Contoh Ei Function Solution

The document provides an example of calculating the sand face flowing pressure at well 1 using the Ei function solution method. It is a multi-step process where: 1) The pressure drop at well 1 due to its own production is calculated using flow equations. 2) The additional pressure drop at well 1 due to production at well 2 is calculated. 3) The further pressure drop at well 1 due to production at well 3 is calculated. 4) All pressure drops are summed to get the total pressure drop at well 1. 5) The initial reservoir pressure is reduced by the total pressure drop to calculate the flowing pressure at the sand face of well 1.

Contoh Ei Function Solution

Example 1.21
Assume that the tree wells as shown in Figure 1.28 are producing under a transient flow
condition for 15 hours. The following additional data is available :
Qo1 = 100 STB/day (s)well1 = −0. 5
Qo2 = 160 STB/day h = 20 ft
Qo3 = 200 STB/day k = 40 md
pi = 4500 psi rw = 0. 25 ft
Bo = 1. 20 bbl/STB µo = 2. 0 cp
ct = 20 × 10−6 psi−1 r1 = 400 ft
φ = 15% r2 = 700 ft
If the three wells are producing at a constant flow rate, calculate the sand face flowing pressure
at well 1

Solutions
Step 1. Calculate the pressure drop at well 1 caused by its own production by using Equation
1.2.134:

(pi – pwf) = (Δp)well 1 =

[ (

(0.15)(2)(20× 10 )(0.25)

−3.23+0.87( 0)
) ]
= 270.2 psi

Step 2. Calculate the pressure drop at well 1 due to the production from well 2:

[
(Δp)drop due to well 2 = pi – p(r1,t) = −

(Δp)due to well 2 =

]
= 33.888 [−¿ Ei (−¿1.5168)]
= (33.888)(0.13)
= 4.41 psi

Step 3. Calculate the pressure drop due to production from well 3:

(Δp)drop due to well 3 = pi – p(r2,t)

[ ] [ ]

−(70.6)(200)(1.2)(2)
(Δp)drop due to well 3 = Ei ¿

= (42.36) (1.84 × 10-3)
= 0.08 psi

Step 4. Calculate the total pressure drop at well 1:

(Δp)total at well 1 = 270.2 + 4.41 + 0.08
= 274.69 psi

Step 5. Calculate pwf at well 1:

pwf = 4500 – 274.69 = 4225.31 psi
