The Planets Comparative Superlative - Workshop1

Mercury is a small planet and it is very close to the Sun.
Mercury is smaller and closer to the Sun than Earth.
Mercury is the smallest planet in the Solar System and the closest to the
Sun.
We use the comparative form (column 2) to compare two things (or two groups of things).
short adjectives: we add “-er” at the end
long adjectives: we use “more” before it
Remember: We use “THAN” after the comparative!
We use the superlative form (column 3) to say that a thing has a superior quality
compared to others.
