Announcement: New Cisco Partner Program – Integrator Role

At Partner Summit 2020, we announced the most significant change to our programs in over a decade—the new Cisco
Partner Program. December 18, 2020 marks the first major milestone for when you’ll see updates to certifications,
specializations, and authorizations for the Integrator role.

Effective December 18, 2020, here’s what is changing:

Certifications – new options and requirements

In November, we added a few more specialization options to the list that counts toward your certifications. Additions
include: Customer Experience Specialization, Advanced Customer Experience Specialization, DevNet Specialization &
Advanced DevNet Specialization. This list will continue to evolve as part of our transformation, and we’ll make sure you
know what to expect.

The Customer Experience Specialization or Advanced Customer Experience Specialization is required to

be achieved on or before April 7, 2022 for Gold Integrator and Global Gold Integrator. (The deadline has
been extended from January 7, 2022 to April 7, 2022.)

Certification Level Specialization Options

Updates to Authorizations and Express Specialization

We told you at Partner Summit to expect some immediate changes to authorizations and the Express Specialization, here
is what is changing:

• Authorizations transition to specializations: We are expanding the definition of specializations to include most of the
current authorizations. This means that for the first time, the investment you’ve made in authorizations now counts
toward certification requirements. The exceptions are IP Fabric for Media, which will be retired, and Enterprise
Agreement, which will become a designation and not a specialization.

• New specialization category: The Express category is being relabelled to Specialized. This means we will have three
specialization categories; Specialized, Advanced, and Master. As a result, the Express Specialization tracks simply
become stand-alone specializations with the exception of the Service Provider and Collaboration tracks. Those two
tracks will be retired.

Here’s the complete list of authorizations and specializations that have been transitioned:

Current name New name

Collaboration SaaS Authorization Collaboration SaaS Specialization

Webex Contact Center Authorization Webex Contact Center Specialization

Unified Contact Center Express Authorization Unified Contact Center Express Specialization

Unified Contact Center Enterprise Host Authorization Advanced Unified Contact Center Enterprise
Specialization
Unified Contact Center Enterprise Satellite Authorization Unified Contact Center Enterprise Specialization

HyperFlex Authorization HyperFlex Specialization

Umbrella for MSSPs Authorization Umbrella for MSSPs Specialization

Enterprise Agreement Authorization Enterprise Agreement Designation

Internet of Things (IoT) Authorization Internet of Things (IoT) Specialization*

Express Specialization – Data Center track Data Center Specialization

Express Specialization – Security track Security Specialization

Express Specialization – Small Business track Small Business Specialization

Express Specialization – Networking track Networking Specialization

*Not to be confused with the existing Internet of Things (IoT) Advantage Specialization

Right now, this is mainly a name change. You’ll go to the architecture specializations page instead of the authorizations
page for requirements and related information. And, you probably want to download a new certificate. Otherwise, things
should still be business as usual with your standard renewal and compliance maintenance.

Keep in mind that we reformatted the terms & conditions for the above authorizations so they align to the standard
specialization requirements format. The content has not changed—just the format. It’s possible that you may see an “out
of compliance” flag in PMA. If so, you simply need to click to accept the terms in the PMA application by your next
renewal date. There’s no negative impact if you wait until your anniversary date, other than the flag appearing in PMA.

Retiring, but available for 90 days

The transition period for the following authorization and Express Specialization tracks begins December 19, 2020. You
can still apply or renew through March 19, 2021. You will retain your credential in Partner Locator and Cisco databases
through your anniversary date. Here’s what’s retiring:

• IP Fabric for Media Authorization – will continue with current name

• Express Specialization – Collaboration track – will show up as Collaboration Specialization

• Express Specialization – Service Provider track – will show up as Service Provider Specialization

What should you do next?

• Bookmark the architecture specializations page

• Download an updated certificate

• Review the latest certification requirements

• Explore the Cisco Partner Program ebook
