specially abled people become graduates and diplomats, but very few land

are many job opportunities which are rising for the specially abled in various
government and private sectors. Many training centers give vocational
trainings to the specially abled to build their career.
Various NGO’s across the city are working tremendously to benefit the

they get notified the least due to lack of information and platform.

CHAPTER 2
LITERATURE
SURVEY
INTRODUCTION

The Census of 2011 put the number of the handicapped in India at 2.68
Crores or 2.21 percent of the absolute population. In urban zones, just 15
percent of the specially abled individuals were graduates while the relating
figure in rural areas was just 5 percent. The 2011 Census likewise presumed
that around 36 percent of the individuals with disabilities were in some type
of work in India, leaving a larger part of them out of work.

In 2016, the government replaced the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995
with progressively strong enactment that expanded the number of specially
abled expanded the share of quota for people with inabilities from 3 percent
to 4 percent in government employments and 3 percent to 5 percent in
advanced education foundations, giving them job reservation of 3 percent in
group A and B post and 5 percent reservation in group C and D posts. While
these measures look great on paper, they must be upheld by satisfactory
endeavors to guarantee that individuals with inabilities get an empowering
social condition.

An ongoing report from 2019 on India Inc, in any case, finds that the study
– ‘Is inclusion of specially abled employee ,Merely a social responsibility
initiative ,or Have we moved beyond trends’ reports that despite the fact that
around 93% of Indian firms have confidence in employing these 'specially
abled' aspirants, just 44% are yet to find the best method for "tapping their
ability". The same number of as 76.3% corporate outfits feel hiring them isn't
a philanthropy yet a business choice.

The government of India, Karnataka state government has taken up many

initiatives to upheld the status of the specially abled in society by conducting
various education as well as career oriented training for the specially abled
through various government programs. The employment exchange for the
specially abled department is also posting various job opportunities related to
the specially abled in their respective websites. But these notifications are
not reaching effectively to the public due to lack of communication between
job publishing agency and the government. Apart from these various private
and public sectors jobs are available for the specially abled at the local level
itself, but they get notified the least due to lack of proper platform.

Many NGO’s are voluntarily helping the specially abled people in giving them
vocational training and help on their job placements with the help of CSR
initiatives took by different companies. Inspite of these many job openings in
various sectors the differently abled people get notified the least due to lack
of web portals to publish such training and placement notifications.

Currently, there are various NGO’s in Mysuru such as SnehaKiran,

Samarthanam, Cheshire, Pratibhe, Enable India who are working
tremendously by providing helpful training and placement objectives for the
specially abled to make them enable in terms of work. Also many NGO’s
from Bangalore such as ADD, Anuprayas are also conducting their programs
in Mysuru to help the needy differently abled people.

EXISTING SYSTEM

In the existing system one can see only the job updates which are there for
the specially abled in Government sectors. These government jobs are
being posted in their corresponding websites. But, the job opportunities in
private as well as other sectors are also very vast. People get notified the
least about these jobs inspite of the huge requirement. The main drawback
of the already existing system is that there is no proper information portal for
the specially abled to let them know about the job updates in the private or
industrial sector and as well as the vocational training centers nearby
wherein they can get the benefits which help them build their career which in
turn will help them to earn a decent living.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
The main intension behind the proposed system is to avoid the drawbacks
which we are facing from the already existing system. There isn’t proper
technical portal where in differently abled people can get notified about the
vast ocean of jobs they have in various other sectors apart from government
jobs as well. There are huge number of training centers who are voluntarily
training the specially abled just to help them build their career with a very
minimal amount fees. Inspite of all these facilities there is no proper
information which are being passed to them and hence, the main intension of
this project is to help them get notified about the job openings.
