Assignment 2 for Week 3

In Safety Procedures in handling food, knowledge is important because it illustrates what a person
needs to know in order to execute the job in an informed and efficient manner. Also in skills and
appropriate behaviour or attitude, represent the ability to apply knowledge to situations in which
information is transformed into a workplace outcome, as well as the underlying reasons for the
requirement for certain knowledge or why skills are done in a given way.

Identifying workplace food safety hazards and risks is an important part of implementing safe food
handling procedures, as it is required to identify the problem.

In safety procedures in handling food we need to implement required personal hygiene practices,
maintain clothing to meet work area standards, follow hygiene procedures in accordance with
enterprise requirements, handle and store foodstuffs according to enterprise guidelines, handle and
store foodstuffs in a manner that avoids damage and contamination, meets hygiene standards, and
maintains quality.

In Hygiene procedures may include personal habits or hygiene and using protective clothes. Also the
ability to ability to operate food storage equipment and follow food safety protocols while transferring
food between places. And lastly, Maintain procedures for storing prepared foods safely.
