MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Celebrant:
Let us pray fervently to the Heavenly Father that He may pour out abundantly the Spirit
of His Son upon this School (San Pedro Academy) and upon all his holy people. For each
petition, let us say: SEND US YOUR SPIRIT, LORD.

1. That the Spirit of Wisdom may guide the Holy Father, our bishops, priests, deacons, and all
followers of Christ. Let us pray to the Lord

2. That the Spirit of Love may unite all in peace and mutual respect all nations of the world. Let
us pray to the Lord

3. That the Spirit of Consolation may lighten the trials of the poor and the sick and all who suffer
because of this pandemic. Let us pray to the Lord

4. That the Spirit of Knowledge may enlighten all professors, students and non-academic
personnel of San Pedro Academy, especially, in this academic year, 2021-2022.
Let us pray to the Lord

5. That the Spirit of Piety may help us find God in all things. Let us pray to the Lord

6. That the Spirit of Strength may grant us perseverance in our work, especially, in the school
apostolate. Let us pray to the Lord

7. That the Spirit of Truth may make us all witnesses to the Truth of Christ. Let us pray to the
Lord

8. That eternal peace may be granted to the faithful souls departed, especially, the departed
religious administrators, lay professors and alumni of San Pedro Academy.
Let us pray to the Lord

9. In silence, let us ask the Holy Spirit to be with us in our needs. Let us pray to the Lord

Celebrant:
O God, you instructed and transformed the heart of the Apostles by the light of the Holy
Spirit. Grant that by the gift of the same Spirit, we may always be wise, renewed in life and
strengthened in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
