boys is 70 kgs. And that of girls is 55 kgs. Find the number of boys and girls in the
class.

26. The average salary of male employees in a firm was Rs. 5,200 and that of females was
Rs. 4,200. The average salary of all employees was Rs. 5,000. Find out percentage of
male and female employees.

27. The mean of wages in Factory A of 100 workers is Rs. 720 per week. The mean
wages of 30 female workers in the factory was Rs. 650 per week. Find out the average
wage of male workers in the factory.

28. There are three sections in B.Com. in a certain class. The number of students in each
section and the average marks obtained by them in the statistics paper in the annual
examination are as follows :

29. mean of 20 values is 45. If one of these values was taken as 64 instead of 46, find

30. There were 500 workers working in a factory. Their mean was calculated as Rs. 200,
later on it was discovered that the wages of two workers were misread as 180 and 20
in place of 80 and 220. Find the correct average.

31. The mean salary paid to 1,000 employees of an establishment was found to be Rs.
180.40. Later on, after disbursement of salary, it was discovered that the salary of two
employees was wrongly entered as Rs. 297 and Rs. 165. Their correct salaries were
197 and 185. Find the correct arithmetic mean.

32. The mean marks of 50 students is 40. Later it was found that one number 27 by
mistake taken as 72. Calculate correct mean.
