Script For Final Defense

The document discusses a study on CPAs' level of satisfaction with a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program. It finds that there is no significant difference in satisfaction levels based on years of experience, area of practice, or current position. This confirms the null hypothesis and is supported by two other studies. While overall satisfaction is high, some CPAs still misunderstand the objective of CPD and how it relates to their work. The study concludes that several factors influence satisfaction levels but profile does not have a significant impact.

Based on the information gathered from the respondents and the results
therefrom, it shows that there is no significant difference between CPA’s level of
satisfaction concerning the CPD Program and years of experience, area of practice
and current position, meaning the respondents (CPAs), regardless of how many
years they have through with, any area of accounting practice they involve with,
and current position they have now, they just have similar levels of satisfaction on
the implemented CPD program. Thus, this result determines that it fails to reject
the null hypothesis.

The aforementioned was also supported by Lucas (2017) in his study which
revealed that there is no significant difference observed on the CPA’s level of
satisfaction when analyzed by years of experience, area of practice, and current
position.

Further, from Tan (2015), CPAs continued to misunderstand the objective of CPD
program and did not see how it pertains to their current position or work.

This academic inquiry has revealed that the overall level of satisfaction of CPAs is
high, indicating that the factors could influence the level of satisfaction of
accountants. This level is true to some of its indicators: delivery methods and
quality, and benefit to others.

Other indicators such as value, benefit to self, and barriers (in obtaining CPD) are
somewhat high, demonstrating that, to some extent, they can influence the level
of satisfaction of accountants.

On the other hand, the overall result failed to reject the null hypothesis which
means that there was no significant difference on the level of satisfaction of the
accountants of Davao del Sur towards the Continuing Professional Development
Program when analyzed by profile.
