● Leader of PLC for cross curricular Social Studies and English


● MUN and Debate club leader
● Helped lead teachers and students on a trip to Washington DC

Leadership Goals

I will develop my leadership in Student Assessment


● GOAL: Develop and share authentic standards-based assessments and rubrics.
● SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVE: Develop and implement at least one
standards-based assessment and rubric each semester.
● LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE: Create a structure to allow other teachers to follow
the same model in developing authentic assessments.
● RATIONALE: Gives more direction to teachers and provides a more authentic
experience for students to prepare them for life.
● Standards Based Assessments
● NBPTS: Proposition 3: Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring
student learning.
● TLMD: Domain 4. Facilitating Improvements in Instruction and Student Learning.
● OBJECTIVE: Create an authentic assessment that I can share with my PLCs on
Facebook and other platforms (short-term).
● TEACHER INQUIRY: I will develop my skills in teaching the
Standards-Based Assessments and Rubric through my teacher inquiry.

I will develop my leadership in Curriculum


● GOAL: Ensure the development of curriculum that uses backwards design and
promotes student learning.
● SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVE: Develop and implement at least one
backwards-design unit each semester.
● LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE: Create a thorough curriculum that other teachers can
use to model backwards-design.
● RATIONALE: Gives a purpose for the units and provides directions for students
on where they are going.
● Understanding by Design
● NBPTS: Proposition 2: Teachers know the subjects they teach and how to teach
them to their students.
● TLMD: Domain 2. Accesses and uses research to improve practice and student
learning.
● OBJECTIVE: Design a curriculum that can be published and shared with other
teachers (long-term).
