Narrative Accomplishment Report of English Department in

1) The English department held an INSET training to discuss the RPMS tool, reading interventions for students, and distributing learning modules. 2) They agreed to do a COT presentation before the end of the month and conduct reading interventions to address students' reading levels. Distribution of modules would use an app to reduce printing but some teachers found it difficult. 3) The final discussion covered the components of the IPCRF/RPMS tool through a demonstration, so teachers were guided on accomplishing it. The training helped the department work towards shared goals without any problems.

Narrative Accomplishment Report of English Department In-
Service Training

Following the DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2021 (School Calendar and Activities for School Year
2021-2022) wherein the Department of Education (DepEd) reiterates the conduct of In-Service
Training (INSET) for teachers from January 31 to February 5, 2022. The training was spearheaded by
the English Department discussing the RPMS Tool and some other matters concerning the
department.

The session started at 8:30 AM. The group was in quorum and decided to discuss first what
should be done on COT. It was decided that COT will take place after the distribution of English
modules for Quarter 3 which was from February 7 (Monday) to February 11 (Friday). The exact date
of the presentation was not yet decided but it was agreed before the month ends. After which, the
body proceeds to the discussion of the Reading Proficiency status of the learners. Mr. Noel Miguel
Careña, the English Coordinator, relayed that Reading interventions must be done to make some
changes in the reading status of the school. He suggested that a study must be done as an efficient
effort to address the problem. He also notified the Reading Coording, Mr. Elton Davao, that
Outreach Reading Progam in a certain Purok at Barangay Matiao is on the line. The only problem is
the SK Chairman has not given a response yet.

As the session went on, Mr.

Fred Ryan C. Deaño raised a concern
about the distribution of the module.
He proposed the utilization of a
cellphone app wherein the learning
modules are accessible offline. He
simplified that using this app will
lessen the production of printed
modules which is beneficial for the
school. The proposition was
alleviating, but others find it hard
difficult to impose so it was agreed
that Mr. Deaño will use it as Trial and
Error in the Grade 10 level.

The final part of the session

was the discussion of the IPCRF/
RPMS Tools. Mr. Fred Ryan C. Deaño was tasked to discuss this part. As a mentoring process, he
made a walkthrough of its parts and components. He discussed each of the KRAs with their
objectives and also its needed MOVs. To make it realistic, he made a hands-on demonstration on
how to utilize the tool. As for the members of the department, they also participated in the hands-
on using their laptops. After the hands-on, all are determined and guided on what should be
accomplished in the IPCRF/ RPMS tool.

The session ended after the discussion of the IPCRF/ RPMS tool. So far, there were no
problems and conflicts transpired. Everyone in the department participated and shared knowledge
to accomplish one goal.
