Class Interval Frequency Class Boundary CM (X) CF: SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK

1) The document provides data on the weights of 40 female freshmen at a college, including class intervals, frequencies, and calculations of mean, median, mode, standard deviation, coefficients of skewness, and coefficient of kurtosis. 2) The coefficients of skewness are close to 0, indicating the data is fairly symmetrical. 3) The coefficient of kurtosis is 2.41, meaning the data has a platykurtic distribution, or is less peaked than a normal distribution.

I. The following data are the weights (in pounds) of 40 sample female freshmen of STI College Ortigas- Cainta.

II. Give a brief interpretation on the data set. (5 points)

For the Pearson’s first coefficient of skewness (mode), the data are fairly symmetrical because the date is 0.02 which is in
between of -0.5 to 0.5. On the second coefficient of skewness (median), the data are fairly symmetrical also because the data is
0.05 which is in between of -0.5 to 0.5. For the Kurtosis, the data is fall under the platykurtic because the coefficient of kurtosis is
2.41 which is less than 3.
