Title : Culminating Performance Activity of Grade 5 Learners for Quarter 1

Type : Classroom-led

Schedule : November 8, 2021

Rationale : Assessment of learning should be holistic and authentic in capturing


the attainment of the most essential learning competencies. This statement is one of the
principles stipulated in the DepEd Order No. 31 s. 2020, The Interim Guidelines for
Assessment and Grading in Light of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan. Also, as
stated in DepEd Order No. 8 s. 2015, The Policy Guidelines in Classroom Assessment for the
K to 12 Basic Education Program, assessment should be used to inform and improve
classroom practices and promote learning outcomes. With the basis stated above, it is
imperative for schools particularly classrooms to take assessment and grading practices that
will most meaningfully support learner development and respond to varied contexts. It in
this light that culminating performances in every learning area should be done.

Objectives : The objectives of this activity include:

1. Evaluate learners’ performance in every learning area.


2. Elicit evidence of learning.
3. Showcase learners’ skills and potentials acquired
relative to given competencies.

Methodology: The activity is done virtually in observance of the latest IATF


guidelines. (pls add more, anything that would answer how the activity will be done)
