Material
1.0 PURPOSE:
The purpose of this work procedure is for “Supervision and execution of Material
loading and Unloading works and to ensure that proper quality control is exercised at
site”.

2.0 SCOPE:
 This method statement provides guidance on the safe use and operation of F15 cranes
to ensure the safety of personnel working at or nearby those cranes.
 This method statement provides covers management and planning of the lifting
operation of F15 Crane. Requirements for operators, riggers and signallers. It also
contains guidance pertaining to the selection, safe use and specific precautions when
cranes are operating within a workplace.

3.0 Project Key Person :

4.0 PROCDURE:
A) Preparation
 Prior to start the Loading and Unloading of material, plant & Machinery, make sure the
following point

B) Site survey and underground services check


 Joint inspection (Site, Safety, Survey and MEP) and check feasibility of F15 Crane Poisoning &
Container Placing.
 Check the Soil condition, properly compaction for placing F15 crane.

C) Foundation

 Prepare the foundation/ concrete block as per approved design wherever required.
 Do not unload any Material on loose sand or clay.

 Material shall be stacked after unloading over consolidated base according to the material
stacking requirement as per the approved QAP for the material.

D) Check points for Unloading and placing of Container

 Ensure pre-start check has been done for both F15 crane prior to lifting and shifting
operation.
 Valid TPI certificate will be available for lifting gears as well as both F15 crane.
 Ensure colour coding of all lifting gears before use.
 Access to be clear during lifting of Container.
 Only competent operate to be appoint for operating F15 crane.
 Authorised/Competent Rigger will be available at the time of Lifting & unloading of
container.
 Provision for the Container lifting is provided on Top of the container. Unload the Container
from Top lifting point by lifting with proper lifting tackle or webbing sling / steel rope of
suitable capacity and crane to ensure no damage during unloading.
 Both F15 Crane operators will follow the instruction of Rigger during unloading.
 Both Operators should be fix F15 outrigger before start unloading process.
 Flagman/Signalman will be available for movement of Trailer & F15 Crane.

E) Program for Unloading and placing of Container

 Mark Location for Placing the material/machinery/equipment


 The allocated area/base shall be well compacted prior to unloading the material.
 PCC shall be laid as per the requirement.
 Place Trailer in at unloading points.
 Place both F15 Crane at lifting location.
 Fix wire rope/ Web Sling with D shackle at the top of container.
 Lift slowly and check that Load is appearing at all 04 lifting Point and Slings.
 Lift the material/machinery/equipment with both F15 crane simultaneously up to 300mm
from the trailer Bed.
 Check Trailer will be free after lifting.
 Move trailer in forward direction slowly.
 After leaving the trailer, the material/equipment/machinery shall be lowered slowly and
simultaneously and the same shall be placed on compacted soil base/ Foundation/ Concrete
Blocks whichever is applicable.
 Check the proper placement of material/equipment/machinery on compacted soil base/
PCC base/concrete foundation/ concrete blocks.
 Unhook the Lifting Gears and release F15 crane.

5.0 Plant & equipments Requirement:

 Wire Rope/ Web Slings 6 Mtr, 5MT 04 Nos
 D-Shackle 12 MT 04 Nos
 25 mm Guide Rope 02 Nos
