Theme 1: Collaborative Shopping

One of the things that differs from online vs offline shopping experience is “shopping together”. This void of
company in online shopping can make it boring over a period of time. Ever wondered how collaborative
shopping can improve shopping experience? Imagine you get to seek your friend’s style tips/suggestions on
the go.

Let us break the traditional myths of e-commerce shopping and bring togetherness. We would call that
Collaborative online shopping. This term refers to an activity in which a consumer shops at an eCommerce
platform with remotely located shopping partners such as friends or family. This brings the best of both the
shopping worlds together.

One of the biggest challenges online fashion face is the large volume of returns. According to a survey from
Body Labs, 23% of all clothing gets returned, and 64% of consumers say incorrect fit is the primary reason
they return clothing.
Size and Fit is a multidimensional problem influenced by various factors like inconsistency in size chart
across brands, different body types and Individual fit choices.

Let’s devise innovative ways to help shoppers find the apparel that fit; turning moments of hesitation
in online apparel shopping into confidence & purchase.

Let’s build solutions like virtual try ons to help customers visualise how the apparel looks on them.
Theme 3: Accelerate
Speed is everything in E-commerce. Speed in online shopping is about how quickly a conversion can be made.
This can be further split into multiple stages.

a) How quickly can the customer discover the product that he/she wants? In a typical large scale
e-commerce platform there are millions of products available and you get to see just 8-10 of them
on the first page.
b) Once you start discovering products of your likes, the next step is to make the right choice. So the
real question is, how does the customer find the right one in million choices? Especially in fashion
space it is often one ends up in buying something that they like/see more than what one really
wants. It is about how we can help the customer in making this choice faster.
c) The real deal comes post order. Can we get the product delivered in a couple of hours or lesser
from the remote warehouse where the product is placed? What are the odds!

All of the above constitutes speed in e-commerce and technology can help to improve this in every leg. Figure
out ways to accelerate a) product discoverability on app in milliseconds b) personalization in seconds c)product
delivery within 2-3 hours
Theme 4: Customer Delight
Customer delight is the process of exceeding a customer’s expectations to create a positive customer
experience with your product or brand to improve loyalty. Delighting customers is not just meeting their
needs at the moment. It is more about building authentic relationships that stand the test of time. Delight
is about providing a remarkable experience to users through focusing on their needs, interests, and wishes.

Let’s figure out ways to delight our customers by helping them detect personalised trends from various
happening and sources throughout India

Theme 5: Seamless Online / Offline Retail
In the early era of online shopping, retailers kept their online and offline channels separate, seeing these
consumer behaviours as distinct. Today, we know that couldn’t be further from the truth. Consumers don’t
think in terms of channels. They expect seamless options that make it easy to buy what they want, when
they want it, and how they want to buy it.

Managing the digital information about your business has a much bigger impact on discoverability, and
resulting foot traffic, than you might assume.

Figure out ways to discover offline inventory and nearest store.

Figure out ways to ensure that consumers can transition smoothly between online discovery and
offline purchase. (Example: Unified check in, single loyalty program, uniform post purchase
experience)
