Section B (40 marks)

Select two questions and write the answers.

1. Write a MEMO to your colleagues informing them of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
Programme implemented by top management. Give specific details about the programme and how the
staff can contribute to the cause. Ensure you showcase the benefits of such a programme to the
company, staff development and growth. (20 marks)

2. Write an official letter in response to the following situation:

The contractor that you have hired for a company project has not met the expectations of the client.
Write a letter of claim to the contractor displaying your disappointment, with suggestions for
improvement and/or options for terminating the contract with a refund or requesting the contractor to
bear the cost of extra works. (20 marks)

3. Write an e-mail to a website designing company, requesting them to design an attractive and user
friendly web site for your newly set up business. Briefly explain what you expect in an ideal company
website. (20 marks)

4. Write a press release illustrating the news of a new venture in your organization. (e.g.new
product/service/CSR project etc.)
