass.
Your Word says, Lord, that You are watching over it to perform it Lord, I
ask You to perform Your Word, and I now decree that all that I have spoken
and do speak, has already come to pass in the realm of the Spirit; I decree
that the enemy is unable to see, hear, or understand my moves or speech;
that they are unable to track me or watch my activities; that they are
turned against themselves and cannot carry out their assignments.

 I curse at the roots all that they attempt, all assignments, plots, plans,
designs, activities, traps and snares; I take them all captive to Christ and
cast them down as vain thoughts and imaginations along with all demonic
ministry to my thought life. I loose us from them.. I break them off of us. I
curse them all at the roots. I decree them all made null and void, cancelled
never manifested, never come to pass, cursed and destroyed at their roots,
rendered of no effect- cast down as vain thoughts and imaginations all in
Christ Jesus’ Name. In the name of Jesus, I command every evil spirit of
curse to leave me now. I am the head and not the tail. I am above and not

agreements with the enemy, and for believing the devil’s lies. I now submit to

 Lord Jesus, please send an assignment of angels to remove and bind to the
abyss all demons and their devices that had access to me because I believed
their lies. I now ask you to establish a hedge of protection around me, over

 I now choose to put on the full armor of God and ask that you cleanse me and

 DELIVERANCE FROM ADDICTIONS
Uprooting Addictions

Addictions are something that plagues many people today, whether addiction to food, sex,
drugs, alcohol, smoking, spending, masturbation, porn, etc. Some inexperienced
deliverance ministers might go after a spirit of addiction, which may bring freedom, but
more often than not, it doesn't bring lasting freedom. Many times there is a root that
needs to be pulled up, along-side casting out any residing spirits that are holding the
person in bondage to the addiction. Getting to the root of the addiction is the key to
bringing a person lasting genuine freedom. I am going to address the most common roots
to addictions, and hopefully give you an idea of how this particular type of bondage works
so that you can minister lasting freedom to those caught up in this type of bondage.

We are all created with a basic need to be loved. God created us to both give and receive
love, but though damaged emotions, our capacity to receive love can be dramatically
hindered. Ignorance of God's love will also hinder us from receiving the great and glorious
love that He has for us. The root of most addictive behaviors is a lack of love being
received by that person. Many of us have been damaged emotionally by rejection,
abandonment, abuse, etc., and thereby our capacity to receive love has been reduced.
Only an emotionally healthy person is capable of both giving and receiving love as
God intended.

Self-worth issues can hinder love

Self-worth issues are rooted in believing that we are not worthy or deserve to be loved.
When we believe that we are unlovable, we will unconsciously reject any love that comes
our way. We won't believe the love, because we believe in our hearts that we are not
worthy. Self-worth issues are all rooted in our failing to see who we really are in
Christ.

If you walked into a gallery of world-class art, and pointed to a painting, saying, "That is
the ugliest thing I've ever seen! Who painted that??" Now let's say the artist was standing
right next to you. How do you think that would make Him feel? Do you realize we are the
artwork of God, a special painting crafted together by the master painter? Do you think it
brings Him honor when we look down on ourselves? We need to stop putting down
what God has made.

Many times we have un-forgiveness issues toward ourselves because we blame ourselves
for something, or we've done something we deeply regret, and we simply cannot let it go.
We need to realize that Jesus has forgiven us of all our failures, and we need to start

seeing ourselves as forgiven. Otherwise, we're denying the work of Christ in our life! If
God forgave you, and you're still beating yourself up, then you don't really believe
what Jesus did for you. It's that simple!

Just as we must forgive others (see Matthew 18:21-35), we need to forgive ourselves just
the same. Self-hate has been known to be the root behind diseases such as lupus and
crohn's disease, as well as other auto-immune diseases. We need to stop holding ourselves
accountable for that which Jesus has set us free from.

If we want to be in faith, we need to BELIEVE what Jesus did for us, and part of that
believing is seeing ourselves as forgiven and clothed with the righteousness of God, which
is upon all who believe in the finished work of Christ. Without faith, it is impossible to
please God (see Hebrews 11:6), so if you want to please God, start taking the finished
work of the cross seriously, and begin to see yourself as forgiven, washed clean, and
clothed in the righteousness of God. For the righteousness (right standing with God) is
upon all who believe:

"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and
upon all them who believe..." (Romans 3:22 KJV)

Un-forgiveness is rooted in a lack of realization of how much God has forgiven us, and
therefore we're not thankful for the steep and terrible price that Jesus paid for our own
failures. This is why it is so important to mediate on what Jesus did for us, until it
transforms our heart. The message of Jesus' work for us is what causes faith to arise in
our hearts and transforms us from the inside out (read Romans 10:8-17).

Learning to see yourself as God sees you, and forgive yourself because you want to please
God and be in faith and be thankful for what Jesus did for you, is the biggest step in
overcoming self-worth issues. Of course, there are spirits that may need to be driven out
as well, such as self-hate, guilt, condemnation, etc.

Receiving the love God has for us

When it comes to God's love for us, that's very obvious, considering how He loves even
the sinner so much that Jesus came to die for them. Anybody who knows the message of
the cross has some knowledge of God's love for us. However, many times, we blame God
for our problems, and so we don't believe the love that He has for us. Not only do we
blame Him for our problems, many times we think that God gave us the sickness or
problem in our life to teach us something. Nothing could be further from the truth! Jesus
tells us clearly who came to kill, steal, and destroy, and who came so that we could have
life and have it in abundance.

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come
that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John
10:10 KJV)

If we are going to receive the love that God has for us, we need to get our
thinking straightened out. He's not the one behind our problems, but rather Jesus paid

the full price so that we can be forgiven all our sins, both physically and emotionally
healed, and blessed.

"When the evening came, they brought unto him many that were possessed with
devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." (Matthew 8:16-17 KJV)

Look at how good God's heart is toward mankind! Not only did Jesus heal them, but He
proved the blessings of the covenant we have with Him today concerning our healing and
deliverance. Isn't He good toward us? The reason why bad things happen to us is
because we live in a fallen world that is under the control of the evil one. It's not
God's fault. He loves you. Jesus died for you.

Settling the fact that God loves you and is good toward you is crucial to restoring your
God-given capacity to receive His love. If you can't receive His love, then you need to stop
and ask yourself four questions:

1. Am I blaming God for anything bad that happened to me?

2. Have I been emotionally wounded in such a way that it is hindering my ability to freely
receive love as God intended me to?

3. Do I have knowledge and revelation of how much God loves me? Do I have a solid
Biblical understanding of how I am loved with the same kind of love that the Father has for
Jesus?

4. Is there a self-worth issue that makes me feel unworthy to be loved?

Settling these issues lays a foundation for breaking free from the power of addictions. You
must repair the damage and faulty thinking which hinders your ability to receive the love
that God has for you.

How do you know if you are receiving God's love or if it's hindered? If you are not
passionate about Jesus, then somewhere your ability to receive His love is
hindered.

If you are living a life without receiving God's love in your heart on a daily bases, you are
missing out on the most fulfilling life you can have here on this earth. To know God's love,
which surpasses all understanding (see Philippians 4:7), dispels all our fears and gives us
a sense of peace and joy that we could never otherwise know.

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and
he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love
made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as
he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth
out fear : because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in
love. " (1 John 4:16-18 KJV)

What exactly is an addiction?

An addiction is formed when we try to use something other than God, to meet our need to
be loved. When our ability to receive God's love into our hearts is hindered, we will feel
like something is missing, and seek to fill that void with something else. When that thing,
whatever it might be, fills that void, we grow to love it because it's meeting a need. Over
time, we establish a relationship with that thing, and when it comes time to depart, it's
like breaking up a relationship. That's why addictions are so addicting; we've relied on
that thing to meet a need and we've established a relationship with it. Now when it's time
to break up the love, it isn't so easy to say goodbye.

One common problem that we see when we try to deal with addictions is where we give up
one addition successfully, only to find ourselves in another addiction. We might quit
drinking only to start overeating, for example. We might think we're finding victory, but all
we're really doing is trading one addiction for another addiction. This is because something
has to fill the love-void in our hearts, and if it's not one thing, it will be another.

What about cutting or self-harm?

Cutting or self-mutation is a special type of addiction, where there's a need to either
release pain in a person's heart or the person believes that they deserve to be punished
for their failures. In these cases, the person certainly has an issue receiving the love that
God has for them but there's another type of root that needs to be addressed as well.
There's emotional pain or guilt that the person is dealing with that needs to be resolved.
Finding out what happened and receiving Christ's truth concerning those areas is
important for their healing. Any bondage involving guilt will need to be resolved through
realizing and accepting the work of Christ on the cross for that person and they will likely
need spirits of guilt, condemnation, self-hate, etc. driven out in Jesus' name. Again,
getting the person to see themselves for who they really are in Christ, forgiven, loved, and
blessed, is crucial to lasting freedom from self-hate issues.

See yourself as lovable!

The key in uprooting most addictions is to deal with the underlying issues which are
limiting their capacity to freely receive love from God and others, along with dealing with
any self-worth issues by establishing an understanding of your true identity in Christ.
Coming to a place where you believe you are lovable is key to receiving love in
general, so dealing with self-worth issues is an important key to breaking down the walls
which keep us from feeling loved. The only way to obtain a true sense of worth and value
is to get a revelation of how much you are loved by God the Father, who sent His son Jesus
to die for you.

Discovering the root

To discover the root of your addiction, you need to get real honest with yourself. Many
times we are in denial about the pain we are feeling. Figuring out what is the root of a
particular bondage is all about and asking the right questions. This is especially important
when it comes to uprooting an addiction. Why don't we feel loved? Do we feel unlovable?
(Let's stop right there; if we feel unlovable, then you've just discovered a self-worth issue

that will need to be addressed.) Are you passionate about Jesus? If not, then something in
hindering you from realizing how much you are loved by Him who died for you. Do you see
yourself as forgiven and loved by the Father because of what Jesus did for you?

As you discover emotional wounds, you'll need to forgive (others, yourself, and God) and
invite Jesus to come and heal the damage in your heart. If you don't realize how much
God loves you, then you'll need to spend some time learning about what Jesus did for you
on the cross, and what a terrible price He paid because He loved you so very much. Often
breaking out of an addiction is a combination of emotional healing, learning about who you
are in Christ, forgiving (yourself, others, and God), overcoming self-worth issues by
changing how you see yourself (in light of how God sees and loves you), and casting out
any spirits that came in and are enforcing the addictive behavior. Spirits behind guilt,
condemnation, etc. also need to be driven out, as they seek to keep us from fully seeing
what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Dealing with the issues underlying in addiction is key to uprooting it permanently. If you
want lasting freedom and wholeness in this area of your life, you will have to deal with the
issues that have limited your capacity to receive love, especially the love that God has for
you.

A Prayer to Guide You in Breaking Addictions

This prayer is a general guide that is NOT gender specific nor is it confined to
one form of addiction. Remember, addiction is anything that keeps you from
being dependent on God for everything in your life. Yes, that’s right,
EVERYTHING!
Lord, I ask You to meet ___________________ (person’s name) in this
addiction. As he/she has committed to finding the wounds that made him
vulnerable to addiction, I ask that You come alongside and carry the overwhelming
part of this load. In particular, I ask that You control one craving or the other;
either the emotional craving or the physical craving. Lord; stand between, so they
both are not allowed to come at the same time. Strengthen his spirit to do the
hard work of healing; of identifying the structures and patterns that led to this
point. Help him to forgive the ones he needs to forgive and receive the forgiveness
he needs to receive. Guide us who are his friends so that we may support without
encouraging dependency. Help us be the church to this one and to be family and
friends through whom You can bring him to the measure of the fullness of the
stature of Christ that You designed him to be. Grant him the wisdom to know when

to ask for help and to know when he doesn’t truly need it. I ask You to minister to
the fear, the loneliness and the insecurity. Speak the truth to his spirit when he
feels a weakening. I ask that Your holy angels go with him; protect and secure each
step of progress. Thank You for walking through the Valley of the Shadow of
Death with ________. (person’s name)
Help him/her build new structures and practices that glorify You and You only! In
Jesus mighty and holy name…the strong and amazing son of God Amen!
