Game
Students play in pairs or groups of three. Each pair or group gets the same set of story
cards. Student A in the group turns over a story card and reads it to the group. Then, student
A continues the story by adding a sentence that contains one verb in the past simple and at
least one noun or adjective. After student A completes their turn, the other students
continue in the same manner. The sentences have to be grammatically correct. Each correct
sentence gets one point. If a student makes a mistake or cannot continue, the round ends
and the next student turns over a new story card. The game ends when there are no more
cards or after five minutes. The group with the most points at the end wins the game.
