Reported Speech-Questions

2. Wh-questions: what (things), who (people), where(place), which (things), whom (pe care-people), when (time),
how (manner)
*we use “asked/enquire” to introduce the reported question
*we use the question word (what,where,who,which etc) to report the question.
E.g: D.S: What time does the train leave?
I.S: He/she asked what time did the train leave.

Tenses backshift:
