This project aims to promote hand washing awareness among grade 7 students at PNHS-MG during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be led by the OK TAYO DEPED Coordinator and ESP teachers through collaborative activities designed by grade level. The project launch will be on September 15, 2021 and include a webinar on hand washing importance on September 29, 2021. The goal is to educate students on hand washing benefits and motivate proper technique to reduce virus spread.

Project Hand-washing

II. PROJECT PROPONENT

This project is headed by the OK TAYO DEPED Coordinator and ESP Teachers

III. PROJECT RATIONALE

1. In line with the DOH protocols, this activity promotes awareness of the students
about the importance of hand-washing during this COVID-19 pandemic.
2. To instill awareness of the students that keeping hands clean prevents the spread of
virus like COVID-19.
3. To motivate students to wash their hands at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer
with at least 60% alcohol to clean hands.
4. To persuade the students that proper hand-washing can protect them, their family
and community from being infected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
5. To conduct a webinar on “The Importance of Handwashing in Preventing the Spread
of Covid-19”.

IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project will be accomplished through the collaborative efforts of our SSG and
Class officers, teachers and learners. This project is designed to contribute to the
universal goal in ending the spread of COVID-19. ESP teachers will provide the activities
by grade level.

V. TARGET DATE

Program launching will be on Sept 15, 2021 and the duration of the program is for
the entire school year.

The webinar will be on September 29, 2021 at 10:00 to 11:00 am.

VI. TARGET PARTICIPANTS

All grade 7 students of PNHS-MG only.

VII. GUIDELINESS
This activity is open to grade 7 of PNHS-MG only. It will be recorded as one of
activities in ESP subject.
