Counselling point for Shampoo:

 Use a small amount of water to wet your skin in


the area where you will apply shampoo.
 KMnO4: dilute the concentrated 0.1%
solution 1 in 10, to produce 0.01%.
 Coal tar: take 15ml to make up the volume to
10L
 Apply the shampoo to the affected skin and a
large area around it.
 Use your fingers to rub the shampoo until it forms
a lather.
 Leave the shampoo on your skin for
 5 minutes- ketoconazole
 5 minutes- coal tar
 4 min - lindane
 2-3 min - Selenium sulfide
 2 min- cetrimide
 Rinse the shampoo off of your skin with water.

Counselling point for MDI:

 Remove the mouthpiece cover.


 Hold the inhaler in an upright position.
 Shake the MDI 3-5 times in an up-down motion before each puff. New/not
used for a period of time: prime
 Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth before holding your
breath. Do not exhale into the mouthpiece.
 Device - held at an upright position. Insert into mouth with the head slightly
