Correction: Use . / ; /FANBOYS / Subordinator to separate them.
Ex. Lucy left the office She didn’t say anything She was angry with us.
Correction. When Lucy left the office, she didn’t say anything because she was
angry with us.

Misplaced Modifier Modifiers: Adjective, adverb, preposition + noun, adjective clause, V.ing + noun,
(Put modifiers in wrong V3 + adverb
place.) Correction: Use them after the word they modify.

Ex. The woman is working with my brother who is pregnant.


Correction: The woman who is pregnant is working with my brother.

Dangling Modifier (No Modifiers: Adjective, adverb, preposition + noun, adjective clause, V.ing + noun,
word for modifiers to V3 + adverb
modify) Correction: Add the word(s) they can modify.

Ex. Frozen to -30C, I feel it is inedible.


Correction: Frozen to -30C, the broccoli is inedible.
OR When broccoli is frozen to -30 C, I feel it is inedible.
Ex. Walking to school, a cat ate a fish.
Correction: While I was walking to school, I saw a cat eating a fish.
